Bix stared and stared and stared at the asylum. Nothing else.
He sighed and stepped back. "So....." He scratched his head. "How's Marcus treating you?" He was trying to ask without being awkward but failing.
He'd loiter around more, try to find the tiniest hair or goo sample or.. scrap of cloth. Or he'd just hang around so he didn't have to go back to the island for a little while longer.

"Oh, Marcus um.... he's um...fine. Everything there is good." her face burned redder than it should have as she looked away. "How about you? You have an eye out for any girl besides that mist hunter in the Lighthouse earlier?" she teased, looking off towards the asylum-
"Okay, I saw that." She pointed towards the building looming in the distance, then looked back at Bix.
"I know you saw that.
Why can't we go look?" Yes, because of orders, she seemed to understand that. It seemed more like her question was why hadn't they been told to investigate that in particular?

"FINALLY!" He was glad she saw it. She was much more sensitive to these type of things and if only he was seeing it than that may have been a clue. Knowing she saw it too made him feel a bit better.
"Just fine? Things are good? That's all the details I get?" Bix smirked. He honestly didn't want details but he had to tease her. When she blushed, at least she want's moping about ghosts.
"If he does anything.. unwanted.." Bix put on a tough guy face but it wasn't very intimidating. "I did beat him in that duel that one time." Smug. YEP.
'Hey let's hang out in this shack a while.' continued to be the plan of action. At least they were hidden if the cops came back. "OH.. if we see it again, try and take a pic on your phone."

"Well that's good to know that you're watchin' out for me. You're like the big brother I never had." Bix was in the brozone, but it seemed like it was a mutual thing for them, the brozone. Sibzone. Familyzone. It was nice. She liked her 'real' family a lot more than her family. They were... funner, more relaxing, more understanding.
She definitely liked it a lot.
Still, Cass pulled her phone out to get it ready in case she spotted that.. thing again. She stared towards the asylum for a while, just..waiting. But she didn't see the shape again. That was unfortunate, really. She'd been hoping to be able to snap a picture.
"Damn, I hope we can bring back something with us, because right now we're...kind of lacking anything substantial about this place besides the fact we should be investigating the Asylum and not this house...."
Cass made a face as a thought struck her.
"Unless this is the safer option of the two and from-afar observation is about all we can do right now."

"Well if nothing else happens in the next couple of minutes, let's head back." Bix picked up a fallen chair to fix it. "But back on the girl front.. any of them like me? HMMM?" He was mostly kidding... but if she did know...
"Well that was exciting." The crunch of footsteps and those same cops voices.
"It was just a rabbit." The other cop sighed. Their voices passed quickly this time. Hopefully they were headed for their patrol car to leave here finally.
Bix ducked quickly and waited. They would definitely have to leave soon at this rate.

"Sorry Bix, I hang out with three different girls, two of which are taken, and the third one is...well, I don't know about Aria all that much, actually.." She lingered in hiding, sighing a bit.
"This feels like it was a bit of a bust though. We should probably head back in the next.." she checked the time on her phone. "Twenty minutes before we get caught or Caelius suddenly teleports out here to strangle us with a spoon." How would Caelius strangle them with a spoon? She didn't know, but she imagined he was capable of it.
"What do you make of this place, though?"

Bix just sighed and kicked one of the flipped piece of furniture lightly. "Well come on Cass. Do your bro a solid!" He smirked and gave her a threatening point. She was his only connection to the social world of the illustrious 'female'. "Keep an ear for some ladies who are looking." Hormones should be FLYING around here. "I think this place.. this shack.. is a big trap." He looked around the empty room. "Everything about it points towards the asylum. Everything here makes you look there. Even the gravestones just draw you up there. It's really suspicious." Bix moved back to the door. "But I'm ready to head out if you are."

Cass took one last long look around the shack, pausing to stare out the window.
"Bix....do you think that whatever we saw was.. watching what we're doing?" she asked, her brows furrowing together. "I mean.. really watching us. Like this house is secretly the lure, but the asylum is a fishing line extended to pull us in and ensnare us into something... I agree. This feels like a trap." Cass had never claimed to have good instincts, but she knew a thing or two about haunted locations.
She'd been to enough of them to have such senses.
"However, I think our little look around may have been a bust, unfortunately. Maybe we should ask Caelius..or maybe Aria... about us investigating that asylum with a group."
And by a group she meant they needed at least three more people or something. A couple of suns, a couple of moons, and maybe a Death and then her. Because she was neither of the previous list.

"Coulda been." Bix frowned, once more glancing out the window before he exited the shack. He pulled up his hood in the dark and gave the asylum a wary glance. "There's definitely something fishy about the place. You're right about needing a squad." Bix fished for the pendant under his coat and gathered his thoughts, already preparing for the mission report. "Maybe we can request being included on the mission reports." Overall he was glad that her flip out had only been brief. He could tell the whole situation made his friend uncomfortable and Bix didn't like knowing he'd put her in that position. It was his own stupid fault for not doing much thinking first. "Ready when you are." And with a nod he issued the return command. demon_pachabel I gave up on getting the slime roll ;_;

"Yeah. I'll note it on mine, at least. I don't think I could stand not knowing." Especially if they were all going to snoop. She wanted to snoop too! Even if she' likely end up getting chased down by ghosts or something of that variety. Whichever happened first.
Either way, it seemed like they'd found everything they possibly could for this trip out. She couldn't help but feel like they still needed some last vital clue or something of that sort, however. Still, she fished her own pendant out of her shirt and held it tightly in her hand.
"See you on the other side!" she agreed, mimicking his lead and likewise issuing the return command. They'd spent enough time there, they'd just be wasting it if they stayed any longer.
