Another Day Solo #1 Words: 506
"24938B! REPORT TO DEPORTATION" Came the cry across the intercom. Two was sitting in her cell, staring at the ceiling. It was morning and she had been expecting her call to come. Her work, like others on board the ship, started and finished at particular times. Hers began early and finished late. She didn't care. Two just did what she was told and got on with it.
She rose from her bed and made her way to deportation.
"Finally." Mumbled Gruff. The fat, lazy blob of an elf sat behind a desk covered in paper and trash. "We called you almost half an hour ago."
Two simply nodded. She had been down within two minutes from when her name had come across the intercom, but she knew better than to argue. The boss was always right.
"Get in." His stubby thumb indicated to her transporter pod. It was from here she would be sent to do her work.
Two nodded again and entered the transporter. As soon as the door had closed Gruff had slammed the ejection button on his desk and she was gone, off down the chute to the home of her master.
Moments later Two was in the living room of her master Mr Bath. Mr Bath was a seedy man, short of stature and very intimidating. He was often busy with work so Two rarely saw him. Never the less there were cameras set up to make sure her work was completed.
She walked over to a computer console which had her jobs for the day written out. It was the normal stuff, cleaning, maintenance and cooking. Her dark eyes scanned the list before setting out to do her days work, eager to get started.
Late afternoon Mr Bath made an unexpected visit to his home. Not aware of Two's presence, after all, she was taught to be quiet and efficient, he picked up his communicator to make some arrangements.
"I want him dead." He hissed down the line. "And do it fast."
Two overheard the conversation, she was in the next room. She didn't think anything of it. It was her masters business. She knew she was not to be involved.
Mr Bath turned and saw her through the door. Had she heard? He thought. His beady eyes stared her down as he thought. Better not to take any chances. The short man laid out the options in his head. I could have them clear her, but they might get suspicious. She'll have to go.
"24938B. Come with me." He picked up his coat and keys as he spoke.
Two put down her work and nodded, just like she always did. It was her job to as she was told. Two followed her master into his vehicle, wondering what was going on. It wasn't unheard of for Two to accompany Mr Bath somewhere, if he need assistance and attendance. The Elf slave figured this would be just another one of those things.

Fairwell Solo #2 Words: 513
Two didn't know how long they had been driving for or where they were going. She just sat in the back, patient, waiting to do as she was told. Her dark eyes gazed out the window as they raced through streets, through the city, then passed its outer region, the buildings thinning, becoming smaller. Then they were scattered, they'd pass a building every few minutes before they became rarer and rarer, then fading into trees of all shapes and sizes.
The wind seemed to pick up the further they travelled. She could tell by the trees. They were still within the city, but out where they were now the force of nature was rattling them all around, their boughs swishing, their leaves thrown about in the wild weather.
Suddenly they came to a stop. Two looked out her window but all she saw was blue, something she'd never witnessed before. Mr Bath got out the car and walked around to her door. He opened it and spoke. "Out."
Two stepped out of the dark vehicle from the back seat. She never rode in the front, that was for guests and friends of Mr Bath. They seemed to have arrived at a cliff. Where it was exactly she did not know, Two had never been to a place like this before. Whenever she'd been with Mr Bath they'd always gone into the city, into huge buildings with lots of people and other servants like her. Here though, it was quiet, serene. She looked expectantly at Mr Bath, waiting for an order.
"Put this on." He handed a dark piece of cloth to her. She wrapped it around her eyes with experience. It wasn't uncommon for Mr Bath to want her not to see things. She didn't question him at all, just did as she was told.
"Here." He said, grabbing her arm and directing her to where her wanted her to go. Her movement was tentative thanks to the blindfold, but she didn't resist. His grip on her arm was tight but she did not protest, it was not her place. She was to be subordinate at all times.
He let her go and she was standing without his support. She didn't know where she was. Something sparked in her mind, but she pushed it away. We are not to ask questions. We are to do as we are told.
She heard him move behind her. "Farewell." He said simply.
Then there was a force on her back and she was falling. The blind fold came undone as she twisted in her freefall, the force of her movement whipping her hair and clothes around her. Her Dark eyes saw Mr Bath looking down at her descending body from the edge of the cliff and then he disappeared as she plummeted towards the sharp rocks and lashing waves that waited for her at the bottom of her fall.
The slave let out a gasp as her body turned in the air to face the ground she was falling towards, wondering what she had done wrong.

