"Aria seems pretty sane, what little I've seen of her," Jordan pointed out. "Yeah - I ended up throwing the box into one of the biohazard disposal cans in the infirmary." He'd be lying if he said he hadn't thought about the practical application of mysterious cookies, but then he'd remembered what had happened to Dakota, and he'd decided that the things were just too dangerous to be used for prank purposes.
He wasn't expecting Ariane to attack in return before she'd even gotten up, and the chain wrapped firmly around Jordan's legs and knocked him to the ground, impact knocking the breath out of him and making him see stars. The constriction around his legs vanished as Ariane called Kintama back to her hand, but it was another few moments before he could push himself back to his feet, winded but grinning. "Pretty impressive yourself."
Of course she recognizes how awesome I am, Ferros preened, coherent again now that he'd released his charge.
You've got an ego on you, Jordan said, amused.
He took a few steps closer, stopping just out of range to catch his breath and wait for Ariane to likewise recover.

impressive, alright!>
"Thank you, thank you," She grinned and did a curtsy, taking a few tentative steps forward; she wouldn't be able to last much longer, and she had a feeling that it was the same for Jordan. Hopefully, anyway. Inhaling deeply, she held it for a few seconds before exhaling and charging in Jordan's direction with little warning, weapon at her side.
"Aria? Never really-" She took a quick side step, bringing Kintama down on the back of his knee, trying to get him down, "-interacted with her, apart from that one mission."

The slam of Kintama's ball into the back of his knee folded his leg neatly, and Jordan went down to one knee; he lashed Ferros out sideways in a rapid sweep at Ariane's ankles before he pushed himself back up. He was tiring, and he could feel Ferros's shield weakening. He'd have a nice collection of bruises on his legs after this spar. That was no more than he tended to inflict on others, though. It didn't bother him.
"That wasn't really indicative," he deadpanned. "The real one seems like a decent human being, believe it or not."

She was literally swept off her feet by Jordan, quickly pushing herself off the ground before he could do anymore damage. Panting heavily, she clenched her teeth as she put her strength into her next attack, since he was within her range, aiming at the back of his legs again, hoping to keep him down.
"Really?" It wasn't that she didn't believe him, but as far as personal experiences go, most of the leaders were hard asses, "Well, that's good to know, I suppose..."

The sweep of the ball and chain across the back of his legs dropped Jordan to the ground again, and he barely avoided falling flat. A quick, wordless consultation with Ferros told him what he needed to know; he held his free hand up in surrender, letting Ferros return to ring form. "I give, I give," he said, and laughed breathlessly. "Good one."
He pushed himself up slowly and laced his fingers together, cracking his knuckles to loosen his hands up again. Then he offered Ariane his hand. "Thanks," he said.

She somehow managed to stop herself in the nick of time, pulling back at the last minute to avoid hitting her opponent, Kintama going into his desummoned form - a necklace - in a bright flash of light.
"No, thank you," She grinned, taking his hand and giving it a firm shake, "You really kept me on my toes there." She could feel the ache and bruises already.

"It was a good match," Jordan agreed, smiling. "Do it again sometime? I gotta stay sharp."

"Of course, just drop me a text anytime, and I'll be there!" She grinned, feeling rather satisfied - like she had been productive - despite the aches, "I'll see you around then, Jordan~" Her grin widened and she gave him a salute before heading towards the direction of the dorms.
A shower sounded great right now!
