Tomoko was a pale little beast, so to be out in the sun was probably not the safest option for her. But there were umbrellas littered about and it overall seemed like it would be a good time to watch. Maybe they could make their own little sand castle off in the shade or something. There were options, and Tomoko looked at the entire set out beyond their 'spectator' area, making a point to wave frantically at Junko's group in hopes the Futakuchi-onna would see her, but also to wave at Jove.
She was there to support Junko-chan and Jove-kun and to spend some time with Jack. It was a flawless plan!
When the boil told her she got to pick where they sat, she took a look over the beach to see what areas were still open, her arm slipped around Jack's as she walked across the sands towards a free spot in the shade, her ball of stars tucked into the crook of her arm as she practically hopped across the sand.
It was warm and her feet could feel it even through her sandals. Hot hot hot! In the shade it was less unbearably warm, but she still seemed to sigh a bit.
"I wonder if they have any sunblock that I could use, I don't want to burn up." she said, looking out at the sun nervously, then up at Jack.

Sweet Jack, this girl had good scrit-scrit abilities. If a reptilian could purr, Lafayette was definitely doing their version of one. Every few seconds or so he'd adjust himself so that the lycan's hand found the next "sweet spot", and he'd give a pleasured sigh before finding the next. Cameron needed to make friends with this ghoul, aaaahhhhhh~
And then the scratching stopped and he felt a weird pressure go over him and AAHHH OH JACK HE WAS GONNA GET SMUSHED AAAAH -
The gator, with surprising dexterity, slid between Mitsu and Shun's legs, yelping as the other boil tripped over his tail. He curled up between them, pitiful tears welling in his eyes.
Cameron, in the meanwhile, barked a laugh, passing a hand behind her ear to catch a stray hair. "Enjoying the view, hmm?" she posed to the sand-buried vampire, brow quirked as she grinned. The bokor turned to the couple next. "Don't mind my boo there, he's a bit of an attention seeker. Ether of them bothering you?" The dark-haired boil certainly looked tense, out of place on this sunny day.

The little gator was forgotten as Shun stared hard at the vampire. He had seen his face before... It took him a moment or so, but he soon realized this was one of the douchebags on groanspring. How lovely. He was just as charming in the flesh too it seemed. The Reaper couldn't help but twitch a bit at height comment. Short? Really? The guy made it sound like he was a midget or something along those lines. Granted, he wasn't as tall as some of the other boys, but he wasn't tiny either by any means. How obnoxious. "And I could use you as a blade sharpener," he hissed back, "What's with the s**t on your face? Can't handle a little sun?"Normally he might have been silent and brushed off the guy, but he was already in a bad moon to begin with today. At least the b*****d ended up taking a face full of sand as he tripped over the gator. "Are you alright?" he asked the familiar. He could care less about the vampire. Glancing from the gator to who he assumed to be its owner, as she asked how they were doing. "The gator is fine," he replied calmly. The little guy wasn't bothering him in the slightest really. Then again, he usually had a greater tolerance for creatures than actual people.

Sura had said she would watch, so watch she would. The sand and the sun did not bother her. Her body could handle such extremes, and so it would be out in the open would be fine. She would not burn and though they were not allowed their natural forms, her shadow probably would have been used as shade for some other creature.
She was steadfast.
The colossus would probably stand there all day.

For the love of Jack. Was it sunny, or was it jackdamn sunny? A growl rumbled in her throat as soon as someone pushed her through the portal and the bright light blinded her eyes. Dev raised her arms to shield her face from the sun and she tentatively stepped across the beach. She cracked open one eye and stared at the sand. Sand? Her home didn’t have sand. The curious ghoul knelt down to scoop up a small handful of it, letting the tiny grains slip through her fingers. Her tail happily wagged as she scooped another handful of sand. It was often cold back home, but occasionally it wasn’t so dark. Plus the heat wasn’t too bad. Dev welcomed it, even.
Her ears twitched at the announcer’s voice. Perhaps it was time to find a seat and observe the competition. Dev crinkled at the thought of building a sandcastle. She couldn’t quite understand the merit in building castles out of sand, but very well. The ghoul stood up and walked over to the crowd of umbrellas. Green eyes observed the other spectators as she weaved through. A lazing boil in particular happened to catch her attention. Head cocked to the side, she stood by Sparrow as she took in the peculiar design of his sunglasses. “Awesome specs. Whaur did ye get them?”

