Luke replied with a thumbs-up, an easier way than shouting to communicate over the rush of air. He leaned to Leste to relay the plan, and the Pidgeot crooned gratefully. The pair swept downward after Rosie and Perdy, lowering their altitude and keeping an eye on their course. It did not take a great length of time before pokemon and trainer came a rest on the ground, Leste flopping forward in an exhausted heap with her wings splayed out around her. Luke carefully climbed down from the bird to let her rest, rubbing her head appreciatively. He didn't know what the standard endurance levels were a Pidgeot with a passenger, but as far as he was concerned, she had done well.

After landing, Rosie waited until Perdy was securely on the ground, before she too slipped off, the fabric draping from her hips fluttering lightly back around her legs as she hurrying over to where Luke and Leste were resting.
"Is she okay?" Rosie asked, looking down at the tired Pidgeot, giving her a wide, encoring smile.

Perdy made his way more slowly behind Rosie, leaning forward once he stopped behind his trainer, resting his head on her shoulder as he also peered at the other team.

Leste raised the tip of a wing dismissively, drawing a slight smirk from her trainer. "She's fine," he assured. "Just worn out. You gonna be up again soon?" He placed his hands on his hips in mock expectancy, not at all surprised by the snort he received in reply. "Heh, yeah, yeah, take your time," he then turned to Rosie and, by property of association, to Perdy, "Sorry, I guess this was harder on her than we were expecting." Hopefully they wouldn't be held up too much.

Rosie's posture relaxed a little when it became clean that Leste was alright.
Her eyebrows arched when Luke continued to talk, and the blue eyes of the girl moved to him this time.
"Mmm" she shook her head with a slight giggle. "Its good training, You'll get used to it eventually,"
She reached up, curling an arm slowly around Perdy's neck, hugging him gently, for a couple of seconds before the Pidgeot straightened up again.

"How did it feel? I noticed you were starting to get more comfortable with it."
The blond asked with a pleased grin.

He nodded; the same as training for battle or practicing swordsmanship, flying with Leste was something that would take frequent practice before they were both able to do it easily.

"Uh, it was sort of... stiff, I guess?" he said, raising his arms to stretch the tension from them. "But it was really cool too. I never thought about what everything looked like from above... Pretty awesome." He stared up at the sky momentarily with a vast sense of wonder. And to think, once Leste was comfortable with it, that he could do that sort of thing whenever he liked.

She had no doubt in her mind that they would get used to it, and Luke was the kind of person she knew would keep trying until they got it right.
"You two look great together, you make a great team."

Rosie eyes lit up, as she took a step toward Luke, one gloved hands lifting up as she snapped her fingers.
"Hey! Luke, Lets do this more often!" She said. "I want to start trying more challenges while flying, we can push each other."
She glanced over at the two birds. Perdy having stopped by Leste and lowered his head with a friendly look.
"We're the only ones in the group with flying types after all." She pointed out with a look back to Luke.
"Plus if you think about it." She started, tilting her head and putting a hand on her hip. "If something went wrong up there, it would be really good to have someone up there with you to help out."

"Huh..." Well, he couldn't really object to the proposition. Flying was challenging, but it was fun, and he certainly didn't plan to quit until he could at least match Rosie's abilities. Her point that they would be able to help one another in a pinch raised a valid concern about practicing alone, however. "Ah... Yeah, I guess it is pretty dangerous, isn't it...?" He hadn't been thinking about that while they were flying. Leste had been so sure of herself that hadn't seemed like the sort of situation where anything could go wrong. But of course, that was never the case. "Well sure, I'd be up for that whenever," he agreed with a nod.

Rosie nodded in agreement when Luke voiced that it was a dangerous practice.
"I've stuck to very basic things when it came to flying, Its a lot of fun, but its easy to get nervous when you look at high high you get."
She turned to face the Pidgeot again.
"But I think if I really want to have Perdy on my team I'm really going to need to be able to keep up with him, that includes when he's in the air."

