Calder took her mute silence as acceptance and helped Christof over to the couch. He never liked when Christof never sat with them, as if he wasn't good enough to just rest on the couch. When settled, Calder fetched the brush from the bathroom (Really, Barth. ONE brush?!) and returned with some ribbons before sitting beside the Igor. Her chest brushed up against the Igor's hump and Calder frowned, notcing that she couldn't reach out for her hair like she normally would with everyone else. She tried, reaching around the Igor and pressing against her back, before pulling away.
"Braiding from the front it is." She said, and positioned them again to be in front of Christof, and took a lock of her hair and softly started to brush it. "So......do you think the Hunters changed us or the Horsemen? They both have strange magic?" And they were there.

"The humans were almost crushed to death with the rest of us. Can't say I'd be sorry to see the end of some of them. ...Both have access to the campus. But crushing amounts of gravity is a...Conquest sort of ability. Kneeling, and so forth. You heard him. He pronounced us unworthy."
Barth sank into the sofa.
"Worse, it means we've got three more rounds of judging to weather. I don't know what's worse, failing or passing."

Christof just sat sullenly, letting Calder do her work as she took in the discussion. Three more tests? Tests like this one? How was this a TEST? Miniature humans and crushing and... and... breasts. This was a sick joke, he conceded, bowing his head miserably as Calder brushed.

"Three more tests? That's awful for a bunch of horsemen. Horse. Men. To be associated with that name." Her ears turned back just thinking about it. "You'd think they would just HELP us. We're on their side. We're their people. Sure, not horsemen, but still from this same world. The hunters are going after all of us. With that power, you'd think they would just take care of it or offer to fight for us, but to test us? Seems ....STUPID to me!" She continued to brush before starting to dividing Christof's hair into three separate locks and started to braid.
"And what if we fail? They just prance off to their own home and let honest Halloween people get turned into weapons? That's just wrong. Let's hope the others have more sense than Conquest."

"Their people? Imagine, for a moment, you have a very powerful explosive device. A bomb. Would you prefer to have that bomb as your enemy, set on destroying you? Or would you prefer to have it in your living room, and at your table, and hanging about your house?"
Barth frowned.
"Either way... I doubt this is about the weaponization business. It's too...small scale for them. Their heirs were stuck on that island for who knows how long, and what did they care? Hell help us now that Amityville has their attention."
