She stopped and shook her head, realising he caught the wrong bit. "No, no... I meant.... I would love you to help me, thank you.... But if you need to go, or have to go... I understand. Or we can stay here and talk." Having no idea what if anything to look for to cheer her family up. She could borrow one of his feathers stick it in her hair and do a weird dance... and they would think she was insane.... bad idea.

Haki listened to the words again, and this time tried harder to understand them. Finally he believed he had it... she wanted to know if he wanted to go, or would rather stay, or even leave to do other things. She was trying to be nice to him, "Oh tamu Heze, wewe ni kiumbe adimu kweli kweli." (Oh sweet Heze, you are a rare creature indeed.) He nodded to her, trying once again to speak her language, "We can walk." He nodded his head in the direction she had indicated early. He started to take a few steps before turning and bowing, one wing spread wide as he waited for her to catch up.

She beamed at him, her wings going fluffy, very much loving his talking like that, becoming rahter eager to learn, wnating to know what he was saying to her. Moving up to join him, taking a moment to look over the unusualness of him... she had seen parts of him on others... Haishan had tail feathers... and Crowns friend had had a beak kind of... wings she knew... But all together he seemed very unusual and she didn't know what to think. Smiling at him as she falls into step with him. "Do you have family Haki?" thinking to keep her questions simple for now.

Haki simply smiled as she looked him up and down, he could see from the curiousity in her eyes that she meant no harm by it... and considering he had watched her and spied her features from a far he could not deny her the opportunity to return the favour. "Hippogryph." He said, sure that was the name his kind had been granted here. He smiled softly at her, but that soon shattered with her question. He turned away, his mind churning with his thoughts.... did he have family? Such a simple question yet the answer was not. Officially the answer was yes, still he said; "No." When he became a rebel he also became disowned. But sometimes you had to do what you believed in. He wiggled his eyebrow with the earring, simply enjoying feeling the alien weight of it, he had often found it relaxing. Each piece of silver meant something to him. Deciding to teach her some words, mostly to distract her from his reaction he said. "Family.... familia" He paused then thought of another word, "Father.... baba, Mother.... mama, Sister.... dada, Brother.... kaka."

Heze looked puzzled at the odd word, Hippogryph... Looking at him not sure she understood. She decided to ask when he had finished reacting and answering, and distracting her, though she listened and watched intently. She was perceptive enough to catch that she had hit on a painful subject and would drop it, she had a soft heart after all. "Hyppogryph, is that what you are?" Looking at him, walking along as she did. thinking over the words and deciding to try to use thme all. "My familia is good, My baba is strong and brave... My mama is kind and gentle... I have two dada and no kaka..." Fumbling a little over the words, not sure if she got the words in the right places. Smiling at him having ignored his reaction, but her eyes wandered to the silver in his eyebrow.

Haki nodded at her question. "Yes. I hyppogryph. You be?" He was sure his question was wrong, but he wasn't entirely sure how, until he recalled the way she had asked. Trying again he said, "What are you?" The you came out sounding more like 'owww', it felt strange saying it after other words. As she spoke of her family he could literally hear the love in her voice, that was something he could appreciate. "Kushikilia kwao karibu na moyo yako Heze, huwezi kujua wakati unaweza kupoteza yao. Ingawa nawasihi kamwe kufanya." (Hold them close to your heart Heze, you never know when you might lose them. Though I pray you never do.) Deciding that he could talk about his deceased mother he said, "My mother.... " A sad smile graced his features, "....Ilikuwa hivyo lovely yeye alifanya nyota wenyewe sparkle mkali." (Was so lovely she made the stars themselves sparkle brighter.)

Heze smiled at him, he was a hippogryph, well she had never herd of that. Grinning at his question and nodding a little as he corrected himself. "Yes, good.... Me? I am Angenicorn." Stopping and spreading her 4 wings showing off the markings. "Angeni." Her head wings wiggling, then lowering her head showing her horn. "Unicorn... Angenicorn... I'm a mix" Folding her wings up again smiling at him, her smile turning a little sad, speaking of his mother... Not sure if she was gone gone or just far away. Asking softly, trying to be respectful. "Is she back home? Or... With the spirits?" Not sure how to ask it, looking up as she said about the spirits.

Haki watched as she tried to explain her breed... a cross... that was interesting, He didn't get to see many cross breeds; then again he hadn't been wandering these lands for that long and back home had been full of the two dominate breeds... of course there had been that one cross breed. The one that had caused so much trouble for him. "Angenycorn." He tried to say her breed, rather liking the sound of it on his tongue. It strangely suited her. "Angel." He had heard that word from a spiritual creature when he had first ventured on the soquili lands. Of course he forgot about that and frowned at Heze's neck question. He crinkled his nose... why would his mother be a spirit? She would never have done anything to be punished that way! Only those who had been evil in life were cursed to venture the world forever more a spirit, never finding a true sliver of peace. Shaking his head he said, "Earth." He spirit had returned to the lifeforce of the world.