It seemed like a topic she had been really thinking about for a long time, and thinking about seriously.
Over the past few months she had to really step back and put into perspective... what did it take to be a good trainer? what did it take to be someone who could be strong for her pokemon, and someone her pokemon could trust and rely on, as well as a trainer who could trust, and rely on her own team. that of course meant each unique individual pokemon on her team.

She paused for a moment, before she turned back to Luke when he agreed about flight training together.
"Thank you Luke!" she said, with genuine relief and excitement.
"Pretty soon we'll be one step closer to being some of the greatest Trainers Kodo's ever seen!"
with her friends, she certainly felt that they could accomplish it.

Yeaaahh, Luke hadn't been paying very close attention to how high he had been... He felt both relief and regret over that. One the one hand, he didn't have to be freaked out over the possibility of falling if he never knew just how high up he was. On the other, it was probably a good idea to know just how long he had for a midair recovery before he had the ground to worry about. Well, not that it mattered all that much now that they were on firm earth... He would just have to be more aware the next time they were in the sky.

Rosie's excitement drew a smile that broadened at the clear statement of their goal. Maybe 'Kodo's greatest trainers' was a bit of a lofty ambition, but what was there to hold them back? "Yeah," he agreed, a fresh resolve in his features. "Let's do it! Right, Leste?" He turned to the Pidgeot in his eagerness, but she responded with an expression that was wholly unamused. "Well, whenever you're ready..."

Her excitement could only seem to grow when seemed to whole heatedly agree with this goal. She took in a breath, filling her lungs where she held it for a few seconds, so happy she could burst.
She thought they could do it, they could really go forward and be something amazing.

When Luke spoke to his Pidgeot, Rosie glanced over as well, a big bright smile on her face, but upon seeing the look on Leste's face, followed with Luke's more sober reply, The blond could not help but double over in pleasant laughter.

Oh my gosh she loved her friends, she couldn't help but take joy from that interaction.
Leaning forward with a hand pressing down to one of her knees.
"You guys are the best." She managed to say through rolls of joyous laughter.

The sudden laughter was unexpected, and Luke blinked in mild confusion for a passing moment. As it continued, though, he couldn't help a laugh of his own; it was just about impossible to keep a straight face when presented with such a wholehearted demonstration of mirth. He ran a hand through his hair, vaguely embarrassed. He wasn't sure what he'd done to earn such a display, but he supposed he'd take it.

"Man, this sucks," a male voice came over the rustle of tall grass some distance away. "What do they expect us to do in three hours? This place is deserted. I thought we usually go to the city."

"Hey, shut up - I think someone's over there." This was another young male, different from the first.

Her laughter eventually drifted into giggled as she straightening back up, flicking a finger over one of her closed eyes.

Perdy was the first to hear the talking while his trainer was distracted. The large pink bird turning his head around sharply before he tilted his head.
Well, this was training aria.
"Pidgeooo." He cooed cooly, stretching a wing out and tossing it a couple of times to get Rosie's attention.

"Hum?" Rosie hummed, still smiling as she glanced over her shoulder at Perdy.

The Pidgeot nodded his beat toward where the talking and rustling was from, causing Rosie to pause and listen to what he noticed.
"Oh, there are more people here." She noted, glancing over at Luke to a grin.

Perdy's behavior drew Luke's attention as well, and he regarded the other Pidgeot and his trainer with a vague curiosity. Her conclusion elicited an expectant blink, and he directed his attention to the area Perdy had indicated. "Huh, really?" He was under the impression that they'd just set down essentially in the middle of nowhere, and the thought that they were to be joined by others was unexpected and puzzling. Maybe they were closer to town than he perceived...?

"Two someones," the first voice agreed, then ruined any and all elements of surprise by sneezing loudly.

"Sweet. Let's do this and get out of he-" "AAAGHKBCH!" "Dude.."

The grass rustled, bringing the voices closer. "I thig dis ib ragweeb."