Falling Solo #3 Words: 502
She was too frightened to scream, instead her mouth gaped wide as the rocky base of the cliff became closer and closer as she plummeted to her descent. Death would come all too soon, she was sure of it. Her white hair tussled as she fell, her body twisting and turning in the air, looking for some way of escape, even though she knew there would be none.
Two closed her eyes, she could stand the thought of looking at the ground that would end her. When all was dark she began to drift into thoughts of her life so far. All she could remember was that she was a slave. Did she have a life before that? A family? Friends? She didn't know, and she'd never thought of these questions until now, the moment of her demise. She'd always just accepted the fact of who she was and what she did. The only images of her past that flashed in her mind were of her past jobs, working for Mr Bath, for her masters before him.
No hopes, no dreams of what may occur in the future, Two knew that she would never get the chance to be something more than what she was.
She stopped thinking for a moment. This fall was taking a very long time. She pried open her eyes to see just how close she was to the end, to the sharp rocks and violent water that was below her, that seemed to be grasping for her small body as she fell closer and closer, but saw... nothing.
Her eyes were wide now, looking around, she was still falling, she could feel it, but the bottom of the cliff had vanished, there was no vast, stretching ocean, instead, it was black. Everywhere she looked was black. Where was she, what had happened? Had she already died? Was this the afterlife? Many thoughts rushed through her mind as she fell.
Then she noticed a small speck of light below her. She could see it getting larger and larger as she fell, and through it, she could see land below, green fields and blue water. Was it a hole? She did not know. The hole grew bigger and bigger as she fell towards it, it was almost her size now. It grew as she fell, it was now wider than her body, she could easily fit through it.
Below her she could see water. More panic struck her now. She was going to fall into water. She could not swim. She would drown.
Then, the blackness disappeared and there was color all around, great buildings, trees, greenery, lakes, and the one beneath her, growing close.
Then, a splash as she hit the water, though it wasn't large, only small, as if a small child had jumped off the edge of a pool into the water.
Two was flailing now, sure that she had escaped one death, and now, if no one was about to aid her, was facing another.

Help?Joint RP #1 Featuring Sarka (Meepfur)Words: 2211LinkVesale If one was wandering the Pantheon Gardens they would be sure to hear the distressing cries and furious splashing coming from one of the smaller bodies of water. In the water they would find a panicked, white haired elf, doing anything she could to save her self from being taken under. Two was frantic. In the space of what seemed minutes she had escaped one fate and found herself facing another. If she had landed on the land, then her thoughts would be elsewhere, as to how she was here, when she was sure that she was falling to her death from cliff and instead, found herself in an entirely different location. But she wasn't on the land, instead her fall had ended in the water, and she was only thinking about one thing. Staying alive. Her arms were swinging wildly, trying to keep her head above the water, her legs thrashed underneath the surface, not sure how they were meant to be used to stay afloat. One thing was for sure, if Two survived this, she would never go into water again. She began crying out, hopefully someone would hear her pleas and come to her rescue? She didn't know where she was or if there were others about, she could only hope that someone was, and they would be able to save her from drowning. Meepfur Sarka had only just descended into the gardens, on a mission to collect fruit for her friend Nashwa; she, unlike the diminutive katta, could reach everything...even the things she could not physically reach, thanks to her magic. The last thing she expected to hear, while 'fetching' the best-looking peaches, was a desperate cry for help.
The liontaur let the delicate fruit fall to the ground and bounded in the direction of the commotion, enormous strides carrying her swiftly the the lakeside. Someone was drowning!
A quick motion of her hands sent a blue light speeding towards the hapless stranger, which all but shoved its target out of the water once it connected. Not the most pleasant sensation, about like having the wind knocked out of you (she knew, she'd been on the other end of a force bolt before!), but better than dying. Vesale Two didn't have time to notice anyone around her before she was shot from the water. With a thud she landed safetly on the other side of the lake, even if she did feel quite weak and out of breath. Unable to muster enough energy to stand upright, she pulled herself onto her knees from her sprawled position and looked around for who or what may have been responsible for removing her from the water. Her grey eyes then saw the lion-person. It was the only other thing, could it have saved her? Two wasn't sure she wanted to find out, it was peculiar, and dangerous looking. She simply stared at it, too scared to move or speak, her breathe heavy as she recovered from the bolt and the struggle in the water. Meepfur Sarka felt a little bad about the rather abrupt solution to the problem, but it was actually the best she could do. A person, after all, was far too large to be fetched, and she couldn't levitate anyone but herself. She skirted around the edge of the lake with a worried look to check on the woman, who was looking quite scared - whether by her ordeal, Sarka, or some combination of the two.
