aimless writing in the night
my eyelids heavy with sleep
yet i choose not to rest
it isn't as if anyone cares
to even hear
what i have to say
a slow
and sleep inducing song plays
my headphones fill with the tune
and my eyes grow weary
sleep will take me soon
and i will welcome it
with open arms
