Ibara didn't even see the fist comming. It pierced her forehead and she was sent sprawling back, sliding to a stop. It seemed as if she wasn't moving! Her hat was stranded to the side.
The bartender's fingers twitched as she begun to get up comning back to conciousnes. Cackling she was getting up, blood was over her face, but she managed to smile. "Y-yeah that one hurt-"
Staggering to her feet for a moment she smiled once more, wiping the blood off her eyes. "Thats a useful way to use those thorns Miss Kazami!"
The gardener was gettitn Hinasaru's respect, indeed,"Seeing as I won't last this much with so much blood everywhere, I will try to get this straight!"
Pulling out a small skill spell card she called out its name," Secretive Arts~ Final Breath!"
After pulling what look like a sword hilt from her sunbelt buckle, some red energy came from her arm forming a sword of quivering energy. With a final dash, she came down with a slash, it could probably slash the parasol's chute but, the attack in itself was weak and more about speed.

---
It happened so fast. Too fast. Had she been complacent for too long? Her reflexes had certainly dwindled. She had seen the attack commence, but with her arms in the state they were in, she was unable to effect a defense in time. Yuuka let out a heavy sigh, staring up at the clouds that now filled her vision. She could feel warmth trickle from her arms, and her parasol's handle felt...much too light in her grasp.
The kinetic impact of Ibara's blow, coupled with the sudden pain and shock from the sword's strike had winded her, leaving Yuuka flat on her back. As fun as the fight was, she truly had nothing against this unknown girl, whom was even considerate enough to apologize for tearing a few vines. In fact, one might go so far as to say she was indebted to the girl, this Ibara Hinasaru, for livening up an otherwise dull expansion of time.
Yuuka wasn't sure what to call this feeling, but for the moment, it didn't matter. Collecting her wits, Yuuka eased to her feet and brushed herself off, taking note of the damage she had received: one arm had been cut deeply by Ibara's blade, and the other had deep puncture wounds inflicted by her own thorns. It had been a long time since she had seen this much of her own blood.
She turned to Ibara, casually tossing the remnant of her parasol at the girl's feet. "I concede..." Blood still dripping from her fingers, she raised a hand and brushed her vibrant green hair from her face, while giving Ibara a small smile.
"Thank you."

...
Her attack had suceed, far better than she had expected. Yuuka fell back, but Ibara was tired out as well. With a few stumble, to try to regain her balance, the sword flickered out. She stood for a bit before falling face first to the ground, panting desperately.
Using that skill card was much easier than its spell card cousin, but quite literally it was a last breath. Ibara was paralyzed by her own attack, but when she heard Yuuka get up and brush off, the bartender was obliged to get up, if anything by her pride.
She begun to push herself up, arms shaking, before finally managing to stand. Unlike Yuuka she was much used to seeing her blood stain the floor, after all, the various scars that littered her arms where signs of that. With a bit of a strain Hinarasu picked up the remaints of the parasol and the hilt of the sword, tucking it back into the belt buckle "No problem, this was fun..."
She chuckled tiredly, feeling faint,"I can't say I won- That was too close of an end, besides in friendly sparring its all about the fun-" Another tired chuckle, she was most definitely closer to passing out than to remaining concious..

In a moment, Yuuka was beside Ibara, clutching the girl's waist and gripping her arm over her own neck. "You've won my game. I suppose that means you'll do what you want now." More vines sprouted from the ground, these having no thorns, and began to wrap themselves tightly around both Yuuka's and Ibara's wounded limbs, acting as makeshift bandages. Slowly, Yuuka helped the girl down the path, leading toward her mansion.
"But I can't afford to leave a bleeding corpse laid out across my garden, despite the nutrition you would bring. Far too many illbegotten rumors surround this place."

Ibara blinked as Yuuka came to aid her down to the mansion, the bartender was very weak, so she let it be." I would not do anything to disrespect someone who deserves respect..." she replied, letting Yuuka take her along, but doing her best to help the host.
"Haha, a drunk folks blood would only poison the earth-" a pause as she could spot a mansion," a sinner's blood is twice as bad, as well."

