"Is that why you came to see me? To spend time with someone like that?" Sophia asked and sighed happily into his fur, he was so soft against her nose. She wanted to stay with him forever if possible. She was in deep, this feeling was so new to her.
"I will be your mate if you want. I would like to be able to call you mine." She said and peek up at him, almost positive that he would be scared off. Sophia knew that he was nervous about almost anything, but part of her hoped that he liked her enough to stay put in this place. . . with her. . . for just a little longer.

His tail thumped, and though his inclination was to pull away from her, the tension began to slowly recede from his body as he melted against her, sinking as though drowning in the wildflowers. "Let's not put a name to it," he said, boldly resting his chin on the back of her neck, trying to sort out the feelings that had washed over him. "Let's...just...spend these two days together. And then, if you want to come with me still, after that..."
He shrugged, and fell silent. For the first time, he had no interest in looking toward the future, not even to worry. He just wanted to enjoy a good thing while it lasted.

Sophia nodded and relaxed against the ground. He didn't run away, that was good. It made her feel better about her decision to go with him.
"Tell me about who you are leaving with, i don't think i know their names." She said and closed her eyes resting against him.

"Well. There's Novacaine. He's my cousin. He's bright pink, so you won't be able to miss him. And he's got this lynx that follows him around." He shook his head; the lynx was definitely the smarter of the duo, but rarely ever talked due to a speech impediment caused by a small deformity to its jaw. Novacaine had had the damn thing since before Fubar was born. "His whole family is crazy, more or less, but he's not. He wishes he was but he's not."
He sprawled over onto his side, then shifted around to lay on his back, scratching his back against the flowerbed. As much as he claimed to hate all these wolves, he sure seemed to enjoy talking about them.
"And then there's Aislin. I don't think she's related to me, but I'm not totally sure because she doesn't really know who her mom is. She sleeps a lot, and she's always talking about her dreams like they really happened. I don't know if she can't tell the difference, or what, but lately she seems to think the dreams are...like...prophetic. Which is why they want us all to leave."
His paws, curled up go his chest, twitched slightly.
"And then her...mate, I guess...this guy, Cumulonimbus. They call him Cue. Or Nimbus, I guess, you can call him that too. He doesn't really have any family, he just sort of got dumped here when he was a pup so the pack more or less raised him. He takes everything way too seriously and worries about everything."

"You have very interesting sounding friend, i can't wait to meet them." She said and peeked at eye open. Sophia could tell he lied to talk about his family, and that thee was more to the story.
"You are close with Novacaine aren't you?" She asked and curled closer to him enjoying the warmth from him.
"And what is she dreaming about? Aislin said you all had to leave the pack?"

He nodded. He liked talking about his family and Agua Azul, even if he didn't necessarily describe things accurately. Everything he said was usually filtered through stormy gray-colored glasses, as it were, but he definitely enjoyed gossiping. In fact, the only thing he liked better than gossip was complaining.
"We hang out. He doesn't really get along with the rest of his family. Like he hates his brother. And I don't really like anyone in my family either. So I've always spent time with him instead." He shrugged. It was strange talking to someone without a huge family. He had always taken it for granted that all wolves just lived in big packs full of cousins.
"Well. She keeps having this dream that terrible things are happening. I don't know. Cue sees...something. They're calling it a visitation. Some big ball of light in the sky that sends them messages." He shrugged, still gazing up thoughtfully at the sky. "I don't know if he's crazy or what. There's a lot of crazy wolves around here. But then, the old alpha was run out of the territory, so maybe she'll get an army and come back or something. I don't even know."

"Well i guess anything is possible right?" She said and closed her eyes, "But you are lucky that you have a large family, it just means you have more people to talk to. Though if small works for you then i guess do for it." Sophia wasn't sure if she was making any sense.
It was hard for her to talk about family when she had gone so long without one. Her mother and father were still with the pack as far as she knew and her brother and sister were off probably with pups.

"I guess..." he said, and fell silent for awhile, trying to sort out his thoughts. "I've always kind of wished my family was...you know...mine. Like, I've always thought the only way I could ever have a happy family was if it didn't know the rest of my relatives existed. You don't even know how crazy all of my relatives are."
He sighed. He did thoroughly enjoy complaining, especially complaining about his family, but there was also a serious undertone lurking beneath all of his unease.
"If I had my own pups, maybe they could grow up...normal. Or at least not crazy."

"I guess i was kinda blessed that i grew up with a semi normal family, my mother was extremely over protective though. But i would hope my pups could just be shown love above anything else." she said and peeked at him again.
"You want to leave your family completely? You should think hard before you do something like that. . . believe me." Sophia had left her family, and now didn't know where they were, or if they would even remember her, she had left as soon as she could hunt. "Its not great being alone. . . "

"Well....then it's good you're coming with me," he said, grinning a little. He nudged her shoulder, tail brushing her as it thumped. "And besides, Novacaine's coming, and he's the only guy I can stand in my whole family. Trust me, you don't even know. My mom is angry all the time and dad skipped out on us and my sisters are all...." he trailed off, and sighed. "Anyway. It's better burning it all to the ground and making a new family. New pack. Whether it's with Cue and Ais and whatever other boneheads they're bringing along...or...anywhere but here."
Cue, if he could hear him, would probably be proud to hear Fubar suddenly so eager to escape his life and start over. Not that Fubar would ever admit any of this to the others.

"Well i guess that true. . . " She said and smiled weakly, still thinking about her family. "I guess I'm ready to be with a family again, i don't want to hear people say they will stay with me then leave the next moment." Sophia said softly and buried her nose against him.
This was kinda a touchy subject for her. As he could probably tell.

"Well...people suck," he said, with a shrug. He nudged her back. "I'll make you a deal. I won't leave you, if you don't leave me." Of course, she would probably decide to bail on him, like everyone did. But he was a stubborn wolf, he would hold up his side of the bargain.

Sophia thought about it for a moment, being with him wasn't bad at all but she had yet to meet his 'pack' what is she hated them? Shaking that thought from her mind she smiled at him. "Its a deal." She wanted to stay with Fubar more than anything, so could sea with that family of his if need be.

"Deal," he echoed, crawling closer, bridging the gap between them entirely. His tail flicked against her side. Whether or not they stayed with the pack, he decided, he would be able to start a family with Sophia...and his new family would be way better than his old one. It couldn't be any worse, after all.
