Well…Mot did have his eyes open for a good portion of it…right? That was good? Maybe he’d appreciate it more after his feet were on the ground and he reflected on it! Hel clung to that happy thought as she made a downed face as his terrified yell. She nuzzled his cheek once more, and squeezed him tightly for a few more seconds before her wings snapped open. There’d be a bit of a jerk as her wings caught the air, and they slowed down considerably. They were also flipped into an upright position once more.

Now, Hel’s wings acted much like a hang glider and parachute combo. They started to drift at a much calmer pace back down to the ground, and could see the roof tiles of the reaper dorm’s once more. Just a few moments more, and Mot would feel his boots touch the sweet grass of one of the fields next to the dorm. It was a rather smooth and gentle landing, actually. Hel released him once he was on the ground, and dropped next to him, landing a little heavier. She then turned on him, watching his face anxiously.

The sudden jerk made Mot yelp in surprise, still not opening his eyes even as they slowed their fall. The feeling of his boots on solid grouch was a relief, albeit a brief one. Mot stumbled at first, not able to keep his balance right away. After a silent moment or two, Mot's feelings boiled all at once.

He'd been so terrified. So angry. Inside, he felt like trembling and whimpering.

Outside? Mot looked like this; his hair tousled and out of place from the high winds. His eyes stared down at Hel, burning with something.. anger?

He looked kind of mad.

Hel waited to see what Mot would say, if anything. Her expression was still rather anxious as she peered up at the cowboil. The ghoul froze however, as Mot peered down at her. She was not use to being on the receiving end of this look from him…much less seeing it on his face.

Her expression went from anxious to worried now. Was Hel Brynhildr concerned about her well being at the moment? Oh hel yeah, she was. She probably shouldn’t have said anything…but the silence was killing her. “…S…see, Mot?” Her tone was uh…lacking that usual confidence…much like a child who was preemptively sucking up to lessen the blow they were about to receive. “…Everything is fine…”

Was he shaking because he was mad, or because he'd been terrified not too long ago? Hel would be left to judge.

"Fine? Yes. Everything is just peachy." Mot muttered darkly with a tremble in his voice. He could barely stay calm, his knuckles white as his fists clenched tightly at his sides.

That look she was giving him, he couldn't understand it. She seemed like she'd been expecting something from him. And then she seemed almost scared. If in his right mind, he'd melt. She was always so cute, but they way her eye widened so large, her hair disheveled and strewn out from her up-do had her looking so lovely.
However, Mot was mad.

"Why... would you think.. that was a good idea?" Mot asked through gritted teeth. "Were you trying to punish me? Is that it?"

Now…Hel would never admit that she felt scared…but right now…right now, yes. She was. Sure, she made Mot upset before, like in the Haunted House…but…this seemed to be the worse right now. The ghoul flinched a bit, and shifted her weight from foot to foot.

She swallowed, her mouth suddenly feeling dry. “…Because…I…thought it would be nice to show you something…you never had the chance to before…?” She rapidly shook her head at his next question. “N-no! That was not why at all!” Sure she had been feeling devious beforehand, but it wasn’t to be malicious against him. It was just suppose to be in good fun, and to share something she thought would be unique with him.

"Could you not have waited for me to be in a better mood?" Mot asked, trying not to let his temper get away from him. "You tried my patience online, through texts. You must have known I was upset." Then again, maybe Hel was a lot more dense than he thought. He sighed heavily, rubbing the bridge of his nose with his thumb and forefinger.

Two halves of himself now fought against each other; he felt badly for being cross yet couldn't hake away his anger. Somewhere he knew she meant no harm. Still..

"A warning. Asking me. Anything." Mot breathed in shakily, still looking down at Hel's scared face. "Any way to ease me up there would have been fine, if I were in a better mood." The reaper turned away. He couldn't do this now. He was a few words away from screaming at his ghoul. From losing his cool. Letting his fear get the better of him.

"I need to be alone right now."

Uh…no…she didn’t know he was that upset, actually. It was hard to exactly gauge how someone was feeling over the interwebs or text. It was rather obvious that Hel was mis-judged completely, and now she was paying the consequences for it. “…I did not know you were…that…upset…” She murmured.

