"I'll be fine Joey.. Don't worry so much ok?" She giggled lightly and walked into the building.. looking around slowly as she searched for some one to get directions from. The only other inhabitants of the lobby were some rather dicey looking guys who leered at her from under their hats. "Um.... Hello? Y-you won't h-happen t-to know where I c-could find this address w-would you?" She tried her best to control her stutter though the fact that there were rather grumpy looking individuals didn't help her much.

Bad guy 1-- "Oh baby doll, I will find anything for your lil pretty face, just gotta give me a kiss" He started to walk towards her "Come on pretty lil thang, give me something to play with."
Bad guy 2-- "Go get her Bubba, you need a piece of that!"
Bad guy 3-- "I get seconds!"
Bad guy 2-- "Hell no, I get second, you get thirds."
Bad guy 1-- "Yall be dreamin, I'm takin this one home with me, keep her in my special room."
Bad guy 3-- "Can I at least watch??"
Bad guy 1-- Puts his hand and grips her arm. "Yea, you guys can watch, just don't touch her until I'm done, and that''ll be a month at the very least............. Hi pretty lil girl, I'mma teach you stuff you should know already, but I can tell you don't, but don't fret, I will teacha, free lesson." He smiles at Emilie, gripping harder on her arm.

Emily Gasped her eyes going wide like a deer caught in the head lights. Were they talking about what she thought they were? Her mind whirled about and when the first that had spoken grasped her arm, she dropped the box she had been carrying and did the only thing she could think. Her mouth opened and before she knew it she heard a ear piercing scream of horror then realized the sound she heard was her.

Joey stopped as soon as he heard the scream, dropped the papers and ran into the building, seeing this guy touching Emily made him explode with anger. "GET YOUR DAMN NASTY a** HAND OFF MY GIR..." He stopped talking but he jumped knocking the one touching her into the wall. He began to growl louder, the two others ran, the one who dared touch his ahem, was now passed out.
No blood, but hes gonna be in alot of pain when he woke up, if he did.
Joey looked back at Emily. "Are you okay?" His face was sickened by what these bastards could have don, he hoped she was ok. "I-I'm sorry you had to see that crap..."
(short but sweet, don't wanna do too much, just in case. )

She stood there, shock written all over her face. She didn't know what to think. how to act then some one came in and helped her... no not some one... Joey.. Joey ha defended her when she had needed it the most. Don't cry... She told herself mentally though she felt her eyes still wide with the shock of it all begin to moisten and warm tears to trickle down her cheeks. Before she knew it, she was collapsing against him, her small frame shuttering with heaving sobs.

Joey held her close, wrapping his tail around her. "Don't worry Emily, I gotcha, I ain't gonna let nothin happen to ya, I promist" He pet her head, seeing the tears broke his heart, what the hell is wrong with this world! He put his cheek to her cheek. "Don't be scared, don't let those scum bags make you scared. You did the right thing by screaming. I promise I won't let you outta my site, I'll protect you forever...." He kissed her softly on the cheek then continued to rub her back.

Her heaving sobs settled, soothed though her face burned with the blush his kiss had made, tears still rolled silently down her face if not or the hiccups that followed. " T-they.. they were so.. c-cruel.. heartless... Why would anyone??" Her question fell short as she tried to grasp all that he'd said to her. What would Suki think when she learned of this? Would she stalk them down and beat them up too? She didn't really like to see others fight but she knew that sometimes it was unavoidable. "T-thank you joey... I.. I'm sorry I didn't listen to you..." She kept her eyes on the ground, her forehead leaned against him in an attempt to hide her blush.

"It's okay Emily, the world isn't usually bad like that. I don't know what they said, but they are lucky I didn't if it caused you to scream like that." He didn't realize that the guy who had touched her slunk away. "Don't let those guys scare you, they are cowards, next time you see a bunch of guys, don't go near them, especially if they are creepy" He hugged her tight, then made her look at him. "Don't feel this was your fault ever. There is no way you could have expected it to that extreme. I never even thought it would, well I'm guessing because of your scream. You are very special to me, so I'm gonna spend my time as being your personal bodyguard." He kissed her nose then hugged her tight again. "You will never have to worry about this again."

She fell quiet, letting this all sink in further. "I know the world isn't all this bad... It's just... They were so mean.. T-they said t-they wanted to lock me in a r-room and... and.... " She fell silent once more as a few more tears rolled down her face. She let him hug her, be strong for her while she tried to pull herself back together. When he made her look at him, she didn't try to avoid his gaze nor did her gaze hide all that seemed to be flooding through her mind. Why would some one act so horrible? Why didn't she fight? just.. Why? "I.. I know it's not my fault butt.." Her words were cut off when he kissed her nose and her face flushed even more. "Thank you..." It was all she could say even as he hugged her to him she couldn't help but to feel at least a little happy as a small smile formed and her face burned with the blush.

"Emily, I will protect you for the rest of my life, and die before I let anything happen to you..." He thought she was so beautiful, and sweet, he never felt this way about anyone, he wanted to ask her to be his girl, but he was too shy. He secretly dreamed she would be his lifemate, have a family, train his sons to protect woman, and train his daughters in self defense. He was no pro, but he knew what worked. He decided he wanted to be with her forever. "Emily...I was wondering if you would do me the honor of becoming my lifemate, I will do everything in the world to make you happy. All I want is to be by your side for the rest of my life....." He hid his face, he was blushing, but also terrified that she would reject him. He knew she would probably say no, but what the hell?

Emily blinked and looked at him. Had he just asked her to become his lifemate? Was she dreaming? The sadness faded from her face, replaced by a smile that seemed to spread through her face and warm her eyes. "Joey... Nothing else could make me happier." Her voice was but a shy whisper as she spoke. She couldn't help but to chuckle some. "You know... We're going to have to talk about this with my moms.. let them meet you and stuff..."

"I can't wait to meet them, if they raised you, they must be great." He spoke quietly, just loud enough for the two to hear. He lifted her face up then gave her the kiss he wanted to give her the first minute he met her. He was gentle, so unlike himself, she made him feel like a better person, and the more he hung around her, he actually started to believe it. He then hugged her close to his chest, he wanted to be as close as possible. He kinda felt silly, but this felt great. "Thank you Emily....thank you."

She beamed and glanced around, almost afraid that those horrible males would try to attack once more. She then saw the box and the papers and frowned. "Hey, What do you say we find this address and then go find my moms hmm?" Her tail swished slightly. She didn't want to linger in this place, not after what had nearly happened. She felt safe with Joey but all the same.. She couldn't shake the cold feeling this place left imprinted on her.

"Okay, be right back" He felt dumb for being so, blahhh, does she think he was a wimp now? He ran, picked up the boxes and ran back. "I think I lost a few papers, but if they b***h, I'mma smack em', well not really smack them, but we could just say what happened." He jumped beside her, balancing the boxes. "I hope we find them soon, I really wanna meet your parents." He was really excited about this, meet the family of Emily. The only thing that made him sad was that he didn't have wings. He wished he did, he'd love to have flown around with her.

"I don't think they'll mind too awfully much...." She managed a small smile as she picked up the box she'd dropped. "I think My moms might like you." She chuckled as she headed for the door. "Though I warn you.. My sister Suki can be a bit much.. She's got a beautiful voice though if you ever catch her singing.. Then again.. She might be busy with Uncle Rorie learning his job..."
