A flicker of sadness passed before her eyes. She knew that her own extended family had made mistakes, and she knew too that her Father had chosen to isolate his cherished children from them for that very reason. She would have to speak with him about this, when she returned... after all, she was old enough now to understand the pain that comes with betrayal- even if she was still young enough to think mending hearts that had managed to survive the destruction of hope was a simple matter.
When she thought of her 'family,' she thought of her siblings and parents... but her bloodline extended far beyond that.
"It may not be possible to change one's bloodline, but it is possible to alter that of one's potential children." It seemed strange, to have so much control over the life of another... especially one who was not yet born.
If only...
Hearing his wistful tone, she glanced at his wings and then back into his eyes. She felt a pang of sadness that she had not been born with wings, so that she might fly alongside beloved Nukido. "I may not have the physical ability of flight, but being with you makes my heart soar." She could not imagine wishing for anything more.
She promised herself, then and there, that she would not tether her winged mate. If ever he wished to fly, she would not allow him to stay grounded merely to remain at her side. Though she would miss his touch, she knew that he would return- and that made small absences alright.
"You shall meet them, as I shall yours- all in time." They just had to find them first!
She glanced at the sky in surprise, gazing at the setting sun. Would their lives pass by like this? So quick, so fast- were they so enamored that time would pass them by so hastily? Would any amount of time be enough?
She ignored the nagging reminders that it was not proper for a young mare to spend the night with a stallion she had just met, justifying her blatant ignorance of tradition with the feelings they shared- surely such silly rules were not meant for soul-mates! "I would be most pleased to spend the night with you..." She sniffed the air, seeking any hints of rain; she did not know whether they should attempt to find shelter, and the weather would do wonders towards making that decision for them.
"Oh... I hope I am not intruding upon any plans you may have had." She glanced at him in concern, worrying that he would set them aside to spend more time with her (as she would, if she had made any plans beyond traveling.)

Titan knew that his mother had little family. She grew up with her brother and they survived that way. Somehow he could not help but think what if she was wrong? What if there were other family members she did not know about? Could that be possible? Now more than ever he longed to know if there was anyone else on her side..was there someone else he could meet? Someone else he could bring his mate to?
"I would never change my parent..i would never wish that..then i would loose everything i have ever loved..including you" he nods "Foals..the thought of them..it makes my heart soar..' he smiles at her hoping for a family one day
"Someday you will fly..You will soar without wings" He looks to the sky "I can make you that promise..I will take you to the top of a mountain so it feels as if you are flying..My father often took off into the skies..he would leave my mother wondering when he was coming back.."
shaking his mane out he once again feels the wind though his wings. He would not do that to her..never she would always know where he was and when he was returning..she would never have to guess she would always know. He looks to the sky again wishing to stay with her..
"My dear..You would never intrude on my plans..I have none but for you" he laughs and nods "I to would be more than happy to stay with you for the night"
He slowly starts walking hoping to find a nice spot to lay down for the night. It would be the best night he had for ages..

She silently approved of his sentiment, pleased by his reflections upon the matter of family. There were some things that should not be changed, even if through some twist of fate they could be altered.
She found the thought of children vaguely intimidating... to be so blessed, yet worry over their safety and moods, to wish for them eternal happiness while knowing that such a state is impossible if one looks at the world and sees a tree for a tree and a creature for a creature. To bring life into this imperfect world...
Yet, strangely- or perhaps it was not so strange, given her heart's quiet contentment- she did not find the thought of bearing his foals intimidating. She knew that they could last through anything together.
"Thank you..." she paused, nuzzling him fondly and reveling in her ability to do so before moving once more by his side. "I would like to know that which gives you pleasure." She had never thought to stand upon a mountain to feel as if one was flying.... just another surprise this day had in store.
Her ears perked as she spotted a quiet grove not far from where them. It seemed secluded, sheltered enough for a night's rest but not so dark that they could not see each other by the light of the moon. The forest floor would be softer than any cave...
She indicated it with her nose, tendrils of silken mane shimmering softly at the subdued movement.

He felt the end of the long day now more than ever. Meeting her had brought forth things he had never known..he was exhausted but not letting it show. The day had held much excitement and he needed his rest to take on a new day with his mate forever by his side. He was still walking before halting starting to fall asleep on his feet. Shaking himself awake he looked behind him and then pushed onward content. His mind needed rest after all the thinking all the planning..the future..a family..foals..everything would come in time.
"Your welcome..Now then..we must rest im falling asleep on my feet!" he smiles at her laughing softly "If we do not hurry i may just fall over" shaking out his long mane he takes the time to observe her features in the moonlight "You are even more beautiful at night.."
He watched her carefully noticing her gesture he looked that way and noticed a nice spot to rest for the night. With heavy hoof falls he slowly makes his way over to the clearing intending to lay down. Tucking his wings in he slowly lowers himself and waits to feel..her by his side..now and forever..
Forever in life and death
Forever mates forever love
What could ever break such bonds?
Bonds that were love at first sight?
