I have a few more but they're just basic ideas right now and I'd have to work out some things before they would actually work, such as one that mixes a battle and a contest so that the crowd decides who won so even if ( for example ) Alex beat Vince the crowd could say that Vince won because he battled "better." That one I haven't figured out how to be fair with yet so it won't be offered, but it was just an example.

Thats basically the Contest battle. You mean like whoever is more creative with battle tactics and the way moves are used wins the battle regardless if you knocked out the other pokemon right? *is assuming so* Then you could probably let the two fight with a single pokemon of choice, and post a poll, where we then wait a day, maybe two? and see which characters has the higher vote count? (Even then we need more active members to pull that off)
They have one of those already?
Was it only in the anime? Or one of the comics? The only pokemon comic that I read that could have it is the Pokemon Adventures and I'm only up to the Platinum saga, I believe right after Heatran is shown if not one or two chapters after that... And I haven't seen the anime in a long time <.<

Anyway, that is kinda what we're doing now unless someone wants to use the RNG or one of the fighters are thinking they their opponent isn't playing fair, but we're still counting the one with pokemon standing as the winner.

It's in both i think. not entirely sure. Anyway it like, a singles battle with a single pokemon, no switching, no items, nothing. The whole point is to create different effects to make the move and your pokemon look as glamorous as possible while fighting the other. While combining your pokemons move you have to try to attack, defect, and make your pokemon look good in the fight. The battle ends after a timer runs out (which I assumes we could make like a post limit to subsitute the timer thing) or when the other pokemon is knocked out. Then it's up to the audience who wins or loses. Some will vote by how they think moves combined well or if they enjoyed the battle tactics they used to win. Sorry if its not a great explanation...

No, it's fine.
I understand wht you meant and that's pretty much what I had in mind.
The question now, is how to make it fair.

Well the vote goes to the members as for the battles... Im thinking you can only write X amount of paragraphs (1 or 2 i assume) and each can have at most X amount of sentences each. That way you limit on the amount they write an ddont end up with a giant wall of text trying to explain the most amazing move thing ever.

We went over this a week or two ago Ken. The only ones that were not on the list were the fossil pokemon, the Legendary pokemon, and the starter pokemon.
I personally got a list of every pokemon from Bulbapedia and when the pokemon showed up on the list Akai made it and all of it's evolutions/pre-evolutions were taken off the list and the starters fossils and legendaries were left.

Gah I'm sorry it's taken me so long to respond to this Vinny. I like idea bouncing you and Lone are doing off of one another. We might actually be able to do contests if y'all can figure out how it would work. Back on topic: my memory's s**t so I'll take your word on this.

I'm willing to let GLs do just about anything with their gyms (minus having trainers battle a million people before getting to the GL, let's just keep it simple that way) within reason.

Tis fine. And that's one of the reasons for this thread isn't it?

As for the pokemon thing. Go to the Pokes Go Here in the staff meeting area and you'll probably remember that conversation.

As for the GL thing... HURRAY blaugh

It's not so much as a few suggestions but requests I'm hoping someone might have a brilliant solution to.

I started to wonder about implementing some kind of Move Tutor. I haven't looked over the entire TM list, but the Tutors were always an alternative in the previous generations. (While it seems that the Dream World moves kind of replaced that in Gen. V, but that's not being used in this region.)

Also, is a Move Relearner necessary in this RP? I imagine being able to swap out moves every so often could be slightly overpowered. A version of Heart Scales could be awarded as prizes.

And it might be too far ahead to start to think about now, or I might have missed it completely, but will a Day Care system for eggs be set up in the future? I suggest that it shouldn't be, because it can get rather complicated fast if, say, you want your Tentacruel with Rapid Spin. I think eggs should be only handed out as prizes.

So how about a couple of the Gym Leaders/E4 be secretly in Team Celestia? I know you said you didn't want them to be named members, but perhaps they could be loosely connected? I was thinking that it could be like Sabrina, Surge and Koga in Team Rocket.

Also (sorry to double post, but this idea is irrelevant to the last post), I have a plot idea involving Team Celestia.
I dunno if anyone here has read the manga, but in there the eight Badges are required for Team Rocket's plan to summon a creature (I think it looked like Lugia?). Perhaps we could apply that to Etrua? Team Celestia has the twelve Zodiac symbols as codenames, right? There are eight gyms plus the Elite Four, equaling twelve. I know that the Gyms hand out Badges, but maybe the Elite Four could hand out some sort of token, too? Then it could be either the jobs of the three Admins to collect an assigned four of the tokens each or each codenamed Team Celestia member could be in charge of collecting one?

They could go about this two ways (or more, feel free to suggest them XD), they could steal them or assign a 'trainer' to go and win the token off the token-holder. Now, once all twelve of these tokens are brought together, they will summon the 'Great Evil' that Celestia wants to awaken.

Thoughts?

No, that was before, when they ******** up Zapdos, Moltres and Articuno. In the final battle, I'm pretty sure it was Lugia he summoned.

might i suggest a day/night system? I remember that was a strange problem (maybe annoyance) when the guild started, one area would be morning the next area is complete darkness of midnight

While this is a good idea in theory it's not really feasible. If we set it to ANY American time zone then anyone who's not in America is going to have a difficult time keeping up with people. Same as if we set it to anyone else's time zone.

That's NOT a bad idea Kat! I really like it. Now we just need more people to sign up for GL, E4, and TC positions. Anyone wanna add onto this?

Seconded. I like the idea and it adds a bit more to the story. We need an appropriate TC spy to be able to infiltrate the league, but other that that we should be good to go xD

It's been a while since I've read the earlier chapters... Was this during R/B, Y, G/S, or the C chapters?
