[[ Hell yea. >8D ]]
She hummed again but gave Ai no response. It is here her gaze grew calculating as she sauntered away. Cetus distanced herself from Ai into the smoking section of the cafe, settling into an open table much to the disdain of the seating arranger. When staff sauntered on by to tap her upon the shoulder and kindly ask her to move, she kindly ignored them. She withdrew an item a bit bigger than her usual ciggy, a cigar for that matter, and lit the tip with a her lighter. She took a short drag, tapped the bit of ash, and continued her curious actions with a cell phone call.
A bit into her inaudible conversation, the Galactic grunt scribbled something onto a bit of napkin, rolled it neat, and sent it off with her Purrloin to deliver. The feline messenger rolled off her neck with a heavy yawn and accepted the napkin. Bounding off the table, she scuttled between many pairs of unimportant legs before settling herself onto Ai's table with a small hop. She dropped the twisted napkin and sat, in case she just so happened to send a reply.
Scrawled onto the flimsy textile was a simple message in average penmanship: It's been some time, maybe your date stood you up. It was hard to decipher what feelings were behind the message, but it certainly wasn't concern. Most likely more annoyance, just to tug at nerves s'more. A little lower, another message was scrawled: I'm sure you want to know who I am and why I'm bothering you. At least it would prompt her for a reply.

Ai angrily reached for the napkin, but Kumiko snatched it up before she could. He put it in his mouth and shook it from side to side like a dog playing with its chew toy. Ai impatiently grabbed a corner that was sticking out and yanked it out... But the rest of the napkin remained in the mew's mouth. She rolled her eyes and grabbed a napkin from her own table and pulled a pen out of her bag while her pokemon played with his new toy. Apparently Schemali was becoming his role model, something that Ai wasn't too pleased about.
Ai glanced down at her watch. It was nearing three o'clock, the perfect time for tea. Not that it's any of your business, she wrote quickly, but I arrived early. I don't care who you are, but you ARE a bother. What do you want?
She flicked the napkin at Schemali. "Here you go... thing." She never had bothered trying to memorize the names of all the different pokemon.
Just then, a waitress arrived, and Ai ordered some jasmine tea.

Schemali gripped the corner of the message between her teeth and as she turned away, she sassed her tail up in an arrogant flip at Ai. Once again, she bounded off the table and clambered through the many legs of upright primates before returning to her original destination. Cetus glanced at her Purrloin as she dropped the little letter and sat readily in case she had to run the errand again. Squishing her cell onto her shoulder to hold, she glanced at the message with her free hand, spouting smoke from the coffin nail wedged between her lips.
She read the offhand slant and sighed, drawing herself another napkin and scratching something upon it. She than stuffed it back into the mouth of her feline and turned away to chat up about something else, until a loud, "a*****e!" broke the tranquil tension of the restaurant. She slapped the communication device together and than slapped it onto the tabletop with a huff of angst. She couldn't stand that man.
Schemali plopped the balled up napkin onto Ai's table than and upon crinkling it, Ai would read: I want to help, considering your a** is on s**t street right now.

Ai would have thought that Cetus's expletive was directed at her, had she not been watching the woman the entire time. She wondered who she was talking to, but then Schemali arrived. Ai picked up the napkin gingerly, wary of cat spit. Her brows furrowed.
There was no doubt that this was a pretty shitty street, by Ai's standards, but otherwise, she couldn't make heads or tails of the message. Was it supposed to be some kind of stupid threat? Or was it a bluff? Because Ai didn't need help with anything, let alone from a complete b***h stranger.
She saw that Cetus's pokemon was still waiting, in case she had an answer to the message. "Shoo," Ai said, waving a hand at her. She would not deign that strange message with an answer; it was just a dumb prank. She crumpled the napkin up and threw it, aiming at the trash can, but she missed it by a long shot.
The redhead scowled and sipped her tea.

Schemali watched the hand swipe the air with mundane eyes, but did not budge. As a kitten and even to her current age, she had been instilled with the patience of a saint. Her philosophy towards tasks were simple: complete them until command was given, from the task's head, that her duties were complete. Than she'd be free to traverse the plains of sleep and boredom. But because Ai had not given her a letter to return, she refused to move until than.
Seeing that her little messenger was unlikely to return, Cetus raised herself from her seat and rudely pushed past customers and waiters until she stood at the foot of Ai's table. She draped a hand across the Purrloin's head and the feline lowered her ears and shut her verdant eyes shut to relish the moment.
Sliding her forefinger and middle around the cigar, she pulled from her mouth to speak. "Seems you and I have some talking to do." she said nonchalantly. "And I think you might want to take my words seriously."

