Thunder matched Daisy's increased speed on his own, Lavi hobbling a little in the saddle at the sudden movements before he managed to steady himself. He looked around, never having been in this part of the woods before. "Yeah, everything he does seems to be to prevent anyone to even have the chance to fall for her." He shrugged. In a way, from what he'd heard about Lenalee's history at the Order, he understood Komui's protectiveness, but he really pushed it too far most of the time.
"Hm, Lenalee is..." He mused on that question, smiling a little at the thought of his friend. "She's a really sweet girl... cares a lot for her friends, they're the world to her. It's really a shame her brother is quite so insane... "

"My name is Soma. Nice to meet you as well." he responded. Luckily, she hadn't kept him waiting long. It wouldn't be much of a date if he didn't have to wait on the lady at least a little. "Nice place you've chosen. There food is great. Shall we?" He held the door open for her. After she entered, they approached the hostess. While they waited, Soma glanced over and took note of her kimono. It was something you didn't see every day. Originality was always a plus. A smirk flickered across his lips. There was hope of having a good time tonight. He just hoped she could keep up.
((Sorry, I have to go to class soon. We should be able to pick back up later if you're up for it.))

Mizaka smiled as she entered the restaurant. Politeness from a young man was always a good sign.
"Yes, I sometimes come over here for lunch. Thought it would be a nice spot for a date." She bowed before the hostess, who guided them to a table next to the fountain. After taking her seat, Mizaka took the menu and flipped though the pages. "I highly recommend the noodles. They're the best I've tasted, if I say so myself."
((Not a problem. If not tonight, we'll just pick it up tomorrow.))

Kiah half listened to Lavi's answer, concentrating on where they would need to go to get to the area where they'd have their picnic. "Too bad I've never met her... She sounds like someone I'd get along with. Alright, we're turning here." She proceeded to turn to the right, going through the more dense section of pinetrees slowly and carefully. She pat Daisy calmingly when she snorted at the tight fit, and urged her on into a small clearing.
The weeds that had fallen to the ground were still a sickly looking brown from winter, though the grass had started to take on a healthy green color, along with a few early flowers. The sun was shining brightly through the break in the trees, highlighting a large stump in the middle of the clearing that could be used as a make shift table. There was a large tree that they could tie the horses to with a bale of hay underneath, the only thing that looked odd in a place otherwise untouched.
"What do you think?" Kiah whispered, turning around and giving Lavi a beaming smile. Ever since she'd found the place, she'd taken to staying quiet and enjoying the silence the trees provided by keeping most of the wind out, though she supposed that it wouldn't be very fun if they had to whisper the whole time. "I don't think anyone's been around here in years, besides us." She hopped off Daisy and secured her to the tree, making sure she had enough space to move comfortably, and grabbed the basket. Setting it on the stump, she carefully dug out the blanket and spread it out so they could sit down. She covered the top of the stump with a tablecloth and started pulling the large amount of food and beverages out, almost needing all of the space provided to fit everything. "Okay, all done!"

((I've decided to be a bad kid and skip class. Once or twice a semester isn't so awful lol))
Mizaka's mannerism pleased him. Manners themselves seemed to be a dying art form these days. He listened to her recommendation. "I think I'll have to go with the noodles then. I usually just cycle through the same three dishes. Something new sounds like fun." Soma stated, letting spontaneity take the wheel. "I couldn't help but notice your dress. It's very flattering, for lack of a better word."

((LOL we all have our days when we just can't handle class.))
"Thank you." Mizaka grinned at the compliment. "I prefer wearing kimonos since they remind me of my homeland. You're finely dressed as well." A waitress had walked up to them and Mizaka ordered her dish, along with a cup of green tea. Folding her hands, Mizaka sat quietly for a few seconds, feeling content with how things were going so far. A sudden frown appeared on her face and the young girl turned in her seat to look at a window behind her. Seeing nothing there, she turned back to Soma. "Sorry. I thought there was something behind me..."
Outside of the restaurant, Jack hid in the shrubbery, watching Mizaka and Soma closely.
I swear, if that fellow steps out of line, I'll make him wish he was never born... thought the Spirit bitterly as he caressed his knife.

((I really don't have the drive to go today. It was only one class anyway.))
"You're welcome. I must give credit where credit is due." he responded "Thank" you. Soma strained his posture at the sign of her frown. As she turned her head, his eyebrows knotted and he followed her gaze. As she turned back around, Soma's expression shifted to concern. "Everything ok?"

"Yeah, everything's okay." Mizaka motioned her hand to let him know it was nothing to worry about. "It's probably just my imagination." Still, that odd feeling that someone was watching them didn't go away and her hand began to rest on where her bat was hidden away in her clothing. "So, tell me about yourself. Where are you from, what do you do, the usual stuff." The waitress had reappeared with their food.

