Kainda giggled, sometimes loudly enough for her mate to hear. She would then stop and hold her breath as she kept still close to a tree or hunkered down as much as she could to the ground. Both of them had extremely long manes and tails which made things all the more complicated and yet fun.
When he looked up into the tree she couldn't help but whinny with hysteria. There was no way in hell she'd get up a tree. The mare had to move her hiding spot, however, knowing full well that Tide's hearing was one of the best - hence the reason for so many scouting trips. Her red eyes watched him carefully as she trudged through the bushes at his right side. Her hair had too been assaulted by twigs and such things, but the grooming would come after the tryst such as it always had.
With a snort, she poked her flank out walking nonchalantly through a bush so that he could see her. Kainda then quickly trotted around to the other way knowing he would be there soon. "Come my love. You must not want it very much if you're so slow at finding me." Kainda teased and giggled snapping a few twigs purposely and even sticking her horn out for him to see.

"Hey! You're a Master at hide and seek!" His ears twitched from side to side, her siren's call haunting his footsteps. "Here and there he saw a flash of orange and he followed them diligently. But no matter how close he got to where the orange had been his mate eluded him. She very nearly gave herself away with the whinny of laughter though. He grinned.
"Bah you know I want it. Want you. But you had to pick the thickest part of this forest to caper around in. And my frame is LARGER then your petite sweetness." Tide missed a step and almost tripped. "Ugh." There he saw the orange, his black ears zeroed in. He flicked his tail and crept closer. "Ahah gotcha!"

And indeed her mate did for she grew distracted by her dancing about him. The mare found herself face to face with the stallion, their noses touching ever so gently. For a moment she was surprised, but a look of pleasantness crossed her gaze as she nibbled at his nose. "Well my love you did find me." Kainda chuckled shaking her neck a little. "Come. Let us go back to your face."
The mare brushed past her mate smelling his musk. They had worked up a bit of exercise with all this hiding, and in this close proximity, she could smell his want which made her quiver all over. Her tail flicked behind her as she trotted through the thicket until they came back toward the small glade. She began to pick out what leaves and sticks and small branches that she could reach. "Tide? I need your help to groom!" The mare cooed out to her mate, ears flicking a little as her eyes trailed to the fish as they danced about in their watery home.

Tide wriggled his muzzle as she nibbled on him. It was dreadfully ticklish when she did that. His sides were still heaving and he almost shivered himself right over when she brushed past him. Egad what a female!
Tide followed her eagerly but had trouble extricating himself from the thick brush. He nearly pulled a chunk of mane out trying to get to her to help her with her own extra long, extra fine, blue rats nest of twigs and branches. "Arghhh!"
Finally free he trotted over and started to help her, branches, twigs leaves, the odd arboreal mushroom. He winced and wondered what things were in his own mane, a fairy nest maybe? OW oh there was a rose branch in here somewhere. "I think my lip is bleeding." He said quietly as he spat out the offending thorny devil.

Kainda watched him with a bit of comical interest. What on earth had her stallion gotten into when he was trouncing about looking for her? The mare rolled her eyes a little as she came over carefully picking out all of the branches in his tail first.
Moving up to his mane was a different matter. He had definitely done a number on the silk strands, and there wouldn't be saving some patches. The mare grunted a little trying to pull out a branch without tearing too much hair out. "Psh...Tide you're going to have to take a bath." The mare gave a sigh flicking her ears as she moved around to his front. Her nostrils flared as she smelled a small tear of blood. "I think it is too." Her eyes studied his lips for a moment. "You'll live I think." The mare licked his cheek gently nudging his nose again. "C'mon, Tidal Wave. Bath time." The mare carefully slipped into the pond careful of the koi who went hiding in the tall reeds and away from the orange mare as she splashed water against her legs and lowering her neck to let her hair get soaked. If there was one thing in life that she loved, it was bath time.

Tide stepped into the water after her. "Come here my little rip tide." He rumbled at her. She looked so good wet, despite all the things still caught in both their long manes. His fish may not be impressed with the ensuing forest debris but it couldn't be helped. Tide went to the deeper water and swam around. This thankfully dislodged most of the stuff in his mane and tail. "Hey Kainda. This works." He said and did cirlcles, his long legs propelling him with short kicks throough the water until he could lodge his back feet against a long and was abet to launch himself along.