Amphi trickled in slowly, letting the sand sift through her bare feet before smiling. It had been a long time since coming to a sandy beach like this and just...she could smell the ocean air. Oh how the waters called to her mermaid form. To swim in the warm saltiness of the sea, she wished she could.
Instead, she shielded her hands over her eye's, her hair pulled into a loose ponytail that reached the mid section of her bare back. Her sister's of course sent her a gift with the upcoming summer weather, what the landwalkers called a bikini? It was comfortable and tight enough that it didn't seem like it would fall off after all. Electric blue in color, it matched the looser board like shorts of the same color with white lining. Her star pendant hung over her neck as she cocked her other hand on her hip.
She was looking for someone in particular actually, though she wasn't sure if he'd be around any time soon. She wanted to badly see the snake she had grown so fond off after all and thought that the Familiar might like the hot beach weather as well. Pulling out her phone, she sent a couple of quick texts before setting up a seat under the blue umbrella. Boldly, she texted Thana before thinking again....Her two closest friends were competing as well and she hoped they did very well.Dragain Text to Thanatos: Would you like to sit with me? I am under the blue umbrella in the set up for spectators? (: Text to Lizzy: Good luck my friend! I'll be watching from the Spectators set up! I'll cheer for you and Xiu! Kaiyumi Text to Xiu: good luck Xiu! I'll be cheering you and Lizzy on from the spectator seats! Be safe!

The comments Lou seemed to have for Shun only had Mitsu making a face, her cheeks puffing out much like a certain baku's. She wasn't very pleased when people pestered her reaper and took a personal offense to it. Mitsu was amused with the face the little gator was making, her smile growing wide as she put her full focus on the creature instead of the vampire. " You are so cute~" She had just started to scratch under the creature's chin when the looming shadow over them started to grow bigger. The little alligator darted to safety but not before the vampire had managed to trip landing in the sand at her feet. " O...oh my..." Drawing her legs up to herself, Mitsu was mindful of the little gator patting him reassuringly. " Are you okay?" Poor little guy. At another new arrival Mitsu turned to the female reaper, shaking her head at her question. " Oh he's not bothering anyone. I like him he's cute." She cooed, scratching the top of his head. His skin seemed a bit tougher...it made her wonder if something like the little mini would be able to contend with Ziggy and her claws.

Feeling the weight of Tomoko's arm on his own, he followed her faithfully to where ever suited her fancy best. His rolled up pants had already starting to pile in the sands as he kicked it up in his clumsy ways - his feet not used to waddling through the grainulars and tail flailing left and right, trying to keep his balance as he failed at trying to follow the little fox as she wandered, quipping here and there as she found things that were familiar to her - Jack himself had the same eyebrows raised, uncertain look - everything was still a little new to everything again.
Clearing his throat after her mention of the sunblock, he tapped his bag with his fingers, before looking down to her. "Well, I figured we could use that, and some other things in case we weren't going to have refreshments - but it looks like I was beaten to the punch . . ." he murmured, looking at the stands, before looking back at her. "Maybe we should find a spare umbrella, something . . . bright and maybe green?" He offered, pointing to the small group of spare options available - and admittedly slipping in the idea of sitting under his favourite colour . . . at least.
"Seems pretty packed, I wasn't expecting this much . . to be honest." He finished, looking around at all the . . . people around. Part of it made elated him - that was the entertainer in him, wondering how he could make silver or seeds off this group, his hands itching for his sitar, his allies in arms, to sing at the top of his lungs for his next day's meal - the other was in agony, all this family around, making him feel slightly alienated about the whole thing . . .