As reassuring as Mizaka was, Soma's glare at the window once more. His eyes lingered there for a moment. The staring contest was interrupted by her question. "Lately, I've been traveling. Mostly looking for the right place to call home. As for where I'm from, my journey started in Philadelphia." Everything he said was true. Mostly at least. "What about yourself? You said your kimono reminds you of home. Where is that exactly?" he asked with genuine interest.

Mizaka picked up her chopsticks and poked at her hot noodles.
"Oh, so you're from America? I've been there once in Chicago. It was a nice city." Though heavily populated with Spirits. Mizaka didn't say that last sentence out loud. She looked up at Soma when he showed genuine interest in her backstory. "I was born on an island not far from Japan. My parents died when I was young, so my grandfather raised me all by himself." She let out a sigh as she remembered her previous life. "Although the old man meant well, some of his parental techniques would be considered...questionable if they were ever brought to light to child services..."

Soma listened intently. "...I see. Well, you seemed to turn out alright. I feel like parents are too light with their kids these days. It seems like these younglings are borderline heathens!" he caught himself before he got swept away by his rant. "Excuse me. I almost got carried away." Soma picked up his utensil and stirred the contents of his bowl methodically. Satisfied, he served himself the first bite.

Mizaka let out a small chuckle.
"That's quite alright. I'm not too fond of children myself, and I also feel that some of them need to be taught a lesson." She slurped on her cooled down noodles and savored every bite. "Good, isn't it?"
Meanwhile, Jack continued with his watchful lookout.
That's right, enjoy your food. It'll be the last thing you'll ever eat if you do anything funny...

"That they are! I don't know how I never had these before. I've been missing out all this time." he responded. As he finished his statement, Soma could have sworn he saw something move in the bush. His eyes darted straight to where he saw the motion. This instance made him feel as if he was being watched. He began to put up his guard, taking a glance at the bush with every bite he took of his meal.

(( PLANS CHANGED A LOT. Liv is now going on her date with a totally new character! 8D ))
Liv was dressed to impress, as usual. Her golden locks were cascading over her shoulders, left down to flow about her. She had a cute little hat atop her head, which matched her outfit and even had a small feather sticking from it. Her blouse was a silken, ruffled garment, a nice pink color for the occasion. Her deep, red skirt was high-waisted with cute buttons, and was shorter in the front than in the back; It was very fashionable. Her legs were revealed from the front, masked only by a thin layer of thigh-high stockings. The stockings also matched her clothes, and had a heart pattern on them. On her feet she wore fancy white and black Victorian boots with buttons up the side. She didn't carry anything that could be seen, except for a small, heart-shaped box of chocolates which she had brought along for her mystery date.
Earlier in the day she had written the location of La Luna down in a nice card. As instructed, she had given it to the Finder she assumed would deliver the address to her date. She waited outside the fancy, French restaurant, looking up at its tall windows. It was a very nice place, one of the fanciest in town. It had exquisite French cuisine, but also had things on the menu which would cater to most tastes, should French not be appetizing. Being that the restaurant was in London after all, it had to cater to the main population as well. She thought about what dishes she might try, and wondered if it would be better she stick to something she knew she would like. She brought her gaze back down to the street as she continued to wait. She was curious about the person she would be spending the evening with, and wondered if it might be someone she had even met before.

A small, cute, old man was passing by the Chinese restaurant. He had a book under his arm and a small satchel across his chest. Turning his sights to look through the window as he passed, he noticed the cute couple slurping their noodles. He stopped abruptly and his eyes widened at the sight. Rushing in through the front doors, he brushed past the hostess and over to the table where Mizaka and Soma sat.
"Ooohh, so sweet!" he chirped, "Oh, if I may draw you...such a nice couple!"
The man immediately pulled up a chair from a nearby table, plopping his round rump down as he opened his book to a blank page. He turned his satchel around so he could reach into the pouch, and he pulled out some sketching pencils. Without even waiting for their answer, he immediately brought the paper up in front of his face as he scribbled away. Now and then he would peer over the top of his book to note a detail about one of the two.
"Oh...I used to draw a picture for my wife each Valentine's Day...she loved them so. It was a tradition after I drew a picture on our first date...I think it's what made her fall in love with me, you know..."
He continued to work on the sketch, talking from behind the book, "This year is my first without her...I wanted to do something special, so I..I've been going around drawing couples all night long!"
The sweet old man finished and grinned at his work, tearing the page from his book. He handed the paper to Mizaka and quickly rose from his seat.
"I hope you enjoy your lovely evening!" the man chirped again as he turned around and trotted from the restaurant without another word, having come and gone in what seemed like short memory.
