Yin obligingly lifted his own mattress so she could look under that as well, not wanting Miss Danny to strain herself. "I do not know how to use one, so it would be pointless for me to own one Miss Danny. But I am being honest when I tell you that I do not own one, I would not lie to you Miss Danny."
Really he found this search of his room rather odd, but he was not bothered by it. Princess Eva was more upset as Crown Princess Danny was moving around and she had to leap down to the floor.

Oh my Jack he was telling the truth. Yin was jacking telling the truth. Danny stared at Yin for a moment, then opened her cellphone, saying, "Just a second." She pressed some buttons then listened to the dial tone for a while. Once it connected, she said, "Hi deadie! I was wondering if I could pretty pretty please with scaries on top have a scraptop for my friend Yin." She was applying all of the "deadie's little ghoul" tone that was neccessary.
"What for?" her father's voice rang through the phone. He always talked unusually loud on the phone.
"Well he doesn't have one ... and like ... all students should have one!" She paused for dramatic effect, then said, "It's for his education deadie!!"
A few seconds passed, then Danny said, "Oh thank you deadie! Just have it given to me at school and I'll give it to him, okay? Yay!" That part actually seemed sincere. Then in a flatter, somewhat nuanced voice she said, "I love you deadie call you later BYE!"
With that, she hung up the phone and turned her attentions back to Yin. "Okey dokey. I'll just go show you on my computer, okay?" She gave him a smile that very obliviously said that she felt no qualms about buying him a freakin' scraptop.

Miss Danny was telling him to hold on for a moment, and without a second thought he waited as she began using her phone. Oh, she was calling her father? She was asking him...wait. Wait what? He was staring at her now, jaw literally dropped open as he gaped at her. What had she just asked?
"What--what are you doing Miss Danny?" His voice cracked in disbelief as he try to talk, but she was already moving on, giving her father reasons to get him a scraptop.
He barely even knew what a scraptop was.
The next thing he knew she was off the phone and he was still just staring at her. "Miss Danny what did you just do? I am not....You should not...I just..." He probably would have been babbling, but he could not even put together the sentences to babble.

Danny froze (an impressive feat for a fire demon OHOHO I'M SO FUNNY) and her eyes darted around.
"What? What did I do!" she shouted, worried she had somehow disrupted the flow of Halloween by doing something. Yin looked so concerned! He was stuttering too!
Clearly she had done something to break Halloween.

Yin swallowed, gesturing at her for a minute. "Did you...did you just ask your father to purchase a scraptop for me?!" He was still staring at her, eyes wide.
He had no idea what to do with a scraptop, and if he had had any idea of what one cost he really would have been through the roof.

Danny's head reeled back in confusion. She looked left, and then right. Had she heard Yin right?
"Uh. Yeah? What's wrong Yin? It's only like a thousand seeds, seriously. It's no big deal!" She laughed and waved her arms. Oh Yin, you so silly.

"A....a thousand..." he was actually beginning to feel nauseous as he tried to wrap his head around how many seeds that actually was.
"Miss Danny you cannot mean...a thousand?!" Oh Great Mantis how would he ever be able to pay her back for something so expensive? And he had to tell her as much. Flushing in embarrassment he looked at the floor. "But I have no seeds with which to repay him..."

Danny waved her hand like they were talking about a single seed or maybe a piece of candy. "Oh don't worry about it. You don't need to pay me back." She smiled and grabbed his wrist.
"C'mon let's go to my dorm I wanna show you groanspring!" she said, walking him towards the door. She was a bullet, just bouncing from one subject to the next.

Yin was not accustomed to demons, and their mysterious and vast sources of fundage. He allowed himself to be dragged after her, still trying to wrap his mind around what had just happened.
"Is groanspring really worth a thousand seeds?" he managed as they made their way down the hallway. He was certainly going to have to learn about it if she had gotten her father to purchase a scraptop just for such a purpose.

As they walked, Danny pressed a finger to her chin in thought. "Hmmm I dunno. I've never tried to buy groanspring!" she said, quite amiably, but quite seriously. "Why? Do you want to own groanspring Yin?"
Footsteps thudded on the grass of Amityville, and by now she'd let go of yin's hand, but she was hoping that he was still following closely behind. Otherwise her whole plan was pointless.
"Hmm it would be fun to be friends with the boil who owns groanspring!"

Yin was not sure why she was asking him if he wanted to own it, but he did give it some consideration. "I do not really understand it so I do not believe I wish to own it," he said weakly as he trailed along, really not to sure of what was even going on anymore.
"I am sure that whoever owns groanspring would be very lucky to be your friend Miss Danny," he assured her. They were making pretty good time back to the demon dorms, though really, he was just as baffled as when she had first started talking about groanspring. Maybe her scraptop would make it all make more sense.

Danny smiled aimlessly as she dragged the mantis boil into her room, practically setting him on her little couch-bed herself. The poor thing was just dragged around, like always. She sat herself down on her rolling chair, opening the orange scraptop that sat on top of her desk.
It didn't do anything at first, until Danny remembered you had to actually turn it on.
She pressed the button, and the console lit up, like always. She waited for a few minutes, aimlessly playing with the fringe on the ends of her shorts. As it finally loaded, Danny followed the little instructions she'd written for herself to get to groanspring.
She skimmed down the page, showing Yin everything. "See? You just answer questions, that's it!" She smiled, hoping the mantis boil was following.

In no time at all Yin found himself in Miss Danny's room, not entirely sure how he got there.
Then he watched. Miss Danny opened up the scraptop and sat there for a minute, possibly praying to it.
Then it turned on magically when she touched it. He watched carefully as the screen changed. Then apparently...oh joy it involved reading.
Then the lecture began as she glossed over the page. "Oh er...that looks nice. What questions do you have waiting on you?" he questioned, wondering what sorts of things were typically asked.

Danny flicked through the pages aimlessly. There wasn't much going on in the ways of groanspring. Everyone was feeling relatively relaxed in terms of questions it seemed.
Her eyes caught a simple one that Yin could probably understand. "Oh! Here. 'What kind of lemonade is your favorite?'" she recited. "See you just type in what kind's your favorite, and other people see your answers and stuff." She wasn't really sure how it all worked, but she knew it was fun to get questions.
"And its really useful for like ... throwing parties and stuff! 'Cause you can invite everyone over like instantly." She knew Roch had gotten the word out more than a few times that way. "See? It's fun. I bet Mort could show you how to put your scraptop together too." She was smiling and nodding, excited in the same way her mother got when planning one of her ridiculous "parties." The pumpkin really didn't fall far from the vine.

The real trick to this question was what in Halloween was lemonade, and what types of it were there. But she did not seem to be waiting on an actual answer so he let it slide for now. He could always track down what a lemonade was later. For now, he should probably just focus on whatever it was she was doing.
"I have never...thrown...a party," he admitted, still staring at the screen. "And does Mort know much about scraptops?" He liked the zomboil, and he was on his team for the trials. Perhaps there would be an opportunity to question him about the odd device. Speaking of which, Yin still was not satisfied with that. "Are you positive it was fine to ask your father about getting me a scraptop? Surely not every student has one." At least, he had not known it was a necessity if they did.