"Sin is an invention of mankind. The earth passes no judgement; it gives and takes no quarter. Here, there's just you, and me." It was obvious this woman held a troubled past.
Yuuka led Ibara through the door of the mansion, opening into an extravagant hall filled of marble and art, littered with plant life growing through and around walls, objects and doorways. She helped Ibara to an antique sofa with a floral print and dark stained wooden frame. "You're welcome to stay until you can move on your own accord. Afterwards, you may leave."

"Thats one way to look at it, dear, but why bother with Sin's as in the biblical sense? I talk about it in the sense that they are weights tied to your soul..." Pensive for a second she continued," Though those make more sense as remorse."
Ibara might have made a comment on the beatiful decorations, but she mostly let herself be set down, "Thank you, I hope you don't mind my presence."

"It's nothing, I assure you."
Yuuka couldn't help but feel sadness for Ibara, this girl who moments ago showed such joy and confidence, now looking defeated and remorseful. "How ironic," she said, while beginning to unwrap the vines around her arms, "that one with 'strength enough to move mountains' cannot lift the weight of her own soul?" The vines dropped to the floor and instantly crumbled, having been drained of their nutrients. Her puncture wounds had already healed, and the cut inflicted by Ibara's sword had stopped bleeding.
"What happened in your past is yours, and yours alone, to bear. However, you must choose your burdens wisely, or else you'll risk becoming weighed down, unmoving, unwanted and...alone." Yuuka hesitated, wondering if she had said too much to the girl. She paused for a moment, staring down at Ibara thoughtfully, when she remembered the vines wrapped around the girl's injured limbs. A quick flexing of the fingers, and small, white flowers began to appear, scattered along the vines.
"You're right about one thing, though: Flowers won't bloom with a sinner's blood."

Ibara guessed that the small fight had revealed more than just a few things. But as oni said,"the way to someone's soul is through a fight." "I am not quite that strong to be honest, and when I am, its because something is wrong,"Ibara sighed in responsce.
"I suppose so, but my past haunts in me in many ways...I am unwanted and alone, by many, but I do not care about people, why should I?" She was merely trying to convince herself.
The girl smiles softly at the flowers," These must be special flowers then."

"If you didn't care about people, then you wouldn't exist right now. Even the lowliest of Youkai 'care' about people, if only as a meal. The point is, it's impossible for one to completely stop caring; such ability is reserved for the dead."
Yuuka sat beside Ibara, her hands clasped over her knees. She turned to the girl and smiled. "Your past is just that; the past. There is nothing we can do to change it, no matter how hard we try. All we can do is learn, and move forward."

"Its the past, but..:Had I not done what I did..:mY life would be diffrent, very diffrent. I have left it behind, but it has made me who...no, what I am..."
Ibara looked sideways at Yuuka,"You also seem like someone who knows a great deal about things like this...I see you have had your bery own hardships."

"And what you are, is beautiful."
"It comes with living a long life. I've watched both friend and enemy come and go, years, decades in between." Yuuka tilted her head down, staring at the floor. "One can become detached, but to completely remove oneself from emotion means certain death...or rather, it will turn you into something worse than dead."
She stood and patted her skirt, flattening it out. "You're thinking too hard about things. Right now you should focus on recovering your strength," Yuuka turned and glared at Ibara, "for when you next trespass, you can be sure I'll make you pay for disgracing me in my own garden."
((how's THAT for complicated? caring, indifferent AND aggressive all in the same moment! <3 Yuuka))

"..." Well Ibara was confused, but she let her host go on.
"Ah...That is true, not being attached to something makes your life a waste..and decades come and gone are perfect for understanding that."
Ibara looked up at Yuuka puzzled, but she had to grin," Hehe, you can only make me pay if you can catch me~"
The bartender seemed to like Yuuka, the lady was weird but very wise, and who wasn't their own touch of weird these days anyway?
((lovely~))

There it was - that spark of life. No doubt it was that same spark that kept Ibara going through all her troubles.
"Good. So long as we have that clear...however, seeing as you're already within my home, dare I say I've already caught you?" Her warm smile returned. "Are you feeling better?"

"Sure, you can say you caught me, so long as you don't feed my bones to your plants, I think we will be fine~" Ibara chuckled but she noddd with another small smile,"Actually I am, those plants work magic on cuts." she actually did feel better in more than one way.
"This mansion is impressive even by Gensokyo standards."