Lafayette, who had softly whined before being prompted, nodded once up at Shun before leaning into Mitsu some more - nothing fixed a tail-trip like scrit-scrits.
"Yeah? Keep him den," Cameron replied airily. "I like my shoes whole and not chewed upon. Gone through more pairs than an alcoholic goes through drinks in a day."
The gator shot her a look that read You're so hurtful. ;A;. This was quickly replaced by his usual goofy grin as he tried to snake his way into the lycan's lap. IT WAS TIME TO CONQUER PRIME SUNBATHING SPOTS.
"Also not very loyal, dat one." She chuckled, then put daintily put several fingers to notch in her collar bone. "Cameron Maveaux," she introduced. "And my boo Lafayette you've already met. Must say folks don't normally know difference 'tween a gator and a croc." She made a finger gun and winked at Shun. "Points t'you. You two got friends in the trial?"

A single text went out from one Sparrow Heartreed - Lilpuffs TEXT TO WREN:
Missing you. <3
- before he snapped the phone shut and stuck it back into his pocket. In his attempt at not getting sand down his trousers, Sparrow almost missed the very obvious fact that someone was indeed talking to him. Tilting his head up, he squinted against the bright rays of the sun - thankfully made somewhat less obtrusive by the shadowy sunglasses perched on the end of his nose - to find a ghoul with long, sweeping emerald hair standing in front of him, peering curiously down at him.
"Ah, thank you," said Sparrow, with a smile, and pulled the sunglasses from his face, examining them carefully. "I do think they're rather a bit too big, but they'll work for now. And I, er...made them myself."
Realizing it was rather rude of him to keep on sitting, Sparrow pushed himself to his feet, brushing sand off of his trousers in the process. He held out a hand - for once, without his normal trademark gloves - and smiled.
"I'm sorry, I don't think we've met. My name is Sparrow Heartreed. You are...?"

The only sign that Lou might've been upset was a soft sigh muffled by the ground, his face slowly lifting up to see the ghoul standing directly in front of him... After he wiped the sand from his face. "Oh baby, do I ever." He didn't know WHAT he tripped over, but it had been a blessing whatever it was. "It is quite a view down here, if you catch my 'driff... t'." As in midriff. As in LOU LOVED PUNS, oh sweet mother of Jack.
The comments from the reaper? One ear and out the other. He was FOCUSED. With a smirk, Mr. Ferre removed his sand-covered glasses as he sat up, tucking the umbrella between his legs while he wiped off the lenses with his old-looking wife beater. "Why don't you come join me? We can make this sand hotter than it's ever been." Was he going there? Yeah, he was going there. Oh, and don't forget the signature wink.

Lumikki found herself walking around the in the spectator area wondering what exactly was going on around her. She found a nice quiet area that didn't seem too terribly crowded just yet with large green umbrellas. "AH!" she squealed happily, "This will do just great..." setting her messenger bag down she flopped under the umbrella as she pulled her sunglasses down to watch the other students passing by her.

The familiar certainly seemed to be enjoying himself right now. It was rather amusing really. After watching Lafayette for a few moments, Shun looked back to the reaper who just introduced herself. She certainly seemed more tolerable than the vampire, so he relaxed in the meantime. "Shun Kuroda," he said quietly in return. "Some friends. Some enemies," he replied while glancing over at the teams that were getting to work now. A bitter sensation rose up within him once more at the thought. While he couldn't particularly imagine himself building a sandcastle of all things, he still felt that he could have been out there. It frustrated him. As for the vampire, he shot him a look before shaking his head slowly. There was an urge to just kick some sand at him.

"This demon lady looks a bit confused with all that crowd", Shenny thought. "Perhaps, she is a newcomer like me? Well, I can't be particularly sure, if she would be a nice company, but anyway, I need company, otherwise I will look stupid, and wouldn't be able to attract anyone's attention". So, Shenny made her way right to the place. "Hello! Is a place near you vacant? Crowds is the only thing I hate when it comes to such events," she said as politely as she could.
