Demi was digging, West and Levi getting water and such, and Bul was still fooling around collecting things. Turning back to the group now the half beast pushed himself off the sand and put on his srs face.
"Okay guys. Let's rock," he grinned and followed the other red-head around, patting and slapping the sand with his tail wherever it was moist to help build the thing. His little crab buddy followed him around still but the monster boil had yet to notice.
"Nice moat Demi," Bul chuckled. "I don't think anyone out on this beach could've done a better job. Maybe Tybalt. Or Jove. Maybe," he teased as they continued to build.

"Yeah, yeah. A challenge," West said, shaking his head as he finished up the base of the castle, at least to his satisfaction, stepping back to glare at their creation with a critical eye. It certainly wasn't the most aesthetically pleasing thing on the beach, but as far as sturdiness was concerned, he thought they surely had plenty of teams beat. Hadn't Levi talked about a fortress when he'd first gotten here? Well, their castle was well on its way to becoming one.
That didn't mean he was going to start throwing around compliments or anything, at least not personal ones.
"Looks... nice," West said instead, his pleased smirk returning. He picked up Bul's former 'stache and draped it over the top of their castle, then pressed the sand dollar into place above the happy urchin. Almost there.

Levi blinked without saying a word about it but she looked from Bul to the tiny crab and back to the half beast again. It was as if the critter had taken an automatic liking to him; imprinting? Smiling, she turned her attention back to the BOSS Castle. It was nearly there.
Staring at the space off to the side, a lightbulb went off in her head. Needs'a lookout! Grabbing the bird, the ghoul placed it off to the side, nodding with approval.

And so, after the bucketfull of water that filled the moat brought the hellhound pup to the surface. He was busy lying on his back, floating instead of drowning and at the appropriate height, dogpaddled out to the sandy shore and climbed up.
The only problem with that was that damp skin + sand equaled sandy pup.patches of his skin and clothing were covered with the grainy material and left him feeling icky, try as he might to be quiet about it. "Bul you got some weird little thing following you, think it might be alive." he quipped up, pointing to the litter bugger. "Didn't know they have mini's here." he said absent mindedly after that and proceeded to test the sand structure's base.
*poke poke*
".... seems ok."
The hellhound seal of approval.

With the castle now built and ready for viewing, the first guest to take it upon itself to explore the sand mansion lump of things together was the little hermit crab that had voluntarily joined their team.
"You're right Demi. How did I not...?" Bul asked himself scratching the fuzz of his chin. He watched the little critter happily sitting itself next to the fake bird fearlessly. "Wonder if there are any more of those... and what they taste like."

"Oh no." Demi blurted out immediately after Bul was done scratching his chin fluff in thought. "You are not eating them, its not like back home, you might get sick." He tried to reason logically to the half beast. The last thing he needed to see was Bul blowing chunks all over their sandcastle.
Above all, he was sure that once the vomit hit the structure it was all going to crumble down. "And jack help us if one of those things start glowing and s**t." he muttered quietly in afterthought. No more wrath from cricket was needed, odds are the nurse was somewhere nearby, watching.
Waiting.
For now the castle was finished and the moat looked full, the happy little spiky thing was guarding the door with the best of its ability and so was he. The pup wasted no time sitting on his haunches by the front of the castle and had his best guard hound face on.

WAVE 1: CRABS, CRABBBBBBBBBBBBS HP 30/30Scuttling right towards the team was an army of oversized crabs, their pincers waving menacingly. They were ready to destroy all things sand and castle related. CRAB DEFENSE MECHANICS: CRAB VERSUS THE CASTLEOdd = Offense Even = Defense THIS CRAB HAS 12 DEFENSE POINTS. (( First of all, don't forget to add the additional status from the Daily status effects to your sandcastle )) - This crab is trying to do 12 damage DEFENSIVE against the sandcastle. That means you have to match your OFFENSIVE damage against this crab's defense. Subtract your offense against this crab's defense points. IF your sandcastle is higher, you take no damage! If it is lower, subtract the HP value from your castle's HP. One person must RP out their sandcastle standing against the crabs or taking damage, and edit the first post sandcastle's HP as necessary (at least, though various reaction posts while battling is fine) CRAB VERSUS THE CONTESTANTS- EVEN IF YOUR CASTLE STOPS THE CRABS, you still need to delegate them away from your castle, so they do not hurt YOU. There is nothing stopping it from hurting YOU. - Roll NORMALLY (no Fear charges), 2d6 -6 if you are a Y1, 2d8 - 6 if you are a Y2 to determine your damage AGAINST THE CRABS. Year 1's have 30 HP, Y2's have 40. - The crab has a sum total of 30 HP. Every time you hit the crab, you take 5 damage. If your TEAM LEADER is KO'ed your group is disqualified! - You can hit the crab as many times as needed until it is dead. Levi was getting that woozy feeling again. Something about that dang sun of theirs beating down on her. ~Magically~ the gnome appeared at her heels again. Aye? The short figure gestured over to an open umbrella positioned over a striped towel. It had a suspiciously wide grin on its face, but the ghoul felt the need to go lay down for a bit so she overlooked that. During the period of visiting castles, the tatzel spent her time recouping under the shade of the umbrella complete with creeper gnome hiding behind his rock.
It wouldn't be till her white ears twitched to the sound of pinchers snapping that Levi arose to see....
Crabs. Big ones. Big everything, in fact.
What was once her towel was a long and wide road of stripes and the ghoul squinted to track down her team members. Looking from their castle to the incoming crab that gunned for their construct in a sideways zigzag sprint, Levi sprang back up and out into the sun by the boils as quickly as her tiny springy tail would allow.
Mother 'a Jac- AYE! THEM FELLARS DUN LOOK LIKE THEY TRYIN' FER CASTLES! It's on, boils!
COME N' GIT IT, YEW!
And it did. The crab kicked at the ghoul with one not-so-tiny crab leg, hitting her with some force into the sand. Arising, she tried to retaliate with shoulder rush to one leg. Tiny shoulders would prove not so effective.

