Kwatoko opened his beak to make a retort but was hit by the attack and was knocked out.

Anna waited, but it seemed her opponent was knocked out. She poked him a few times with her paw, and when he didn't respond, grabbed him by the back of the neck and dragged him over to Shina, where she proudly deposited the bird in her trainer's lap.
Shina had laid back in the sweet smelling grass for just a moment, and nodded off. She was woken by something being dropped in her lap. "Wha?" Patting her lap, she encountered feathers. Feathers? She didn't have any birds. Shina peeled her eyes open, and looked down to find Anna looking smug, and a bedraggled Torchic in her lap. "Annabell! Oh my goodness, this belongs to the gentleman who just joined the caravan!" Shina looked around, but didn't see the trainer. "Anna, you can't just go beating up other people's pokemon." Shina paused. She didn't want to be too harsh. "Anna, I'm sure you battled very well. But things are different now that you are with me. You don't need to battle ever pokemon you meet." Anna just grinned toothily. Shina sighed. "Oh, come on, we have to go give the Torchic back." Shina led the way to the caravan, where she found the trainer, gave back the pokemon, and apologized profusely.
