"I'm glad you guys found your way back!" Though of course, she was positive that they would have made their way back eventually anyways. Though Amityville was pretty big, it was not so much so that one could wander around lost for hours. At least, considering that she had done a decent job at navigating around the campus when she first arrived, Xiu believed that it wasn't too bad. She was, after all, an example of someone who was usually directionally challenged.
When Thanatos opened himself up to club suggestions, the baku immediately brightened, the waving of her tail growing more excited as she beamed up at him. "Well! There's the newspaper club, and a music club...a fitness club too, I think? And there's also, um..."
She trailed off, suddenly looking sheepish. Really, the reaper didn't look like the baking type, so she wasn't sure if he would even consider the idea. Maybe he would just laugh? In either case, the worst he could say would be no. "Actually, we--Junko and I--just got our club approved. A Baking Club." She paused briefly to left this sink in before she rushed ahead, "I'm sure it'll be a lot of fun! We'll be making a lot of great stuff, and there will be little contests and prizes too! A lot of boils have signed up as well." The last part was tacked on as a little just in case, as she knew that a lot of people tended to see baking as a ghoul's hobby.
There was a pause, and then she turned to look at Biskoto to offer the serpent another affection pat on the head. "And Biskoto would be welcome as well, of course!" Despite her eagerness, the last thing she wanted to do was to actually force him to join. No, if it sounded like something he was interested in, then she could talk to Junko and see if he could just drop in on the first day and see how things panned out. And if he wasn't interested? Then that was that, and she wasn't going to press the matter any more.

As Thanatos' roleplayer had recently decided that he had a sweet tooth, the reaper looked extremely interested at the Baku's offer; it wasn't like he knew how to bake - not really - but a baking club meant that he would get to eat confectioneries, fresh from the oven... That was pretty tempting. He might even get to try a bit of the icing, and other things! However...
"I'm afraid I'm not much of a baker-"
"-And I'm probably more prone to ussssing your oven as a heat lamp than doing anything elsssse, darling-" Biskoto added sheepishly.
"But if there's a taster position, I'm all for it!" He laughed, shaking his head, "I do enjoy confectioneries, but I've never thought about making them myself."

Despite the fact she had expected the answer, the baku couldn't help but droop ever so slightly as the offer to join was gently rejected. What a pity--it would have been so much fun with the two of them around, she was certain! And--
Wait, taster position? At once, Xiu's crestfallen expression disappeared, replaced by bright eyes and a hopeful smile. "Actually! If you're interested, there are positions for tasters! I...I could certainly sign you up for that if you'd like?" Of course, in addition to the tasty sweets that he would undoubtedly be asked to taste, there would probably be...less than savory creations that Thanatos would have to take a bite of as well. After all, that's what a taster did--tasted things.
"If I may ask, what kinds of things do you eat, Biskoto?" Curious, she turned her gaze to the snake. It wasn't as if they were only going to make sweet things in the club, after all. There were plenty of savory dishes that could be made through baking as well, including some simple ones that the serpent may enjoy. That being said...Xiu wasn't sure if she actually ate cooked food, or if she preferred her meat raw.
...The baku decided to push away the thought that she had almost been eaten to the back of her mind again. Though she had definitely forgiven Biskoto and was 100% okay with her, it had still been an unnerving experience.

"Awwww-" Biskoto took one look at how sad Xiu was, and looked almost as sad; she didn't want to disappoint the nice ghoul, but there was no use pushing Thanatos to join something he had no interest in! He would probably... Well, not turn up. Thanatos, on the other hand, didn't seem to be affected at all, although when the option of a taster was offered, he looked mildly amused.
He really wasn't expecting that.
"Sure, why not," He grinned, chuckling lightly, leaning down so that he was more at eye level with her, "Sounds like it would be quite an interesting experience... Besides, who am I to say no to such a cute ghoul such as yourself? I would hate to disappoint you yet again." His grin widened before he straightened up, "Is there a way for me to check the club details?"
When Xiu seemed to perk up, the snake gave her a quick nuzzle, just to ensure that she was feeling fine again, before pausing at the question... For a long time.
"... I like my food fressssh," As fresh as the memory of almost eating the poor ghoul was, which might be why she sounded sheepish as she looked away, "I'm afraid that any baked goodsss would just make me ill, darling... Ssssuch a pity, for I would love to tassste ssssomething made by you."