If there was one thing West was less in the mood for than prancing around visiting other teams' sandcastles, it was getting shrunk down to the size of... something really small. He clenched his tiny fists and a barrage of tiny curses issued from his tiny mouth, but they didn't do anything other than attract the crab to him once it was done with Levi. Shaking off the pincer-stab, West kicked at one of the creature's chitinous legs. It didn't do much of anything at all except maybe awaken his desire to fight.
"KILL IT!" Battle lust activated.

Well that was a bummer. Nobody came around to see their castle. >: Bul snorted in frustration but eventually shrugged it off. Better to avoid people coming around touching it and ruining the structure. However the voice of famine seemed to strike a nervous chord in the half beast. It was foreboding and suddenly all his nerves became reasonable in nature... as they all became the size of the very hermit crabs that were following him.
"GREAT. JUST. GREAT." The monster boil hissed. He knew better than to be surprised by this... maybe he just wished that the BEACH had gotten bigger and not his body grow smaller. Smaller... smaller things. Anyway, he whipped his tail, prepared to defend what the horsemen promised with happen.
Sure enough, here came the horde. Crabs. Giant tasty looking things that would likely eat him but he wasn't gonna let that happen!
"Gotcha!" he replied to Levi's cry to battle. "TIME FOR A TASTE TEST,"
Bul came running at the crab claws armed and spines standing on end. Good thing his claws weren't too flimsy or they'd have broken on that tough shell. "GAH! OW!" he cried out. "s**t this thing is likea ******** walking boulder!"
HP: 35/40

Rubbing her shoulder, Levi watched West and Bul get in some good hits on the critter. The tatzel would show it something to reckon with now alright. With two of her best competitors landing worthy hits, Levi gave it her best shot. Cackling at Bul's comment about them getting a taste, Levi's tail grounded and she bounced up onto one of the joints of the crab's legs. We're eatin' giant crab 'tonight!With a good firm whip of her tail, a -crack- was heard. The crab made something like a gurgling sound before its injured leg crippled and curled in towards its stomach and out of use. Angry with the unwanted company, the giant crustacean batted a hit at Levi just as she was jumping away to avoid, ironically, a hit. The sand hurt a lot more when you were small.

West tried to dodge as their giant foe began to flail in crabby agony, but he wasn't quick enough to avoid a claw smack to the side of the head. He reeled back, landing a weak punch to the offending claw then backing up a bit more.
He had done enough damage. Yeah, he was going to stay right here. The demon spared a glance at Levi, something like concern flitting across his face as he crossed his arms. She wasn't dissipating, but she wasn't getting up either.

"Think you could break it's legs just a LITTLE harder?" Bul chortled a laugh as he dashed through the sand on all fours. He wasn't even sure if his natural form would work here but there was something so nice about being this thin and light rushing through the sand.
"Keep it up this one's gonna be an easy-" Bul was cut off by a leg smacking him in the face. "Gwarrr-" he winced and stumbled through the sand.
"Man if we eat this s**t it'll be the most painful snack I've ever had... wait..." The red-head rolled his eyes to himself before finding a good tender spot between the armored legs to sink his clawed toes into. Man that HAD to sting!

"Look at the size of that thing!" Demi said agape , staring blatantly at the giant crab that tried to step on him. He didn't get why Bul and Levi had to try and eat JACKING EVERYTHING. The crab, in which he was sure it was called Kingler, decided to fight back some more.
Stupid Kingler decided to use bubblebeam on Houndoom Damien.
It was supereffective, and very bubbly.

"AUGHFFRAUUYILLJFKLJGYL" D8 There was nothing like the feeling of drowning in a stream of bubbles, bubbles that wanted to try and make him even more soggy than before. "I was just getting dry jackdammit, and stay away from our castle!" the pup yapped up at the freakishly tall creature.
It should have been one of the monsters in their dorms not an enemy.
And kingler only responded back with another stream of bubblebeam.
Damien's trainer really sucked at his job.