Kainda took her time to wade into the deeper waters, immediately feeling her body cool and relax in the waters. She swam in the opposite way of him so that he was always in her field of vision, her eyes taking in the strong strokes he took with his muscular body. Tide made her feel giddy all over with how he looked. Sometimes she forgot she was such a badass of a mare and more of a fanatical fan girl.
She kept to the deeper waters for a while before following her mate toward the more shallow end careful of what she stepped on as well as the fish, ears flicking as she hummed gently.

Tide growled at her playfully. Wiggling his butt the moment he could stand on his back legs...he surged toward her as a desert cat may chase a rabbit. His passage created thick swells of waves. Quite poetic really when one though about his name. He was hoping for a giggle and a spirited game of water tag...his poor fish, he snorted at the thought of them..they were always carefull not to step on anyone. And if their nibbles became more forceful with his afterward then so be it. He was having FUN, HE the father of HIS and HER children... He smirked. It was about time they took a break from raising their dear sweet little hellions. (XD)

Kainda gave a yawn not really paying much attention to her male until he practically tackled her almost to the bank of the pond. She jumped a little and gave a whinny of surprise trying to surge away. Out of all the crap she gave him during their training sessions about being prepared, it seemed as though this mare forgot the basic rules! She laughed a little at her own silliness before she charged at him with a grunt pushing playfully with her neck and chest, using her back legs to propel herself forward against Tide.

Kainda caught him just as he was balanced on one leg. Her nudge sent him flailing into the water. "Kainda!" he accused his mate. Completely drenched he slogged back to his feet. He tugged her tail playfully. "What happened to "Always be prepared Tide?"" He asked slyly. "Then again our foals have caught us by surprise once in a while. He remembered the pinecone pelting they got one day simply by not checking witch patch of their den area they walked through. In a rare show of comraderie Kai and Tempest had ganged up and unloaded their store of pinecones on their parents. Pinecones which had taken the pair all day to collect. It made Tide proud and prickly at the end of the say. Almost everytime he went to lay down there had been a pinecone somewhere under his body.

Kainda gave a snort as she snuggled closer to her wet mate. "Yes. Pinecones." The mare shuddered at the thought of nights where she would sleep only to be awoken by the uncomfortable p***k of the cone things of doom. Her children could be at each other's throats, but sometimes they truly did pleasantly surprise her. Kai yawned a little leaning over to nibble on his ear in affection. "Ahh...I'm getting sleepy. Should we hunker down for the night or head back to the herd? I'm sure the children are already home."

"I think our children would be okay on their own for the night, what is the worst that could happen they rip out each others hair and both bring dates home? I doubt they can get into too much mischief for the moment. That and we havent been here for so long." he yawned pointedly. "And now sweetcakes, I need to dry off." He stepped out of the water nipping her rump on the way by and shook himself rather enthusiastically on the shore. "Nothing like an evening swim, absolutely nothing...well besides you know." They had grown accustomed to not saying such things in front of the children, least they be peppered with disgusted looks and catcalls of "EW!" "GROSS," "MY EARS!".. ect.

Kainda followed after Tide a little while after he was done shaking. She stepped a few paces away from him as she shook off as much as she could as well, the night air making her feel a little bit chilly all the while. She snorted a little trotting up to Tide for warmth. The mare kept close to him resting her head against his neck giving a gentle sigh as the fond, intimate memories came rushing back to her. "Oh yes. I know." She chuckled nipping his neck before giving a bit of a yawn. "I suppose the children should be all right for now, darling. It's just...well I'm still their mom...I don't want them to fel abandoned, y'know?" Kainda looked over to the stallion with slightly worried eyes as if she just divulged a deep dark secret of hers.

"Kainda my love, we have been with them every waking hour since the night they were born. You remember that night? They were so cute and delicate and quiet. They had such tiny little hooves that just poked out of their blankets. Squeaky little voices and ENDLESS questions.. who knows why trees cannot walk I mean seriously!" Tide started laughing uproariously. "They have each other and together they can take on the world." Tide leaned against her. "We made sure of that." Dawn practice, miday practice somedays and POP practice when the kids were least expecting it.

All of what her beloved Tide said was true. They had been with their children every step of the way as they grew up. From Tempest's blindness to Kai's bruises, Kainda had been one of the fiercest mother's she had ever known. Even when some of Ion's and Hellfyre's children had teased her two, she didn't take anything or any of it lying down. Her tail flicked a little as she remember their birth. "Trees can't walk and why fish don't drown." Kainda laughed a little supporting her mate while he leaned against her, her own head leaning against his neck. "All right, all right. We were there. Maybe to the point of maddening, but we were there."
