Symbols and bugs- "Well on the bright side maybe this means less infestations." Still, the place sucked and he would rather just wrap it up and go. "Still, how the ******** they get non native bugs kind of weirds me out. This is a puzzle." Nodding at Bix he looked at the signs again. "I ******** suck at puzzles." Another gust of air and he coughed, gagging, holding up his scarf. "Augh, this place- I keep getting sand and just- augh this place is nasty. Do they have an open sewer around here or something?"

Cass crinkled her nose.
"There's something rotting around here, that's for sure." she agreed, moving over to join the boys, but stopping in her tracks as she did, her hands moving to grab the weapon she had around her waist, face growing deathly serious all of a sudden.
"Bix. Marcus." She nodded towards the distance and the first sign of 'life' she'd seen since they'd gotten there. A figure, wearing tattered clothing seemed to just be standing there, almost giving a sense of staring at them. Ominous. Looming. Kind of. It was cradling something in its arms.
Something rotting.
She could smell it from there, and she knew immediately that they'd found what they were looking for.

"s**t. That's it." Bix immediately summoned Mina and was amazed at how deserted the place had gotten. At least when they'd arrived they'd gotten some weird looks from pedestrians but he'd barely noticed that the longer they stayed, the less people they saw. It was like a ghost town. "Don't know what that is but I think it's aggressive." It was coming towards them and it was clutching something disgusting in it's arms. "Alright guys. Three vs. One. We got this. Right?" The question was a little more unsure than it should have been. "I have your back." He nodded to Marcus, the only one of the three who would be required to actually go NEAR the rotting figure. The sentiment was echoed to Cass though, of course. Bix took a few steps back and let loose a volley of arrows at the figure. The stuck into it like glowing needles before fading away. The figure shifted and loosed some sort of rotting wave. Bix couldn't be sure what the attack was but he felt himself bowled over with a wave of nausea. HP: 42 Boss HP: 67 Damage: 8 Charge: 1 / 3

Marcus got a look at it, and made a gagging noise again, even behind his scarf. "Lovely." Dis summoned, the scimitar hissed in his head, saying something about the FEAR. It was half heard, as Marcus was busy looking at the thing that decided it wanted to fight. The scent of rotting flesh was in the air, and it sure as all hell didn't make anything easier. "Three intermediate trainees. We better have this or we're just plain ********." Nodding at Bix, Marcus made sure the scarf was in placed before running at the thing. The blade connected, but the result was a wave of sand and stench. HP: 42 Damage: 5 Boss HP: 62

"What is even the -" when the figure suddenly let loose a wave of rotting stench, Cass doubled over, hacking and wheezing, blood sputtering out of her mouth - a response that nearly shocked her as well. Wrapping her scarf around her face, her eyes watering, she shot off at the creature, but her ability to aim?
It was thrown off by her wondering if the damn thing had just tried to rot her insides.Cass's HP: 42/50 Damage: 1 Charge:1/3, 0/2 Boss: 61

Bix did his best to pull his scarf tighter on his face. He was actually physically wretching, starting to ache his muscles from the repeated action. "Got him.." Bix paused a moment, taking a breath and holding it to let loose another volley. The figure paused in it's attack, shuddering a bit under the repeated punctures. HP: 34 Boss HP: 51 Damage: 10 Charge: 2 / 3

The scarf was helping, but as close as he was, it didn't help that rotting flesh was right next to him, it also didn't help that it was holding a rotting human limb. Bix was landing good hits on it, and sadly, the most Marcus managed was a small slash across the creature's midsection. HP: 34 Boss HP: 48 Damage: 3

She coughed more, blood staining the scarf around her face as she moved in on the figure and swung Nicodemus. It moved away in time to miss a heavy blow, but forced Cass back, the girl hitting the ground and rolling, coming up half covered in dead plaguebugs and gravel.
I'm working on fixing the coughing.

Bix was actually landing solid shots until the bugs started to swarm around his legs. He stepped on something slick and his shot went off, barely hitting the figure. He actually was taken down, landing hard on his back. The albino hunter had to shrug bugs, hopping to his feet as fast as he could but he could feel them sapping at his FEAR shield. I'm reaaaadyyyy... Mina purred. His bow was pulsing with light as it fully charged. HP: 26 Boss's HP: 42 Damage: 3 Charge: 3/3

Dis was hissing, saying how 'this b***h was looking for a fight' and 'he needs a serious make over, preferably with a sword in his gut.' When Marcus asked how Dis knew the Gender the weapon's only reply was that only a guy could be that dumb. Which was, horribly stereotypical, even for Dis. Swallowing bile back, he called out to Cass and Bix. "You guys holding up?" He didn't have much time as he felt something blast at him, sending him back. Not before he'd managed to give Dis a good 'bite'. HP: 26 Boss HP: 34 Damage: 8

Another blast from the creature sent Cass reeling back, small slices that began to hiss forming in her FEAR shield before Nicodemus repaired it. However, Cass was beginning to breathe easier and moved in on the creature to give it a good taste of her blade, plunging it deep into the creature as well as pressing the end of the gun to its torso.
BANG
She pulled back with both hands then stepped further back to avoid attack.
"I'm holding up, Marcus! This thing is starting to wear down!"
We're wearing down too, Cassandra.

"Back up guys!" Bix set his bow towards the sky, the obvious prelude to his FEAR attack. After his team mates had taken a few steps back he let loose with the arrow. Mina sighed in his mind. The arrows shot down around the creature like red rain but when Bix looked again the thing somehow moved several feet to the side. "What? How did I miss?" He yelled, pretty angry. He hadn't even seen it move! Another blast from the creature set him into violent gagging. HP: 18 Boss's HP: 24 Damage: MISS Charge: 0 / 3

Backing off as Bix aimed his shot, Marcus groaned as it missed. The arrows had done some nice damage to the ground though, if anything Marcus was just glad he didn't get hit. "You missed because it's an annoying ******** that's why." Dis was begging to try his own luck, but Marcus was having a hell of a time just getting close to the thing. Rolling to avoid another blast, Marcus shoved his blade into the creature's back and for a second it stopped moving. However, as soon as Marcus got his hopes up, he was flung back skidding along the pavement. HP: 18 Damage: 18 Boss HP: 6

I am ready.
Cass moved in immediately after Marcus, Nicodemus's blade beginning to glow with the hidden runes on his blade. It was a motion she had gone through several times previously. The stance, the hold on the blade, the thrust into the creature's body.
All light from the runes flooded into it, cracks of light going up through the creature before it dissipated around Cass's ********>, I hit it too hard." They'd been told to not dissipate the creatures before, and she kept just...making them explode all over. Still, she panted, stepping back and unwrapping the scarf from her face.
"We need to file a report on this thing ASAP."HP: 18/50 Damage: 18 Boss HP: -12
