Catching someone approaching, Shun glanced to the side to see a stranger coming on by. For a moment, he wondered if it was some new recruit, given the apparent age of the guy. However, he soon noticed a peculiar pendant hanging from the vampire's neck. Warily, he watched him approach. He did not like the looks of this, but he wasn't really ready to jump to any conclusions. Not here.

"Stand by," Kaitou instructed firmly, motioning for his son to stay put and hopefully be quiet. He had some business to attend to. Turning towards the vampire, he soon waved for some of his men to bring the two captive students forth.

"Here's two students. They're tied up pretty good so they shouldn't be able to escape. Do you have our payment?"

"Tied up?" The vampire murmured, neither appreciative nor impressed. He inspected the captives and give a small nod. Two more pendants appeared in his hands, which he carefully placed around each captive's neck. Immediately all three pendants flared red and then faded to a soft glowing blue. "They'll do." Impassive eyes slid back to Kaitou, "If this is all you have for me, then I'll have the standard payment dropped off now."

He reached into his pocket and pulled out an eye-phone.

Shun furrowed his brow as he saw more pendants being brought on out. Any suspicion he had before was now increased at least ten times over. Hunters. These kids were being shipped off to them, weren't they? Worse yet, it could have been Mitsu in this position. With one of those pendants. It made him a little sick thinking about it actually.

Maybe.. just maybe it had been some lucky Halloween b*****d to have gotten a hold of some pendants like that, but that didn't seem all too plausible to him.

Even so, he remained where he was. Doing something right now would no doubt bring him more trouble than it was really worth. Besides, he was still trying to wrap his head around what exactly was going on here.

Kaitou sneered at the vampire's words. Haughty and disdainful thing he was.

"Of course. We'll have more for you in the coming weeks. Any... requests?" he asked. There was something slightly sinister about the way he said that. He was not particularly a fan of this individual, but there was good money in this.

The "vampire" simply stared for a moment, and texted the drop code, "My request is the same as always. Get me members of the horsemen clan, and you'll get triple. I hear they've made it even easier for you to do this and yet..." he glanced around, eyebrows raised. The phone gave a muted groan, and he glanced down at the message, "The money's been delivered safely, no complications."

Kaitou did not seem all too amused with this before heaving a sigh. Always with the horsemen. Grabbing that lot wasn't really easy, nor was it really low key. Then again, he had heard news of them taking interest in Amity.

"Fine. Fine. We will have some of them for you then, next time," he muttered. Though, his mood lifted somewhat at the news of the money being dropped off without any issue.

"Very well. Until next time then. I suppose you need no help taking these two back?" he asked.

The vampire snorted softly and brought out a knife to sever the captive bonds, though he left the blindfolds on for now. "You will move as instructed. You will not try to escape. You will not draw attention to yourselves." With each murmured instruction, the pendants flashed red.

"Stand."

They stood slowly, awkward from being bound and their current state of compulsion. As he led them out, he turned back to Kuroda one last time, "Have your people stay low profile in Alaska, Seattle, Cancun, and New York."

He left with no goodbyes, thank yous, or even a throw away pleasure doing business with you.

Shun watched as the two stood without any sign of a struggle. He hadn't seen the pendants do anything like this before, but it was definitely troublesome.

"Will do," Kaitou said, watching his client leave with the two students. Once he was out of sight, he turned to his son, "Forget your previous assignment. Bring me every last detail you can get on the horsemen stationed at your school. I will be speaking with the Laburnum to get Titus in on that as well."

The older Reaper's eyes narrowed before he took a few steps closer, grabbing onto the younger one as if to make a stronger point.

"Don't ******** this up. "

Gritting his teeth, Shun stared back at his father before pulling himself away.

"Of course I won't," he murmured.

"Good. Now get out of here."

Not wanting to spend any more time around here himself, Shun obliged without a fuss. As he walked off, his mind replayed the scene that he had just witnessed here. Those pendants looked very much like the ones he had seen hunters wearing before. But according to the Seeds forum, they had a teleportation function. The way the two captives just went along without trying to fight seemed to suggest some other function as well. They didn't act like they had been drugged prior either.

Not only that, but the places named.. were not in Halloween as far as he knew. That and who the hell would be interested in kidnapping jacking horsemen?

Well, there would potentially be one hell of a ransom but that was playing with some serious fire.

All in all, there was little doubt in his mind right now that the Family had been shipping off students to the hunters. This... did not sit all too easy with him, especially knowing that he had helped the two captive ones there be taken more or less.

He... needed time to think about this.

A couple of hours had passed and Mitsu was still fast asleep. Her dreams had been filled with odd nightmares and visions, her mind fabricating the worst possible scenarios. Nothing was obviously real and Mitsu made it worse hoping to break this dream and wake up but nothing seemed to help. Even now as she floated in the air above an odd land made up of checker boards and hedge mazes with tea pots swirling around her. She knew none of it was real, knew this was a dream but she was stuck.

