Aras nodded. "East. I'm not holding my breath for anything. They're quite rare to find." This was true, as far as he knew only humans and certain soquili with claws could successfully make instruments. He had thought of finding a clawed soquili to make him an instrument, but the only ones he had heard of were those belonging to the flock and the rumors scared him a little.
Humming as he walked, Aras smiled. "It'll be a nice walk, even if we don't find anything."

Harumi thinks about it a bit as she wonders where would be best to find some. "My Kiwani." She shakes her head a bit "The human twins who take care of me from time to time. They live in the east. We could find some there maybe." She points out as she prances in place and then continues to follow him. "Oh yes very enjoyable. I think it will become wonderful memories." The tambourine still on her back and as she prances it jiggles sweet sounds with her movements.
She closes her eyes a bit listening to him humming. Then opens her eyes so that she doesn't face plant a tree or rock. This was something that she never thought would happen. To have someone to travel with. It made her miss her old herd. Even if she was nothing but the baby sitter in the herd.

Aras stopped and pursed his lips, frowning ever so lightly. "You know, to be honest, I haven't seen many instruments besides my bells and the tambourine. I only know they're instruments when I hear the sound," he laughed sheepishly. It was true, he had seen very few instruments and those he had he was never allowed to touch, the owners too protective of them. He was the same with his bells, though for reasons more than rarity. They were precious to him; belonging to his mother. He would not give them up for anything in the world.
"I guess we'll just have to see what we can find."
He continued walking and humming that tune, glad to be in someone's company; even if he wasn't entertaining them by singing. The joy he brought to others made his heart soar.

Listening to Aras hum while they travel. "I am sure we will find more." She dances a bit to his humming as she is only a few steps behind him. She wonders about how many instruments there are out there and which ones they might come a crossed. Thinking about it made she want to see more and more. She is happy that her new friend has shown her this world of music and fun. It lighted up her world.
After all the sounds music has in it tells stories and can calm the soul.

Aras grinned. "Even if we don't, we had a lovely walk with lovely company on a lovely day."
He walked in silence for a moment, unsure of what to say. Normally he was the one answering questions, not asking them. This was a little new to him and he was.. put off by how.. terrible he was at making conversation. He put it down to most of the conversations being about himself. He decided he would try and change that, get to know this mare better.
Aras went over questions his audience had asked him. Hobbies, family, love. All generic things he should have though on his own and would have if he weren't so wrapped up in his own little world. He grinned to himself. If it wasn't such a perfect world I wouldn't stay wrapped up in it.
"So," he mumbled out awkwardly. "Do you have any family?"

Thinking about how she should answer the family question. Harumi takes a deep breath as she looks at Aras. "True it is a lovely day and sure great company is wonderful to have. As far as family goes. No I don't. My mother and father died when I was little. I was their only little one so I am alone. But that is okay. The herd took care of me until I left it. I was a Nanny and watched over the little ones of the herd while the parents were off finding food and what not." She giggles a bit. "Memories are wonderful even if they aren't happy ones."
Trotting about next to her new friend as she looks ahead of her. "How about you?" She wonders.

Aras faltered mid-step and fell silent for a moment. That was.. a little close to home for him. He'd suffer the same loss and while he had come to terms with the fact that he couldn't change anything; there was always that sting when he remembered it.
"No family. I lost my parents when I was young, too. I'm sorry for your loss. His tone was solemn, sincere and serious. "At least we weren't alone." He smiled, remembering all the soquili he'd met along his travels. "I've a mare waiting for me, too. So maybe I'll have a family of my own soon."

Harumi looks at Aras. "Thank you. I am sorry for your loss as well." She listens to him more. "That is wonderful. If you ever need a babysitter I will be more then happy to help you out when you have little ones of your own."
She smiles not knowing that after her travels with her precious friend Aras that she will become blind and lose sight of what is important like wanting a family and all seeing she will find herself as unwanted.
Though she tries not to avoid her friends even if she is blind. [[OOC ~ So odd RPing her with Sight seeing she is blind now lol]]

Aras laughed. "If they take after their mother, I'm sure they'll be a handful so I will most likely take you up on that offer." His laughter slowed to a halt and left a smile across his features. "It would be lovely for you to visit. Chepi would adore you, I'm sure."
He grinned for a second. "When you have little ones of your own, you can send them my way for payback," laughter poured from his lips once more and he continued moving forward through the forest.
"I'm beginning to think our quest will no bear any rewards."