"Have a seat," Ai invited, gesturing to a chair. Her voice did not share the same politeness as her words, and she was glaring, openly haughty. Apparently she was not getting rid of this unwelcome stranger until she had spoken her piece, so Ai settled in grudgingly.
Kumiko had begun to sniff at Schemali curiously, but he hid his face in Ai's hair again when Cetus approached. He tried to be secretive as he stole glances at the Galactica agent, but all he succeeded in doing was messing up Ai's hair. She was doing her best to ignore him, but it did nothing to improve the human's mood.

A thin vine of grey twirled up towards Arceus's domain as it's mother shifted herself into the seat offered. Switching herself sideways, she curved one leg over the other and silently put her thoughts into order, filing useless contemplations into manilla folders and storing them deep into the file cabinet labeled, "Will think about later." Breathing birth into another plume of smoke, Cetus glanced at Ai and smiled. "Someone's following you," she said, than chuckled a bit. "And no, it is not just me. Another person, after that lovely little floating feline curling an extra few of your locks. They're deadly. I've been hired to protect you." Her bluntness drifted off with the smoke as her speech came out as nothing more than senseless chatter. "Any questions?"

"Yes, I have a few," Ai said, narrowing her eyes in suspicion. She placed a restraining hand on Kumiko, as much to prevent him from mussing her 'do any further as to reassure herself that no one was about to snatch him away. She had been annoyed by this woman before, but now she was getting a little worried.
"First of all, who 'hired' you?" she asked, raising her eyebrows to display her disbelief that Cetus had been hired at all. That was the biggest flaw that Ai could see in what she was sure was a lie. Her parents would have informed her right away if there was any danger, so that she would be extra careful while going out. Beyond her parents, who did Ai know who could afford hired protection? She could think of a few names, but all of them would have at least sent a letter of warning to her beforehand.
Things were only getting more suspicious.

"The same people who sold your parents your Pokemon." Cetus answered. "If you haven't guessed it by now, a Mew is not a Pokemon one comes across on every quaint stroll." She took a moment to inhale a bit than release a puff of grey. "I was hired to keep an eye on, well, your Mew, and prevent any harm. But since it is overtly attached to your person, I am forced to keep an eye on your too. Business wouldn't look too keen if one of our best sales happened to be damaged merchandise, hmm? However, if you still don't believe me-" The Galactic grunt reached into her pocket, retrieved a thin wallet, and threw it absently onto the table. "My I.D. Have a look, explore for anything suspicious. It's only basic information anyway."

"Pfft," Ai snorted. "As if Team Galactic wants to stop anyone from stealing him." She kept her voice low, aware that they were in a public place. She glanced over the I.D. "Why should you care about what happens to him now? You already got your money." She felt completely lost now... Up until that point, it had made sense that Cetus was just a random would-be thief, after her rare and expensive pokemon. But no one was supposed to know about the transaction her parents had made with the secret organization. It seemed that Cetus really was part of the team... But it didn't add up, why the Galactics were suddenly so concerned over her wellfare.

"I reiterate, it's bad for business." she snubbed out her cigar with the statement as if to add her reason was final. "We're in a bit of competition and your 'rents transaction pushed our popularity through the figurative roof. They didn't like that, our competition, and have become a bit hostile. They're attacking our customers as an act of intimidation. "Either buy from us or we'll kill you." That's the message they're sending." Schemali yawned. "What happens to you, I don't care. It's your precious Mew I'm to keep track of, as per my commander's orders. But if you don't want a knife in your gullet from an unknown assailant, I think you'd trust what I'm saying . . . and trust me as well. Any more questions?" It was a hard ticket to play, but gaining the girl's trust would surely give her an upper hand in this mission. If she made it through, though, was something she had to question.

Ai still wasn't entirely convinced. Her parents had connections all over the place... Wouldn't they have warned her if they had picked up that customers of Team Galactic were getting knifed? Such things should have turned up in the news, too... Then again, the underground team probably had an even more extensive network of spies, and perhaps they had caught wind of the plots before they spread to the public. Ai considered the possibilities carefully.
But in the end, she couldn't quite buy into it. Trust wasn't something she took to easily. And she just couldn't imagine someone actually attacking her-- perhaps she had led too sheltered a life, but she considered herself to be untouchable.
"I like your story. It was interesting, to say the least." She got up, slapping down some bills on the table to pay for her tea. "Looks like I got stood up after all, though, so I'm going home. Don't follow me, or I'll have to call the police," she warned.

Cetus stood, picked up her own earthbound feline, and turned. "Do as you wish, I've some business to attend to anyway. However-" Distilled grey eyes glanced at Ai. "I'll be watching. Goodbye." And with that, the older woman dissolved into the flow of people. She was practically gone, but Ai might happen to catch a glance at a familiar outfit output by a long sway of pink hair leave from another exit. Gotta keep disguise after all.