I…did not think…you were that…uh…anxious over heights, either…” She glanced off to the side, before frowning deeply. She didn’t think a lot of things through, apparently. No…no she didn’t want him to go away right now either, and seeing his back made her heart clench with worry. “Mot…” She called out, reaching out, her fingers brushing one of his elbows.

Mot felt her fingers brush his elbow, and it caused his nerves to fly. He jerked his arm away, turning back to Hel with a look that said his temper had been lost.

"Oh of course! You NEVER think, DO YOU?" He snapped at Hel, raising his voice at the Valkyrie. "It's all about instinct! It's never about how I feel, right?! It's all about you!" The rational part of Mot pleaded with himself to stop before he said too much, but his emotions ran haywire.

"If you don't get your way, you just guilt trip and bully others to do what you want! You know what you are? You're a child, Hel!"

Oh…

Oh this was not good at all.

At every flinch, every statement, Hel seemed to shrink more and more, and her eyes grew wide, and honestly, she felt sick now. She made him really, really upset, and it scared her and worried her. Anyone else she’d be hostile against, but this wasn’t anyone. This was Mot. Someone she cared deeply for and who she was letting in close. He had an effect on her like no one else did, and this was a prime example of such.

“…Th…that is not true….” She whispered. Goodness…she was speaking so soft. The ghoul cleared her throat. “It is not…all about me.” At least…she didn’t try to do that intentionally…did she? “I care about what you feel…” She really did it just got overlooked in favor of what she thought would be best for him…Oh dear. The reaper flinched again. A child. Is that what Mot really thought of her? Hel wanted to protest something…she wanted to say something…but nothing came to mind as she just stared up at him.

Suddenly Hel seemed so meek. It was not like her usual self. He hadn't really expected anything. He was reacting, not thinking. He was upset. The reaper's brows furrowed further, breathing heavily as fear, anger and other unpleasant things swelled up inside.

"If you care so much then leave me be." Mot snapped again, turning and stomping off inside the dormitory.

Hel was quite torn. Leave him be as requested, because that was what he wanted, or chase after him because that was what she wanted. It didn’t…feel right just leaving him alone. How long would she have to leave him alone for? Could she fix it now?

The ghoul hesitated for a few moments, until Mot stomped off, and she stared after him for a few moments before she followed after him. Probably not a smart move…but Hel was never really a thinker. “Mot!” She called out, her short legs working harder to catch up with his longer ones. She didn’t like seeing his back. “W-wait…!”
PostPosted: Fri Mar 02, 2012 9:11 pm

Of course she was following him. Mot had many choice words that would have been kept to himself if he wasn't already angry.

"Are you deaf? Or maybe you really don't listen! I said LEAVE. ME. ALONE." He yelled harshly at her, not even making any motion to look back, keeping a quick pace that his long legs allowed him to do easily.
He went up the stairs, two at a time until he reached the third floor.

The words were almost enough to make Hel stop dead in her tracks. Almost. She was stubborn clinging onto the idea that maybe she could right this if she hung in there. She never wanted to fix something so badly before. Oh dear. Those long legs were a curse, really. Mot was working his way up the stairs like they were nothing.

Hel leapt onto the banister and kicked off of it, using her wings to project her up quicker, but she got slowed down trying to squeeze between railings. Still, this was quicker than trying to run up them. Hel landed on the third floor landing, and tore around the corner after Mot. “I do not want to leave you alone!” She called out after him.
PostPosted: Fri Mar 02, 2012 9:25 pm

"OF COURSE YOU DON'T!" Mot yelled, stopping in front of his door. "You want it YOUR way, right!? You don't care if I'm mad, upset, scared! You just want everything to go your damn way!" The reaper turn on his heel, glaring down at the Valkyrie.

He hated being mad, but he was too upset to try and reason, calm down or listen to her pleas.

"LEAVE ME ALONE! DON'T TALK TO ME!"

Hel skidded to a stop, and nearly started to back peddle.

It is because you are mad, upset and scared I do not want to leave you alone!” She tried to protest…but the words, they were failing her really hard. She stiffened. Leave him alone. Don’t talk to him. She just couldn’t…

“…I am sorry…”
