Roch was distracted from staring at the crowd, trying to find out who else had come to see this when he saw a large brown... hairy ball. He stared at it. He stared at it longer. Then he did what any teenage boil that had never seen a coconut did--he went and grabbed it.
"Big hairy ball should be in the castle!" he said, running over to Moure and handing it to him before running off to find other seriously strange things. "Hey, look! It's like... a relative!" he said, crouching down and poking at a poky ball on the ground.
Hmmm... He dug through his swimming trunk pockets and pulled out--two forks. Yes. Two forks. Then he proceeded to pick it up with the forks. "This thing, too!" he said.
Had Roch forgotten this was a trial? Why yes, yes he had.

Moure looked up when Roch shouted out, turning to see the reaper coming over with some kind of...large ball-like object. The undead sort of stared at the thing as it was placed in his hand, then shrugged and looked to their forming castle. "Sure, I guess. Might as well, right?" He formed a little blob of sand in the center of the castle, and then stuck the coconut in it. Yup. Someone could move it later, but right now he had to deal with whatever else the reaper found.
Which was apparently some kind of spined thing. It looks like it'd be painful to touch, but apparently Roch was prepared, kind of, for this too. Moure discovered that he was not at all surprised by the fact that the purple-haired boil had some forks on hand. Moure waved a hand to the castle with a slight grin. "By all means, stick it on. It kind of looks like it could do some damage if someone tried to step on our castle, actually." The patchwork moved out of the way, taking his sand dollar with and putting it carefully on the castle's front side as he did so. Roch could put his find wherever he'd like, really.
In the mean time, it occured to Moure that a moat might be a good idea. That was supposed to be like some kind of defense, right? Plus, it looked cool. As such, Moure started digging out sand, a slight cringe passing over his face as he realized that the sand might get in between his stitches if he wasn't careful. Ergh, he'd be washing those out later.
But in any case, the patchwork continued to dig out a moat. Sand in his wrist would be a small price to pay for the chance at the blessing of the Horsemen.

The punk boil took on a super serious face, moving this way and that, still holding his spiky "cousin" as he examined their sandcastle. Then, looking much like an artist, he placed the sea urchin--
On top of the castle. Seriously, Roch? SERIOUSLY?
Roch was pleased.

The moment they were told they could go around, Roch jerked, a grin pulling at his lips, and had he had a tail, it would have been wagging. But before he did anything he looked down at his chest.
He frowned, poking his skin and watching it turn white where he touched. Then it turned right back to the brilliant red color it had been before. "Well... jack," he said, wincing slightly even as he poked it again. "Anybody know what this is?" he asked anyone listening.

Rikki examined their work on the sandcastle, made a few pats that didn't really seem to do much, and nodded like he was pleased. there. That totally looked like a sandcastle.
Right?
Right.
He turned to Roch just as he started asking a question and busted out in uncontrollable laughter. "DUDE. You look ridiculous." He crawled over - crawled, because he was laughing too hard to stand up - and poke a particularly vibrant spot. "What happened to you, bro?"

"Ow." The spot turned white when poked, then flared red again, wildly. "Hell if I know! One minute I'm normal, next minute I'm crispy on the outside," Roch complained, holding up his arm and poking it. The change of color made him almost not notice how PAINFUL it was. "What the hell is this? It even hurts to move!"

Circe skipped along the path from her team's sandcastle with her fellow teammate El Greco in tow. The sun was shinning brightly above and the blonde headed ghoul seemed to glow in it's light. Though, her thoughts were elsewhere. All the boils with no shirts on had her mind spinning with impure thoughts. However they quickly changed when she arrived at the Ice Breakers sandcastle building area and saw a familiar face among them.
"Roch!" She exclaimed, skipping quickly over to him and hugging him. "You're on a team too?" Circe asked, her arms still tightly around him and a huge smile breaching her expression. Though, she took little notice of the red skin the boil had let alone that her hugging him might have caused him pain.

The surprise hug attack? It received a squeal like yelp of pain. "Off!! Please off?!!" he yelped, trying to get the reaper ghoul off of him without hurting her--or himself more. He managed to squirm free, turning so he was facing her and holding up both hands. "No hugs, please? Not right now--Owww." So. Much. Pain. Not the normal type, either, this was AGONIZING. He reached up, summoning his guitar in one hand and his FEAR in his other.

When the boil yelped she stayed as she was and then let him wiggle free without a fight. "What happened to you?" She asked, finally noticing his red skin. "Ow?" Circe asked as she tilted her head to one side. However her joy of the moment quickly faded when the boil summoned his FEAR and guitar.
OoO QAQ What had she done to make him want to attack her? He didn't seem to hate her hugs that much the last time they had encountered each other.
"Put your FEAR away or you'll get disqualified." She said with a sniffle, small little droplets of tears in her eyes. Circe didn't want to have to hurt Roch if she didn't have to. Or herself for that matter. If he used his FEAR abilities she would too. And that didn't seem like a good idea. Especially if it meant disqualifying herself and her team. "I'm sorry for hugging you. I won't do it anymore." Circe whimpered.

He stared at her blankly even as his hand touched his chest, running over it slowly. The red started changing to brown. "Huh? You think I'll be disqualified for healing myself?" he asked, running his hand down his arm, then switching his guitar to his opposite hand to do that arm. "Jaaaack, I can't reach my back all the way," he said as he tried to heal that. "Circe, you know how to heal yet?" he asked hopefully.

"I... Don't know?" She replied, her cheeks turning pink now. Her embarrassment quickly faded. "Nope, not a clue on how to heal." She said with a pout. Had he needed her to fend off a foe with her FEAR ability she could have done it. Hand to hand combat, well it was still lacking but at least she had improved a little from West's help.
Then a smile came to her face once again. "But now I can at least somewhat fend off a foe." She winked, wanting to tell the boil all about her new found combat skills. "When did you learn how to heal yourself?" She asked, trying to get back on track with the subject at hand.

"I took a class over and over again, which means I had to face Cricket on a regular basis, now THAT was scary," he said, grinning at her now that he was (mostly) healed. He kept twisting and turning, trying to touch all of his back and get rid of the redness. He turned, showing her the back in question. "You see any red on this?" he asked her. There was a tiny spot right between his shoulder blades.

Rikki had wandered off, but hadn't gone far. In fact, he was still close enough that he could very much see when an attractive ghoul practically laid herself all over Roch.
... He was such a bad friend. He slid up to Roch's side and wrapped his arm around his bare waist, resting his other hand on the boil's chest. "Rochyyyy. Who's this?" Was there a feminine pout to his lips? Yes. Did he snuggle himself closer into Roch's side than was perhaps necessary? Absolutely. Acting was about sacrifices.

Circe's black eyes went wide with both fear and amazement. "You met with Cricket regularly?" She said, feeling the need to almost bow down at his feet. "I hope I never have to." Circe nodded her head before her attention was shifted to the boils back. "There is a spot here." She said, touching one finger to Roch's back, just below the area that had been burned.
The ghoul could only blink in confusion when another boil showed up and began to touch Roch. Were they a couple? Circe smiled to the boil and then clasped her hands together. That must be it! "I'm Circe, Circe Livonia! Are you Roch's boilfriend?" She asked, not really knowing what the case was with Roch. Then again, she had never asked what his preference was.
