"You can't see out. They can't see in." Nuru suggested as he made an attempt to drag Zar out into the demon dorms hallway and then outside and towards the gates if he got away with it. Any stares from other students along the way was quickly met by his index finger being placed against his lips in a gesture of "shhh". No sound was made, but they still all got the hint.

Zar gave in to the bizzare logic of Nuru's words, just obediently following along behind him careful not to trip up, glad no one could properly recognise him like this in any event, able to deny completely later the sort of thing the other boil could talk him into. He just held onto his hand for dear life, saying nothing in case anyone recognised his voice, at least until he had a good idea they were well beyond the gates.
"Are we out yet?" He hissed when he dared.

And then they passed the gates which creaked and clattered shut behind them.
"We are now." Nuru smiled as he replied. He was very hopeful this would at least ease Zar a bit. The town in front of them. Many things to do and almost none of them involved paper beyond receipts.

Zar took the blanket off his head for the time being, wearing it around his shoulders like a cape. An acceptable alternative in his opinion, smoothing out his messy hair to give the ghost boil a disgruntled look, though he wasn't angry, not at all, glad to finally be out of the school.
"If you see anyone in a suit, tell me so I can put this thing back over my head. I don't want to end up being caught by Alva. Deal?"

"Deal." He smiled and then looked ahead at all the activities that laid before them.
"Dinner and a movie?" He raised his brows at Zar, his smile broadening.

Zar raised a brow. "Well. I suppose we could. Couldn't hurt right?" He was willing to be fairly passive, really not sure what to do for fun even outside the school, his stuffiness as always an obstacle.

That was all Nuru needed to hear, he grabbed Zar's hand again and proceeded to charge down the street in search of the nearest thing that looked like it served food.
Finding a Boogah King he dragged Zar inside and in line to order.
"Oooh..." Nuru cooed at the glowing menu ahead.
"Ah think Ahm getting a Cheese Boogah, you?" He looked at Zar expectantly.

Zar was dragged along resignedly, hooves skipping to keep up, looking around with uncertainty as they entered the Boogah King, not used to eating all that often let alone going into eateries or anything in that vein. "Erm. Well. I'll have whatever you are having."
Surely the boil didn't eat anything /too/ disgusting.

Then it was their turn and Nuru ordered.
"Two Cheese Boogahs, two small drinks and a large chocolate shake please." He then patted himself down for money to pay and forked over almost all he had. Quietly hoping Zar didn't notice how empty his wallet was left as he quickly re-pocketed it and then offered Zar one of the empty cups they gave them and pointed at the humming drink machine nearby.
"You get to have whatever drink you like." He smiled.

Zar's natural instincts though were primarily tuned towards hunting out weakness, and in his case particularly weakness of the financial sort. So he couldn't really avoid spying out the empty wallet, frowning subtly to himself but saying nothing for the time being reguarding it, instead taking his drink and choosing one whos name didn't sound too unpleasant, following the thankfully idiotproof instructions to fill up his cup.
And then he hung back to wait to see where Nuru opted to go. "Where shall we sit?"

After filling his own cup and grabbing four straws, Nuru wandered over to grab their tray of food and milkshake. After which he stood slightly straighter at the question. Spotting a nice quiet booth in the corner and pointing.
"There." He smiled. Completely oblivious to Zar... uh.. noticing his financial disarray.
He led them over to the table and sat down their tray. Before gesturing for Zar to sit first. His best attempt at manners.

Zar sat down with his usual fussy daintiness, rearranging himself till he was comfortable and wasn't sitting on his jacket, tail, wings or any combination of the three. "I don't think I've eaten in...a while." He offered. "The days sort of..blurred into one another."
As soon as Nuru was seated, Zar took his burger from the tray and eyed it. "Doesn't mean I'm not hungry though."

Nuru glowed at the last remark as he picked up his own cheese boogah from the tray. Double checking it's contents were all present before taking a big bite of it. Watching for Zar to take his own bite as he chewed. Curious to see if he liked it too.

Zar took a bite of it lazily as soon as Nuru did, waiting for the other boil to eat first in case there was some unusual twist to it that would make him look an idiot if he delved right into it. He approved however, it was very tasty, and gave Nuru a nod. "Not half bad at all." He purred. "You have good taste."
Lazily he coiled his tail around Nuru's ankle under the table in an affectionate little gesture, but one no one else in the place would actually need to spot.

Nuru smiled. The soft fwumping noise of his tail flopping against the seat cushion repeatedly filled the air.
"Ahm glad you like it. Ah love them even more than bat jerky." He almost wanted to add that their only downside was that they cost more... but as it was he wasn't sure how he was going to change the date to not include a movie he couldn't afford.
He polished off his boogah and drink and eyed Zar over gauging his progress.
