Caedis smiled at Chloe and her little stuffed animal. "He looks well taken care of." He said at her comment about his sword and he nodded. "I have to take real good care of it. This sword has helped me to survive...Say, you want to see a trick, little one?" he said to her.

Chloe nodded she liked things that shined like every other young child, so her attention could be easily kept with anything that shined. Angela watched and then got out the plated a second before it was to beep so it didn't make a sound, she took the plates out quickly burning her fingers each time though she just ignored it.

Caedis held the blade so that it pointed straight up. "Elrune, sing." He said calmly but with a feel of power in his voice. The blade started to spin while he held it vertically. The blade emanated a ringing sound and as Caedis moved his hand around, the sound would fluxtuate in pitch, creating a melodic sound.

Chloe watched wide-eyed, she was amazed by what the blade could do. Angela watched as well then when she was sure he was done and the food had cooled down to where they could eat it she called out "food's ready." Chloe looked into the kitchen and then smiled and started to jump toward it one of the many things she liked to do.

Caedis tightened his grip on the handle and the blade stopped spinning. A slight smile crossed his face as he followed Chloe to the kitchen. He looked at Angella and gave her a low, celtic-styled bow. "Thank you, Lady Angella, for taking me into your home." He said to her and stopped, stiffening. "Do you smell that?" He said standing and sniffing around a little. "Kinda smells like blood."

Angela smiled "your welcome...". Angela's face turned white as Caedis mentioned blood she had no idea where it came from and was kinda scared to find out where it was coming from but then she put on a straight face and smelled the air though she couldn't smell it she could only smell the spaghetti she was holding "no...". Chloe looked up at her sister no name still in her arms

Caedis sat there listening and smelling the air to anything that might tip him off to why he smelt blood. He slowly moved over to the window and saw a bird with a broken wing that was bleeding. He slowly exhaled and relaxed. "It was just a bird..." He said calmly. His sword burst into shards of shadow and disappeared. "Sorry I alarmed you."

Angela sighed in relief and dismay, she was relieved it wasn't what she had thought but she didn't like that it was a bird, she still had a very caring heart toward animals. Chloe couldn't see the bird but didn't try, she didn't want to see the bird with it's broken wing at all.

Caedis suddenly went outside and picked up the bird. He used some bandages from a pouch on his belt to wrap its wing, then pet it kindly. He had always found animals to be good company when he lived out in the wasteland and did his best to help hurt ones occasionaly.

Angela watched him and then yawned but it was small and she ignored it, she didn't get much sleep since she often worried about the men coming to the house that is suppose to keep them safe. Chloe sat down in a chair and watched Ceadis though her legs were swinging like any child usually does.
