He laughed, idly stroking his chin, looking amused at the way she phrased her sentence, "Even the most stubborn of men, huh? I know a couple of people who could be described as such." Namely the people in his family, filled with stubborn pride after so many generations... Then again, that's what made his life more interesting. However, now that she had described a mermaid's singing voice that way, he was even more curious about how entrancing it must be.
"I'm sure you'll be better than them in time to come, but only if you believe that you can," He hummed, looking around; didn't they just walk past that plant a few minutes ago, or was he just imagining things? He sounded distant as he tried to figure it out, "Aren't there music classes, or something to that effect, in a school such as this?" It was one of the best in Halloween, after all... You would expect them to offer a wide variety of classes.
"Oh? You wouldn't?" He grinned at her before leaning over, giving her a wink as his grin widened, "Good to know that you're already that attached to me!" His tone was teasing thought, and he soon continued to look around, starting to notice that... They were nowhere near the exit.
"Cute? Oh, Amphi darling! You're the firssst ghoul to ever call Than cute!" She whispered back, not sure what to make of that, because she was looking more for 'egoistic' or even 'shameless' and 'thick-skinned', "I love him, but he'ssss ssssuch a boil, and you know how ssssilly boilsss can be! In fact, he might not be ssssaying it, but you turning him down probably hurt his ego quite a bit!"
Yes, Thanatos was indeed a little disappointed.
By the time Amphi (sort of) admitted that they had been walking in the wrong direction after all, he was staring at her and Biskoto, one eye brow raised as he finally realized that they were having some kind of a conversation without him, "What are you ghouls whispering about over there?"

"Well....I know a man now..." She turned her eye up at him before looking away. "I only kid. I don't think your stubborn...I think." She chuckled to herself before thinking of what she DID assume the boil to be like. As far as she got right now...he was flirty. Not like adorable Sparrow flirty but...Oh and not Mac flirty either. In fact, Thanatos acted...no well she couldn't compare them to the only two boil flirts she knew after all.
"Perhaps." she didn't want to dwell at the mention of her sisters. While she had told Xiu and Lizzy of the power that comes at the price of being the strongest voice over mermaids. "I haven't seen any really? There has been a rise of um....There has been a rise of events that I think stopped a lot of the classes...." She frowned, "I think I was too caught up in them to actually think of doing more classes!" She gasped and sighed. "I think I'll need to look around again." Well there was some motivation to be a good student, instead of running around being caught by hunters.
Amphi looked over to Biskoto again before flushing. "I didn't mean...Really the only one? No wait, I meant...No wait. Not cute like that. I mean no....he is very handsome...." Amphi just quieted off now before she made a fool of herself, "Hmmm? I do...I grew up with girls and the only boils I really know are....friends I guess. Though Mac was kinda of moody I guess?" She kept her whispering low for Biskoto to hear. "But, I don't know Biskoto, why would me turning him down hurt his...Ego?.....He doesn't seem like I hurt him...." Looking at him, he seemed downright cheerful after all.
With her mind muddled over the fact of how she could just...not hurt anyone, she jumped when he addressed her before looking away...WITH A GUILTY LOOK NONE THE LESS, from him. "I ah...We were ah...discussing uh..."