The control she had was little, slipping away as a hand forced a tea cup into her trembling fingers. Before Mitsu realized what she was doing she had downed the cup plummeting herself into the nightmare that had been looming on the outskirts of her mind. She fell into darkness, deeper and deeper she went, visions and glimpses of white coats appeared in the shadows. She saw short scenes of Shun being tortured and taken away, killed and never coming back. Her mind was never able to draw up the image of his father because she had never seen him but she knew the darkened figure dragging Shun away was supposed to be him. But...was that a glowing scythe in his hand?

Her eyes darted from one thing to the next, her restless mind unable to cope with the idea of just laying here. She may have been forced to sleep but that didn't mean she would rest. A couple of times she had managed to cry out, still trying desperately to claw her way out of the dream that refused to let her go.

Finally when nearly three hours had passed Mitsu began to stir feeling groggy and inert. She groaned lightly a hand coming to her aching head before she quickly pulled it away looking for Shun. Was he here? Was he safe? "S..Shun?"

By the time Mitsu had started to come around, Shun was already back in his room. The mess with the tea earlier had been cleaned up. Right now, he was sitting at the edge of his bed, sitting by the girl. While he waited for her to awaken, he was thinking everything over in silence. It seemed like he was in quite a bit of a mess right now.

The whole situation was confusing him really. If hunters hadn't been involved, he wouldn't have really paid it much heed (aside from Mitsu showing up on the target list). However, this was actually bothering him quite a bit.

Grimacing, he soon glanced down as he heard his wolf asking for him. Reaching out, he placed a hand onto her head, looking her over.

"I'm right here..."

Oh. And he had another problem stewing right now. He had little doubt that Mitsu was going to be very unhappy very soon.

Relief flashed across Mitsu's face when her eyes settled on Shun. He wasn't gone, he was here safe and sound. As soon as that realization sunk in the previous issues took center stage. Her relief turned to hurt, her ears folding back as his hand reached toward her head.

In that instant she looked away from him, taking up staring at the wall as she tried to sort out how she felt. She didn't want to cry about it but she could feel the threat of tears welling up.

"So you made it back?" She finally asked doing her best to keep her voice steady though it ended up coming out flat. What had happened had been so unexpected Mitsu was still having trouble telling if it was real. All she knew was the hurt she felt at the moment, real or not, was promising to consume her.

That hurt expression didn't escape him. It was surprising how something so little could impact him so much. Grimacing, Shun lowered his head before nodding quietly to her.

"Of course," he said quietly before falling silent. He shifted on a little closer before trying to gently pull Mitsu's head onto his lap.

"I'm... sorry."
PostPosted: Fri Feb 24, 2012 5:49 pm

He was sorry. Why did his apology hurt to hear? Probably because it would never undo what had been done. As much as she would want to forget this she would always remember the tea, always attach it with hurt and now suspicion and unease.

As he tried to pull her head into his lap she rolled away from him and gave him her back, her eyes clenching shut. She couldn't forgive him so easily. Not for something like this.

"You said you were going to see your father....real or not?" It seemed she was trying to start from the beginning, finding out what had been a dream and what had been reality. If she could piece together what really happened maybe she could make sense of this unease. The easiest way was to start with basic information and work from there.

Shun flinched a bit as she pulled away. He should have known she wouldn't be happy with this. Turning away as well, he let out a breath as he sat at the edge of his bed.

"... Yes," he said quietly. Guilt was sitting with him even heavier now than when he had first gotten back to his room. He wasn't sure if he had felt so much at any given point before now. Just how angry was she with him right now? And would she ever forgive him?

"I think.. I owe you an explanation. Ask whatever, and I'll answer."
PostPosted: Fri Feb 24, 2012 6:03 pm

Mitsu grew silent when Shun told her to ask whatever she wanted. It wasn't because she didn't have questions it was just she had no way to voice them. No way to make sense of the confusion that still lingered in her mind so instead she continued to work away at her basic information building from the last things she could remember.

"You never intended for me to come. You drugged me so that I would fall to sleep and you could keep me here." There was a pause before she finally asked in a slightly strained voice. "Real or not?" She still couldn't turn his way though her hands gripped at the sheets like they were her only hold on reality. If she let them go surely she would sink back into a nightmare worse than this.

Shun clenched his fists for the moment, hearing that strain in her voice.

"Real.." he said quietly, after a period of time. There was no point in lying to her here about that. He did it. He did it to protect her. If she had been caught following him, would they have turned her over to the hunter as well?

For a moment, the image of Mitsu simply following along the 'vampire' with the strange pendant around her neck. No struggle to break free, and just walking along like there was nothing to it.
