Painite remembered her own corruption, and smiled. She knew just what the other girl was going through, but she couldn't let herself be distracted by thoughts and memories. If she let her Chaos go unchecked, she'd create a Youma and spoil a perfectly good recruit.
And that would just ruin her day.
Pulling her hand back, she smiled at the new Negaverse lieutenant, nodding her head as she looked the other up and down approvingly. She had to admit, kids these days were getting some cool and interesting outfits. Not that she was jealous, as she found her own perfectly fitting. But still, just one more fun part about her duty as a General was waking these guys up and just seeing what they were wearing.
And what their first weapons were.
"Welcome to the Negaverse, Lieutenant. That power you feel in you is the Chaos I've given you, awakened in you. Your name is new, and you'll know it if you think for a second. I'm General Painite." She curtsied then, polite as ever now that she had finished the hardest part of the interaction. She was winded and tired, but she hid it well enough.

She took another look at her new clothes, then glanced back up to General Painite, brows furrowed. Lieutenant? Well, that was one hell of a title. Chaos…well, the power felt good, that was for sure. “General Painite…” Yes, clearly this woman had a lot more power than she appeared to, and now…Now Marybeth had power too.
Slowly a smile crept across the girl’s face and she nodded, deciding that she did in fact like this new power, and the outfit that came along with it. And hell, if it was a one way ticket to insanity, so be it. At least she would look good doing it. Thinking for a moment, she nodded once more. “Mesolite. My name is Lieutenant Mesolite, at your service…General.” She gave a little curtsy of her own, though found it just a bit difficult in the pencil skirt that she wore.
“So. The Negaverse, hm? Mind explaining that one to me, General?”

"Mesolite. Adorable."
Painite smiled brightly, her demeanor different now. She was warm, welcoming, and very nearly giving in to the urge to hug the new Lieutenant. But she refrained, to keep some manner of respect about her. She had been playing a very specific role, after all, and she couldn't just blow it all now. Her smile was authentic, though, and her eyes were no longer malicious or even that thoughtful.
She'd seen what she wanted to see, done what she wanted to do, and was very happy with the results.
"The Negaverse, ah. You'll find there's nothing like it, nothing you've ever experienced. We're a military, a family. We work together, to drive the senshi that have taken over our planet, and anyone that shares in the virus we call Order, out of our home. We serve each other, and our superiors, and we fulfill our duties as they're assigned. But there's always room for fun, too."
The coy look on her face suggested she often found time for fun.
"I'll help you, I'll train you if you wish it. You don't have to serve me, of course, there are plenty of Captains and Generals out there looking for Lieutenants, and you'll be better off if you learn from everyone you can. This is a war we're fighting, and wars aren't without their dangers. But I wouldn't have offered you this chance if I didn't think you could take it."

Mesolite listened and nodded, seeming more and more eager as Painite finished each sentence. “Well, I very much appreciate the chance you have given me, and I do hope that I am not a disappointment to you, General. I assure you, I’ll do what is needed to be done, and I will very much help to drive those who are infected with the…what did you call it again? Order?”
She looked down at her paperclip chain, the thing she supposed was her weapon, though, it didn’t seem nearly as impressive as the General’s spear. “May I ask…is this a joke? These paperclips? Or do we all start out with paperclips?” She hesitated. They were rather pretty after all. Maybe they were just a uniform accessory. “Or should I wear them as a bracelet, perhaps that’s why I have them.”
The Lieutenant hooked the paperclips around her wrist and admired them for a moment. “I’m assuming I get my spear later on, then? Do we all get spears?”

"I have no doubt that you will live up to my expectations," Painite said smoothly, smiling at her new little minion. In her mind, at least, but then, she had been at this a long time. And in a way, they were all her minions, and her allies, and her superiors. It all just depended on the situation, and the role she was playing at the time. She was malleable in that way, and never bored.
"I'll help you, as well. I will meet you again and we'll start training, alright? And you can find others, other members of the Negaverse, to help guide you as well. Find your place, and what feels best to you."
For Painite, this was it. She loved draining energy and fighting Senshi. She adored that last part, actually, attacking the White Moon and destroying them with skillful plots and wicked strength. She was very proud of herself for her Order Slaying capabilities. But awakening new members, and seeing them flourish and grow, really brought that burn of pride to her chest.
"No, they're not a joke." She summoned her weapon to her hand, smiling at the staff and preening a bit because of it. "You'll get a better weapon the stronger you get. Just another reason to strive, and work as hard as you can. If you prove yourself, you will be rewarded with new power, and rank. Anyway, those paperclips are your only weapon at the moment, so I suggest you learn to use them, or learn to fight bare handed and with your wits. I don't know what your weapon will be, every weapon is personal. It's connected to you."

Mesolite nodded, looking down at her paperclips once more, and finally giving a grin about them. They would get better, just as she would. She continued to nod and looked at her General with an expression that was nearly akin to worship. I look forward to training with you, General. It will be fun. I promise, I’ll be the very best that I can be, I will make you proud.”
She couldn’t not fulfill that promise. Painite was a very charismatic woman, and Marybeth, no, Mesolite really admired charismatic women. “I should be going now though. We will have to meet up again, I hope to see you some time, and I hope to have a better weapon very soon.”
The newly recruited lieutenant stayed where she was, just in case Painite had any last minute instructions to give, if not, she was completely prepared to head home and begin planning for this new chapter in her life. Lithia_Brandon I think we could end it with this unless Painite would like to say something more!