"Are you alright?" The liontaur usually didn't care whether or not someone was afraid of her, but this person was clearly in need of help, so it mattered. "I apologize for the means, but speed seemed wiser than delay." Vesale Oh, it was coming over! Two didn't know what to do, and so, remained where she was, propped up on her knees. As the being came closer she could see that it was perhaps female? Well, it's torso appeared feminine. When she came around Two refrained from looking at her face. A combination of what she was taught in the past and also out of fear. With her face downcast she answered, her voice shaky and quiet. "Uh, yes, I think so. Now I am anyway." "That was you?" She asked, not sure how to describe what had just happened, having never witnessed any magic in her own life. Meepfur So the woman was afraid of her, it seemed, but she wasn't running away or otherwise freaking out. Sarka could work with that, even if she didn't like it when someone didn't look at her when they talked. It was disrespectful, in her book.
"It was," she confirmed, reaching down with a clawed hand in an offer to help the other up. "Come, are you well enough to stand?" Vesale "Thank you," she said simply, as a thank you to saving her, and as a thank you for helping her off the ground. She took her paw and arose. Her legs, still weak from all the kicking, almost gave way, and she had to steady herself by placing a hand on the others shoulder to keep her balance. Meepfur Sarka was, by coincidence of design, a good person to lean on; four legs were infinitely more stable than two. Once her rescuee seemed able, she started to walk - slowly. "We should get you out of those wet clothes."
Sadly, there was no drying-off spell. Perhaps whirlwind, used correctly...but no, this was not the time to test more alternative uses for offensive spells. Introductions instead. "I am Sarka dar Shampa. And you?" Vesale Two was not sure what else to do, so she followed along side the other. "That would be good, but I don't want to be much trouble." Two wasn't used to having another look after her. If anything it was the other way around, she was the one doing things for others. Perhaps this cat person hadn't recognized that she was a slave, she mustn't have seen her Identification code on her arm. Two nodded as she was told the name of her rescuer. "Nice to meet you, Miss dar Shampa." Two was accustomed to calling people by Miss/Mr/Mrs, and their surname, she only hoped that it was the woman's last name, or she may look foolish. "I am 24938B." She said, pointing to the barcode on her right arm. "Mostly I'm just called Two, though." Meepfur The barcode, to Sarka, was just another tattoo. Science and technology in her world varied some by region, but there were certainly no barcodes. Or people with numbers for names, for that matter. Odd. Still, it was not enough to raise flags for the liontaur.
"It's no trouble." On the contrary, if Rio happened to be in, he would be delighted.
"You may call me Sarka." It was not strictly incorrect to call her 'Miss dar Shampa,' as it did amount to a surname, but she definitely preferred just 'Sarka.' "How did you come to be in the lake, Two?"
She'd seen no one else in the vicinity, and why would Two have gone in if she couldn't swim? Vesale At the question of how she came to be in the lake, a strange expression came across Two's face. She always been told and taught not to discuss her jobs or her masters with others. Especially just after what had happened with Mr Bath. But on the other hand, she felt as if she owed something to the cat lady that had somehow rescued from her death. "I was working, I heard my master say something, perhaps it was not meant for my ears. He took me into his car and drove me to a cliff top. He pushed me and I fell. I closed my eyes and when I opened them, I was falling through darkness. Then a hole in the darkness appeared and I fell through it and into the water." She nodded. That was basically what had happened, and she felt relieved to get it off her chest, after all, she was intrigued as to what happened and where she was, but she refrained from asking. Slaves were always told not to ask questions. "I don't know how to swim." She added sheepishly as an afterthought. Not that that wasn't already obvious. Meepfur Much like barcodes, Sarka had no concept of cars, but it was easy to assume that it was some method of transportation. And Two had a master? That was not unheard of either, in some places, although she personally disapproved. With good reason, since some of them apparently pushed their servants off cliffs. The lack of honor in some people was most disturbing.
