Her sigh caused him to sigh as well, shaking his head as if to clear off some haze. If he only knew that, it would be easier...
"...Over there." He finally said. Perhaps, in some twisted way, he felt exactly like Illisia had - that his actions here would ultimately be futile, and that at the pantheon, with the gods... Then they might amount to something more.
"But yet I would not rip you away from everything that you know. Once you know that world, once you've seen it... It... It's hard to go back." Was he not proof of this, even now ? "The gods need the mortals as much as the mortals need the gods..."
"...But yet I wouldn't want you to stay here, alone. It seems that no matter what I do, nothing works out in the way that it should." He gritted his teeth, frustrated.

"If it is your decision to go then I will go with you. There is nothing keeping me here; I have no husband or children of my own to tie me to this place." As for her friends, she had seen less and less of them over the years. Most had their own families to tend to or were sticking it out in wherever happened to be the latest Alliance military campaign. All she had was Elik, Typala and the kittens.
She smiled. "Poor boy, inherited the best of both parents honor and stubbornness. What am I going to do with you?"

Well, he had to admit... It would be comforting if she was there, with him. She was the last bit of family he had left, the last blood relation he truly had.
"I am clearly a lost cause." He sighed, and even if he had meant it to be a joke, it was clear that he believed that on at least some level.

"Don't worry, Elik, not all lost causes are truly hopeless." She chuckled a little and gave him another hug.
"Do you think I would be able to bring Typala with me, since Adi seems so intent on kidnapping the little ones?" It was a serious question despite how it was asked. She would hate to have to leave the wintersaber behind; the two had been together since the big cat was a little older than the kittens.

"Hm..." Yeah, well, he doubted they could just strap a giant cat on Caoin's back and have it not end in disaster. "Not the way we're going, but there are others." Illisia and Glyph hadn't come through an errais, but through some sort of door... And their servants apparently knew how. Even the dragon's servants were pretty nice... Lindita would not get a warm welcome, but Aysu would nearly blend in.
"There's a way to travel the worlds through doors, im sure someone else will be willing to take you back to bring Typala and the kittens..."

Not right away it seemed, but at least it was possible. That was a relief. "I'm glad for that at least." It would be a little piece of home in an unfamiliar place.

"I'll need to ask how, through, but Glyph should know." He had done it, after all, and hopefully would be willing to help out.
"Do you have someone to care for her in the meanwhile ?" That would be important - he had no idea how long that kind of travel did take.

"I would be grateful for his help." She paused, going over a list of local and trustworthy friends. "I will ask Mandric if he comes into the city before we leave. If not, Myra would likely be willing."

Elik simply nodded and visibly remembered that he had been washing dishes, because he went right back to that, now that Whisteria looked like she felt better.
"We planned to stay for about two weeks... Will that be enough for you ?" His aunt looked like her mind was made up, after all.

"Should be more than enough, most of my life is easily packed up and moved." When Elik went back to taking care of the dishes she turned back to her herb basket.
