Rock Climbing
Bea's backpack finally became quite. In fact, she didn't hear anything coming from it at all. As she climbed from rock to rock, she felt something rough brusk up against her hand.
When her head finally caught up to it, she was gazing upon bird-dragons. Bea gasped at the sight of them. It must have been their nesting area. Bea tried to climb the ledges around the nests to avoid them. Problem was, the bird-dragons noticed her barnacle crusted fingers and gave chase.
"OW OW OW OW OW OW! LEAVE ME ALONE! I WASN'T GOING AFTER YOUR EGGS! REALLY!!!" Bea yelled as the creatures pecked at her. "SHOO!" she took the backpack and waved it around, hoping to steer the things away from her. "SHOO!" she shouted with every swing.
But there it was! The third flag! Bea quickly grabbed it from one of the nests before reaching the next ledge. She made we way to safety with only a few peck marks here and there.

Rock Climbing
Bea's hands were numb, her legs and arms wobbly. Everything felt sore. It was hard to keep her mind positive. She was near the top now, but she was getting so exhausted. This was really pushing her limits.
"Are you okay in there?" Bea was beginning to feel concerned for the little green guide.
All was quiet. All Bea could hear were the sounds of wind going through the tunnel of her ears.
"Did you know that friends will always be there for you?"
Friends. Bea held her place for a moment as she thought about her teammates. They have all worked so hard to get this far in the trials. Bea wondered how well they were doing. Hoping that they were successful. Hoping they were vigilent. Hoping that they were safe...
A tear came trickling down her cheek, but she couldn't feel it against the rain. Bea felt a sudden burst of optimism. She wasn't doing this for herself. She was doing it for her team! For her friends!
Bea finally reached the top where the last flag was waiting for her. Through her perseverance and the support of her friends, Bea felt that she didn't need anything else to succeed...

((OOC: Bea got rockclimbing, so Gene chooses Long Grass Field))
Today was the day for coffee. Unfortunately, coffee was not to be found or had on this Jack forsaken day. Hands buried deep in her trench coat's pockets, the doppelganger ghoul shivered from head to toe. The coat and her hat were the only things that could keep her warm, and they were failing at their job miserably. Today was not the day to be wearing just tights.
She gave the other two a shaky thumbs up and smile as they went their own ways to their own courses. She took a look at the courses laid out, and quickly decided that the grassy one would be best. She did love the smell of grass.

((OOC: Gene is gone with the wind!))
Arriving at the course, the ghoul was very displeased to find that the grass was much, much taller than her. She let go of a long, slumped shoulders sigh before unzipping her backpack halfway, allowing the small mini to poke its head out.
"So...do I need to cut this grass down, or just walk through it?"
"Did you know that strong gusts of wind can literally blow people away?"
"What? How is that even relevant?" Gene huffed, and closed the pack. Dumb, dumb mini.
And then, she was soaring through the air.
FATE, Y U SO CRUEL?

((OOC: The wind blew Gene to Snow Dash!))
The doppelganger ghoul hit the ground rather soft, thanks to the blanket of white that surrounded her. Her clothes were now a mess, and she was now feeling three times as cold. Awesooooome. Snow, wind, and rain; why had she opted for the trench coat again? Her pea coat would be ever so lovely right now, especially paired with a hoodie, a scarf, and a beanie. But instead, she had her trench coat and a tam. Great.
There was thumping in her backpack, and the ghoul quickly opened it. Maybe she should actually listen to the little bunny thing now?
"Did you know that I'm extremely relevant? In other news, Snooki's baby will be missing a nose, due to all her alcohol intake!"
"WHO THE JACK IS SNOOKI?" Gene shoved the lepus back into the pack, highly irritated. Stupid dang trials with your stupid dang pets and your stupid dang judgments. She'd show you.

Snow Dash!
The course seemed very, very simple to Gene. Almost too simple, really. Then again, maybe she'd caught a lucky break? That would be ever so nice.
"Did you know that running makes you go faster?" Oh, cheeky now, was he? Gene set her face to look stonily at the lepus, before she began to run. He had a point, after all - even if he was a sarcastic butt head.
She continued to run, seeing a flag ahead. Yes! A few more steps and it was hers!
A crackling began to creep its way into the ghoul's eardrums, quickly growing louder and louder as the sound got closer. CRAP! The ice she had been running on broke in half in an attempt to make her do an awkwardly painful version of the splits. Not gonna happen, ice! She performed a bounding leap, grabbing the flag as she hit the snow.
A sigh of relief.
"Did you know that thin ice is the number one cause of death to people who run on it?"
"Did you know that I hate you?"

Snow Dash!
Cheered by her victory over the thin ice, the doppelganger strutted for the next part of the course. Oh yeah, her day was totally looking up.
Wait, since when was she only three feet tall? And why was the snow so high up?
Oh, Jack freaking darn. She was sinking into the snow. She flailed, screamed, and tried to run, only dragging her down deeper. ALL THE SUCK.
"Did you know that panicking is bad?" The Lepus put up a flag, signaling that his charge was down and out for this round. She was such a sweet ghoul too.

