That had felt good to finally get a good hit it and she thought it would be a good idea to once more try to hit with her chain since Before had left himself wide open for another attack. Swinging the chain around to get a good momentive and then she let it fly and once again she missed hitting him. Hunter and weapon hissed at the miss as Tori was total bad with the chain part of her weapon.

Before just frowned 8C Tori wasn't doing as well as either of them hoped. I'm going to regret this, I just know it but... Vanna began with a reluctant sigh. A mental nudge from his partner had the runes on the wheel's surface glow brilliant. But as this was the first time Before was going to try using Vanna's charge for someone else's benefit, his aim needed work. s**t. Well maybe we can psyche her into thinking it worked? He proposed to the devil shield.
"Don't give up, Story! Try it again!"

Tori was a little confused to what Before was doing when the runes on his partner started to glow and nothing really happened. What was that Lin? he answered her as she took a better grip on the sword hilt.
"Alright, I will try again," she said as she took another swiped him with her sword.

Wincing through the pain, Before continued to half-encourage and half-taunt Tori. He rested Vanna on his shoulder as he lightly bounced on his heels, "Bet you can't do that again!"

Not really know what Before had in mind when he didn't attack her and rested his partner on his shoulder. But hearing him she growled slightly and Aklin was growling too as he wanted to be released to hit all the things. As the main gem on the sword started to glow as a thick water coated the blade and she total miss hitting Before.

"Awww, don't feel too bad Story! After kept missing me when he uses his Charge attack and I was standing stock-still too!" Before encouraged her, comfortingly patting the woman on the shoulder. He lightly jogged a few paces backwards, "C'mon, let's take it seriously k?" 83 And with that, he came charging at Tori with a swing of his wheel.

Frustrated that she missed and Aklin soothed his hunter a little that she could do it. Tori sighted and she knew that her best friend was trying to help her out as he patted her on the shoulder. "I'm trying," she growled some as this just put the icing on the cake that she was bad at fighting and in her thoughts she got a smack down from before with his partner to which she fell on her butt and a clank of her weapons chain. All she did was get up off the ground and glared at Before.

"Uh, this is prolly the part where you get sage advice and stuff from me but, um, I just sorta rely on dumb luck for most of my spars." Before apologized. "But hey, we can always have a rematch! Not like losing to me means we never get to spar again~" It wasn't much but Before hoped it would help her. And with that, he gave her a hard slap on her back as an incentive to smack him back.

Tori just smiled a little as that was nice of him and she didn't even have dumb luck as she just was bad. Well after this more practicing to were she might get better. "Well that is ok, I just nee more practice or something," she answered as he was being helpful to her. "That is true and maybe by then I will get better," Tori agreed but she still felt frustrated and she wanted to prove that she wasn't useless. Sighing as she was going to give flinging the chain once more and twirling it around and let it loose and she hit her mark.

The chain indeed hit their mark. "OH s**t MY EYE!" Before wailed, stumbling back as the spikes on Vanna's wheel grazed Tori from his flailing.

O-o Tori total didn't mean to hit her best friend in the eye and felt bad about it and so she didn't mind being grazed as she did deserve that. But as he was flailing around she had grazed him with the tip of her sword as she had been trying to back up and give him more room.

But it was a good enough excuse to explain why, when Vanna's runes began to glow, did Tori's FEAR shield begin to hum. She'd find that her hold and heft on Aklin would be easier and much more manageable.

It hurt. The strike hurt a lot more than Tori was initially dishing out. Despite the pain and the knowledge that he was going to be so ******** sore later, he was grinning. "Now that's more like it, Story! Let's go!" he planted himself firmly in place, holding Vanna like a shield in anticipation.