Smiling as he seemed to be making the connection, nodding, thinking at a later date when they undertood eachother more she would explain more about her breed to him if he wanted. Till then it was best to try to keep things simple. Looking at her hooves when he said earth, scraping at some loose soil, digging a little as she processed the word and what it might mean... earth.... buried? Then she was with the spirits, not sure how to work that one out till they understood the beliefs of the other more, or understood more. Nodding, thinking by earth he meant buried, not a correct assumption but it put her in the right area.... mostly. Looking at him and nodding. "I think I understand..." Starting to walk again when he was ready.

Haki copied her words, not because he was mocking her but because he was still getting use to the ordering, and some how speaking it outloud aided him in recalling it later; "I think I understand." He looked at her with a smile, hoping he had got them right. He started to walk, his eyes catching something above her head.... it was... glowing. His eyes went wide, he had never seen something like that before! It was like.... living fire! An omen? "We go...." He said, suddenly fearing that they were a sign of bad things to come, and he wanted to make sure that Heze got home to a family that still cared about her. "Lazima tuondoke kabla ya mnyama moto kuharibu yetu." (We should leave, before the fire beast destroys us.)

Heze finally looked at what he was worying about and smiled, walking closer to the fireflies she smiled at them. "Fireflies." Smiling at Haki again, not seeming to mind in the least that the small bugs danced around her. Watching tmhe with shining eyes as they flitted away doing whatever it was fireflies did. "Aren't they beautiful, like little dancing stars..." Thinking of the stories her parents had told her and her sisters of when her father had asked Chan to let him court her. Not sure of the custom herself but the story had been all romantic. It was only now she was older she understood how the almost magical little lights would probably seem romantic as they danced around when you were with that someone special. Shrugging and smiling, wandering back over to Haki. "They are harmless" Well unless you wre a leaf...

Harmless. He understood that word, and it only increased his curiousity as he walked towards them. One touched his nose causing him to flinch backwards and blow air out of his nose. Ok, so that probably wasn't the 'bravest' thing to be seen doing infront of a pretty lady. "Mimi mwenyewe aibu." (I disgrace myself) He mumbled to himself, before turning to join them. He had to admit the way they had danced around her, lighting her features up so that they looked just like that of an angel he had found the harmless creatures rather fascinating... or perhaps that was simply her. "Huwezi kujua jinsi nzuri wewe ni Heze. Nyota wenyewe uangaze kupitia macho yako." (You do not know how beautiful you are Heze. The stars themselves shine through your eyes.) He smiled at her for a moment, and to be honest it probably looked a lot like he was staring... well, he was. It took him a moment to realise what he was doing, and he coughed in embarssement as he lowered his gaze and hurried past her to contnue their 'walk'.

Heze smiled and fell into step with him, not sure of a word he had said but she was quite happy to follow along. Him jumping when the firefly had landed on his nose had been cute, but she didn't laugh, she didn't know him well enough to laugh at things that to her were silly and endearing. To him he might be gravely offended, heavens for all she knew he could be a ruler to his people. By the moon she hoped not, she would feel like such a fool if he were and her eshe was a not important girl bugging him.... Groaning at her own pun she fell into step with him. Looking round as they walk, keepig an eye out for something special to take home still. Thinking she might let him have a turn at a question now.

Haki was secretly glad that she hadn't commented on his reaction to the 'firefly', what a strange word. They walked in silence for a while, and at first it was comfortable until it changed, Haki wasn't sure why but he didn't like the silence that stretched between them. He wasn't sure what to say... in his own language he was quite the charmer at times, able to make almost anyone bend to his point of view... he was know as 'Haki the Lure' at times, though he was sure he would never tell her that, she may get the wrong impression of him. An idea flashed to mind, though he wasn't sure he knew enough words to convey his meaning fully; "You want.... learn... what?" He was trying to ask her what words she would like to learn, after all you usually remembered things you were actually interested in.

Heze looked over at him as he spoke, pondering his question, she was sure she would like to learn most everything in this lovely sounding language, but she had never tried to lean something new before... Looking up she saw the moon, something that was special to her herd in many ways, smiling she moved closer to him and stopped. Looking up trying to get him to look at the moon. "What do you call the moon?" Not sure if he knew the word moon but if not she could end up with the word for sky or cloud.
