"Hel, you're getting overworked again," Shun noted calmly before turning his attention back to the strange white creature. Granted, the Valkyrie did have a point. But she was being incredibly hot blooded about it.. as usual.

"Yes. We are sorely unprepared. Every new meeting we have with the hunters only rubs in that fact. Worse yet, half the school population is blissfully ignorant of the matter. But yes, it is as Hel says. Any... preparation done thus far has been only on our part as far as I'm aware."

The horsemen had tried to help, but that didn't end very well. He couldn't help but grimace at Death's words before she parted with the rest of the horsemen to follow the Hunters. About how they always needed a babysitter. It was frustrating.

< It does not help that most students are unaware of their conflicts, indeed. > There was definitely a contemplative undertone to the voice, as the branches shifted, slightly. < The staff are not wrong in their actions, they would like to protect you, the students, as a whole. It is not their obligation to teach you what they do not understand themselves. If you wish to learn more, then you should find it yourselves! If you are hesitant you need to learn how to fight ba- >

-"Professor!" One very out of breath school secretary burst into the fray, papers flying everywhere. He looked extremely mollified as he stared up at the 'familiar' and then down at the two students, glancing nervously around at all angles. "You- you're not- they can't-" Arel began, spluttering and pointing fingers everywhere. "Now is not the time. These students are not ready."

A pause. The two students might as well have been invisible at this point. < As you wish then. > The figure was gone, though the voice remained for a second longer. < If any students wish to know more they need only to request my presence. >

Considering how Arel was still glowering at the trees huffily while picking up some of the fallen stacks of paper, it was obvious that he had not heard the last sentence addressed to the students at all from the mysterious "professor", if that familiar could even be called that. The secretary glanced up, a little annoyed that Shun and Hel were still just standing there. "Well, don't you have classes to attend or something?"

Am not getting overworked!” Hel replied, crossing her arms now with a frown as she glanced at Shun and then back at the white creature. She listened to its words, her expression going sour. So the teachers didn’t understand either? Great. Its next set of words though, immediately caught the ghoul’s attention, and she uncrossed her arms, moving closer towards the base of the tree as she stared up at it, grinning.

Ya? Go find it ourselves? I like the sound of that…” Her grin widened as it spoke about fighting back. “Go on!” She encouraged, though couldn’t help but jump in surprise as a voice called out. Hel whirled around, catching sight of the secretary…who them promptly dismissed them. Hel’s face pulled back into a scowl. “Not ready!?” She cried, whether she was interrupting them or not. She crossed her arms once more and tapped her foot impatiently, pausing as she look back up to see the creature gone…but still…if they wanted to learn seek it…

The reaper knelt then, collecting some of the papers Arel had dropped and handing them back to the secretary with a snort. “Sir, when there are more classes about battling, magic, and how to handle false reapers, I will be in them!”

"Yes. You are," Shun said flatly before watching the white creature. It certainly spoke as if it knew quite a bit about how to go about handling the hunters. The Reaper wasn't sure if this was some sort of bluff or what, but when Arel came charging in out of nowhere to stop the creature from continuing, it seemed that this wasn't quite the case. He cast the creature a glance, keeping its offer in mind, before turning back to the secretary.

"We will never be ready if nothing is done to prepare us," he said.

"Also, I'm done for the day. There is... somewhat of a lack of classes with the subject matter she has mentioned, though," he added. It seemed that he felt little need to move from his spot under the tree. Granted, his attempt to do any meditation had been shattered from the somewhat sudden influx of people in the area.

Said secretary stared for a long second at Hel before snatching the papers right out of her hands. "If you ever want to graduate to become outstanding citizens you might want to consider peaceful persuits." He shuffled his papers nervously, out of habit, sighing a little. "Just try... try not to get into too many fights, is that too hard to ask for, really."

In the end, as he shuffled away, the Amityville school secretary just looked extremely sad and tired.

The ghoul blinked at the secretary’s words, and stared after him for a long moment before looking over at Shun after he departed.

If I ever want to graduate, I think I need to survive first, ya?” Hel pushed herself back to her feet and her brows furrowed. She waited until they seemed to be alone again before speaking back to the grim reaper. “So…what is your take on what just happened?”

Shun didn't say anything as the secretary wandered on off, appearing to be... sad? Perhaps he was just weary. It was a little hard for him to tell. Shaking his head, he looked back to Hel, taking a moment to think about the answer.

"It seems we have a strange new professor on campus. One who speaks as if he knows quite a bit of what's going on. Of things that Arel would prefer for us to not know at this moment," he replied.

The secretary’s expression bothered her more than it should have. The ghoul frowned, and shook her head as if she was trying to clear the mental image out. She looked back at Shun and gave a firm nod of her head.

“…Did you hear its parting words?” She murmured, glancing around. “…I want to learn more…preferably now…but…”

"I did. And as do I, but there is a time for everything. I don't think trying to seek it out right after Arel essentially shoo'd it away is the best time right now," Shun replied before letting out a breath. It at least had quieted down around here. Maybe he could finally reattempt his meditation soon.

The ghoul hummed thoughtfully, and reluctantly decided that Shun was probably right about this. “So…when would be a good time to seek it, then?” A frown pulled at her lips at the prospect of more waiting, and it seemed she wasn’t leaving anytime soon. In fact, she took a seat right down on the ground next to the tree, seemingly in thought.

You going to go back to sitting under the tree with your eyes closed, friend?” She questioned after a moment conversationally.

"Probably some time when you aren't out in the open where it is somewhat easy to be interrupted," he suggested. Taking in a breath, he thought Hel was going to leave soon, but instead, she took a seat nearby.

"I plan on resuming meditation, yes," Shun answered.
PostPosted: Mon Feb 27, 2012 3:26 pm

Ah, alright…” Hel hummed a bit. “Ah, yes! That…meditating thing.” The reaper pulled her feet together and rocked a bit, watching Shun. “…So…why do you do it again?” Her brows furrowed. “Wait…aren’t you suppose to be under a waterfall when you meditate? That is what they do in all the fighting movies I have seen!”

Sorry Shun. Seems like Hel wasn’t going away anytime soon.

Shun stared at Hel for a bit as she asked a few more things regarding his little activity here.

"You can sit under a waterfall yes, but it is not required in the slightest. Anyway, I do it because it helps me clear my mind and focus. If there's a lot of things going on, it helps to reflect to figure out just how to deal with everything."

And he had a hell of a lot of things going on in his life right now.

Hel stared back, though her expression was more of an ‘o rly’ look. Mixed with skepticism too, of course. Hel did not place much stock in the idea that just sitting and clearing your mind could help…

The ghoul’s brows furrowed as she stared long and hard at the Grim before coming to a decision. “Okay, Shun.” She started. “If you think this meditation is helpful…I will let you teach me then!” She now stared at him expectantly, waiting.

"I don't think it is helpful. I know it is. For me at least," Shun stated before watching Hel for a moment or so. Well, quite frankly, if she could meditate, it might make her less... over the top. Just maybe.

"Step one, find a quiet place with few distractions. Step two close your eyes, and stop moving around. Step three, control your breathing and clear your mind," he instructed. From there, the steps did vary a bit. Since it did depend partially on the purpose of the meditation.

Taking in a deep breath, he got himself settled back down, closing his eye so he could try to resume now.