Gene woke with a start, her mind still in panic mode. She kicked the sheets of the bed off, swinging her fists and loudly declaring a 'come at me, bro!' When no one answered, she realized that they were in the infirmary, and that she was still really cold and really wet.
Oh Jack she was really cold.
Quick as a bullet, the doppelganger was back in bed, sheets pulled up to her chin, and still shivering. Note to self: invest in awesomely cute snow shoes. Taking a look around the room, her eyes fell on a familiar flame demon. She obviously wasn't okay, but maybe Danny was a little better off?
"Danny....! How did you d-do?" A few coughs and a sneeze punctuated the question, and a deep inhale of the nose to get rid of snot ended it. Ick.

THE CAVE OF DARKNESS
A new day, a new adventure. Danny had basically fallen asleep after a quick talk with the other ghouls in the infirmary, and slept off most of her injuries. She'd gotten up earlier than the others, and was already back on the courses. The warm air was nice, but the humidity was making it feel a little choked. She decided to take a path that had a cave up ahead, hoping that maybe there'd be some relief from the temperature.
The second she got inside, the lights went out. Well, almost. Her tail was providing a nice glow, and a fireball in her hand was keeping the area in front of her somewhat lit. It wasn't too bad.
Danny stayed in one spot for a moment or two, not sure what was going on. The only sound she got was an eerie sort of wind noise. "Did you know I'm kind of scared?"
"Hey you're back!"
"Did you know that caves sometimes contain-"
Danny wasn't listening. She'd taken off running, completely recklessly. It couldn't have been more than 2 minutes, but as soon as she felt her feet lose their grip, she knew she was falling. She was impaled and dissipated in seconds.
"Spiked pits?"

Long Grass Field
Gene had been the second of the ghouls to wake up, snow free, completely dry, and feeling only a little worse for wear. All in all, it had been a good sleep. It was time for the Trial now, though, and she set herself resolutely towards the courses.
It was foggy out, yet humid. Her trench coat was gone withing seconds, stuffed into her pack. Maybe the annoying Lepus would die of heat stroke? Hopefully.
"Did you know that your coat is actually quite cool to the touch?"
Hopes dashed.
Ah, she'd arrived. She was going to choose this course yesterday, but the wind had decided she needed to go in the snow. Stupid wind making stupid bad choices.
"Did you know that the move Grass Knot does more damage on heavier opponents?" The menace had returned, spouting more non relevant information.
"What are you even-" Again, this talking bunny thing was actually being relevant, in its own retarded way. Her knees hit the ground, but not too hard. It just stung a little. Something brushed by overhead, making her hair stand on end. Maybe it was a good thing she'd just been brought down.
Oh, look, a flag!

Long Grass Field
Visibility had become next to nothing as the reeds progressively blotted out the sun, leaving only her ghastly glow to light the way. She was hard pressed to even walk in the right direction, but with the feeling of something chasing you? This was much harder than initially expected.
"Did you know that water attracts beasties?" The Lepus popped his head out of the bag, seemingly unfazed by the near total darkness. The doppelganger almost questioned him, but then she stepped in water.
"I really hope you're wrong on this one..."

Long Grass Field
Lost, confused, and alone Gene began to softly cry as she walked through the grass maze. She was vaguely aware that she really wasn't alone thanks to a) The Lepus and b) the massive snakes slithering on the ground. But, she was too emo right now to care. She just wanted a nice warm cup of coffee, her gal pals, and a bed. This place sucked.
"Did you know that you'll probably die again?"

Long Grass Field
Few things in the world could make a ghoul stop crying outright. A giant feathered snake was one of them. It hissed, she stood in silent shock, unable to even move a muscle. A forked tongue lipped the lick to the snake, before its maw took a large chunk out of the right portion of Gene's torso.
She'd wake up later that day in the Infirmary feeling woozy and sore in her right side.

The fire cave...
Based on it's name, it seemed like the perfect place for Danny. Not that heat or anything bothered Bea... or did it? Well, there was that one time at the haunted house... But as long as there were no spookie suits, it didn't seem like too bad of a course, right?

The Cave of FIAH
It was bad enough that Bea couldn't see very far ahead of her because of the fog but what made it worse was the humidity. One would think the moisture in the air would make it easier for her to breath. Think again...As the seawater dropped from Bea's skin, it already began to sizzle once it hit the floor of the fire cave. It was ridiculously hot. She wiped the sweat off her brow in disgust. This was worse than the haunted house lava pit... Even without the spookie suit...
Bea took off her shoes, and the instant she set her foot down she immediately jumped from one foot to the other, avoiding to keep her feet on the ground for too long.
"HOT HOT HOT HOT!" she said with every step she made across the red hot coals. It was like walking on hot sand at the beach... Only a bazillion times worse. If it wasn't for the humidity, her feet would have dried up already. Luckily Bea managed to float a bit every time she took a leap.
She made it to the other side safely. And with one quick snatch, Bea grabbed hr first flag for the day.
