Bix frowned and looked at Gale as he tucked the sample away. "Cranky much?"
The albino hunter was worried about his younger friend. Besides immediately after the 'kid' incident, Gale had been particularly sullen and snappy lately. It used to be fun to rib him and egg on his annoyance but he was starting to feel like Gale was genuinely aggressive and he wasn't sure about it.
Was it too invasive to try and talk to him? Would Gale talk back?
Bix just gave a worried look at Before. Hopefully his bro could also see Gale's slight attitude shift?
"Well there's no sign of any 'stuff'." Bix toed the dirt. "Has to be sort of fresh though. I don't think they would stay like this for long with wind, rain, and wild animals around."

Before shuddered at the thought that this whole thing had been a recent event. "Guh, what is wrong with some people," he muttered, getting down on his stomach so he could take a closer look at one of the graves. The next time he turned to look at his Bros, Gale had summoned his partner.
"Hey, After, why'd you-" Before began, rising to his feet only to feel the soil beneath him shift and hear his boot step on something. Curiously, he began to dig it up and found "Duuuuuuuuuuudes! Lookit! A pocket watch! Huh. Looks old, like something my grandfather would have used."

"I am not," said Gale stiffly, wincing as he hobbled over to Before with the intent of looking completely normal and failing miserably. "cranky."

"A pocket watch?" said Gale, and leaned down, brushing a thumb across the screen. "It looks kinda...old. And used..."
But once again, his eyes were drawn away, his eyes flickering towards the shadowy figure on the hill. It was still there, swaying in the dark, and carrying what could only be described as a parasol of sorts.
"Are you sure you guys don't see that?"

"Cool.." Bix moved to Before and looked over the watch with him. He pulled out a sample bag and handed it to him. "Best put it with the rest of the evidence I think."
When the hobbling younger hunter beckoned his attention, Bix also looked up. "Yeah! I saw it! You know this is the second time.. I went on a mission with Cass and we kept seeing a figure too but it was too far away." Investigating the graveyard was the limit of their mission. They weren't allowed to pursue anything.
"This is lame.." He frowned and continued to poke things with his toe around the empty grave sites.

The former Lifer stuffed the watch in the bag Bix held out, it seemed like something the techs in the Life Labs might like to take a gander at. And if it turned out it was nothing special, well, maybe he could ask if he could keep it for himself 83 What?! It was neat-looking ;;
"Maybe it belonged to one of the peeps that used to be in the graves?" he suggested, taking one last look at his feet. You know. Just in case more stuff was actually buried. But nope, all there seemed to be was more of the dead-root-things that Bix had already collected samples of. "Huh. What kind of plants grow in graveyards, though? I wouldathunk there'd be just grass and fungus and some trees..." he mused. Eventually all this musing had the Misty acting antsy as he turned to his bros, "Let's head back, don't think we'll be finding anything else here."