How fortunate it was that they actually had taster positions! As Xiu had the mindset of "the more the merrier", she was certain that it would be fun having the boil in the club, if only as a taster.
..........because, you know, it might be amusing to gauge his reactions if he had to eat something particularly...different.
The baku beamed up at him, her tail swishing behind her at lightning speed."Yay, Thanatos! For club details...do you have a squeemail address? I can send you everything if you'd like." Including the first meeting date and time, once that was planned out. With so much happening lately and with the club only just being accepted, she and Junko really had to sit down sometime to plan everything out.
Biskoto's nuzzle was met with an affectionate pet, though the serpent's long pause puzzled her. Xiu was about to open her mouth and say something when the familiar finally spoke.
"Aww--that's alright! Maybe I can pick up something fresh for you at the market when I go shopping for ingredients for the club." Buuut, until then, there was a lot of planning to do! And speaking of planning, since she hadn't been doing much today anyways...perhaps now would be a good time to discuss the club with Junko? Tapping her lips thoughtfully, she dug through her obi until she found her eyephone.
She held the object out to the reaper and smiled. "If you have a phone number or a squeemail, mind if I ask for them? I can contact you with the details about the club later on!"

"That's an interesting indirect way of asking a boil for his number," He chuckled with a grin, clearly teasing as he took the eyephone, typing in his number and saving it as 'Thanatos' before returning it to its owner, "Just drop me a text, but be sure to put your name down." Or he might just ignore or delete the text.
"Ah, Xiu," He decided to interject at that point in the conversation between his familiar and the Baku, "I hope you realize that by 'fresh', she meant 'alive'? It seems like some people have issues with that." He sounded all too cheerful as he said that, "She just adores Kushi-Kushis, don't you?"
The snake looked almost embarrassed as she nodded, "They do make for a good ssssnack..."

The reaper received a blank stare at his comment, but this was quickly followed up by the baku puffing out her cheeks. "Wait a minute, I didn't mean--" There was a pause, and then, pffffft--she let the air deflate from her cheeks. Did she know a lot of boils who liked to tease, or was she just that easy to poke good-humoured fun at? Whatever was the case, Xiu simplu shook her head, the corners of her lips quirking up in a smile as she took her phone back. "Indirect or not, it worked, didn't it?" Her voice was bright and cheerful, smile growing into a grin.
...A grin that faltered slightly at the revelation that fresh meant live. Oh. Oops.
"Oh, well, um..." Looking thoughtful, she scratched her cheek, "I could...always drop by a mini store sometime, maybe? It wouldn't be too much trouble." So long as she didn't have to see it, then she would be okay, right?
Turning to look at Biskoto, she grinned, crouching down by the snake. "Aw, don't look so embarrassed! I mean...I eat dreams and nightmares. That's pretty weird, right?" At least the serpent's diet was a little more normal, even among the students. Xiu was certain that there were more students that ate things live than ones that ate things like dreams.
She took a quick look at her phone for the time then, humming thoughtfully before sliding it back into her obi. She'd better get going if she wanted to head to the monster dorms to plot baking club stuff. Smiling, she straightened up, gesturing towards the stairs. "Anyways! I'd better get going now--I want to talk to my friend so that we can get the baking club up as soon as possible!"

"That it did," His grin widened as he chuckled, "You don't have to if it makes you uncomfortable~" He was sure that Biskoto would be troubled by it otherwise, which meant that she would make all the horrified and sad snake faces at him, which he would rather avoid.
"Dreamssss and nightmaressss? That's a fasssscinating diet!" She had actually never heard of anyone who could eat those before, and judging from the look on Thanatos' face, neither did he, "You'll have to tell me about it another time!"
When Xiu excused herself, he grinned, pausing only to pick up his familiar from the ground, "Another time... For now, see you around." Watching her disappear down the corridor, he then returned to his room.