"A hole in the darkness? That sounds like a portal." She had attempted one, once, and inadvertantly ended up somewhere else entirely, separated from her friend. It had been quite counterproductive, as the object had been to reach somewhere safer
It had worked out in the end, though. Vesale "I do not know what a portal is." She stated. Two had never done any learning, and was only told the basic things, many concepts and ideas were foreign to her and her limited knowledge. Her masters always said a good slave is a slave that knows only what they need to know. Again she was curious as to what a portal was, but her teaching held her back from speaking her questions aloud. One time, a long time ago, she had asked a question and it didn't end well. Two did not want that to happen again. Meepfur As a question was more or less implied, or would have been in typical conversation, Sarka elaborated anyway, "A portal is a door to somewhere else, a passage between places that aren't usually physically connected. As there are no cliffs in the sky here, I think it is safe to say that you fell through a portal." Vesale Two looked back up to the area above the lake where she had almost drowned. There didn't seem to be a hole there anymore, in fact, there didn't seem to be a sky. She looked up at it, puzzled, but once again did not ask. It certainly wasn't good for conversation when one half does not want to ask anything. "This is a strange place," said Two as they continued to walk. She'd certainly never seen a place like this during her working life. Meepfur Someone who didn't ask questions was better than someone who didn't say anything at all, at least. As Two continued to give her something to go off of, Sarka managed well enough, and without taking much notice that the stranger never posed a real question. "This is the Pantheon, the home of the gods. It is not uncommon for people to find their way here, though your way in particular seems most peculiar."
"There must be some purpose for you here, for a portal to have opened for you, to save you and bring you here." She knew that hosts were often called here, somehow, and had actually worried for a time that that was why she or Nashwa had found themselves here, but that worry had so far been misplaced.
Still, a hole opening up in the not-sky was most compelling. Vesale Two listened as Sarka spoke, about this place and about gods. She didn't know anything about gods and had never given them a thought before. As to why she was here, she didn't know. "Perhaps I am here to work," she mused, that was what she did. She cooked, cleaned, did house work. It was what she was trained for, and why she was used. "Perhaps I have a new Master here." Meepfur "That is a possiblity," Sarka had to agree, at least tentatively, but it seemed farfetched that a god would open a portal to save a random woman from death, especially over a lake...and not be there. Not impossible, but very unlikely. She was no expert, but it didn't take a genius to reach the conclusion that Two had, quite likely, been called. "The gods do need followers, and occasionally servants."
The latter capacity tended to be filled by aoidei, although Nashwa had taken up a role that was more of a hybrid of the two. Sarka did not yet consider herself a follower of anyone, although she obviously believed all of this god business by now; she liked Rio, but did not feel compelled to pledge her loyalty beyond friendship. "I am a friend, myself, of the God of Love."
As they conversed, they reached the steps, and Sarka started up them. Vesale "Perhaps I am to be the servant of a God." Exactly which god she didn't know. But she would do as she was told, like she always did. "I did not think you were like me." Nodded Two, "I did not see an Identification code on your arm." However, the other did mention servents, so perhaps there were others like her around. As Sarka climb the stairs, she did too. She didn't know where they were going, but she didn't question it. She was alone in a strange place, but Sarka seemed to want to help her, and she was grateful, if a bit perplexed as to why she wanted to help a slave, then, a lightbulb. "Perhaps I am to serve you?" It made sense in her mind, she was the one that found her, maybe she was the one who called her. Meepfur "An identification code? I am not familiar with such things." Hopefully Rio was in nd would be able to make sense of all this.
Her servant? If Two hadn't clearly meant it so seriously, Sarka might have laughed. "No, I think not. Magic users do not have servants, although wizards do sometimes have familiars. But I am no wizard, and I performed no ritual - and besides, familiars are creatures, not people."
Sarka opened the green door that was Love's, entering into the foyer, and called out but received no response. Well, it was not unusual, and just as well. Two would have time to change, and perhaps to rest. "This way, we will borrow some of Nashwa's clothes."
She led the way into what was clearly group sleeping quarters, a very warm, soft, and altogether feminine room, large and with a fair amount of privacy despite being shared. Vesale "This," she pointed to the barcode on her arm, "is my Identification code. It can be scanned, and all my data will appear on a screen. It is also what I used to get in and out of the facility." Oh no, she suddenly thought. If I don't get home and scan in on time I will be punished. Or perhaps not, she thought again, perhaps Mr Bath will have told the Company that she was missing, and they would be searching for her. That would be good, then she could get back to work and away from this strange place. Not that it was bad. Two's eyes widened slightly as she tried to hide her amazement. This certainly wasn't like the cells at the Facility which she slept in. This room was appealing, and she felt at peace. She couldn't believe that the others like her would sleep like this, and she couldn't help but let out a question. "You sleep here?" She immediately tried to cover her mistake however, "Sorry, I shouldn't have asked that. We're told never to ask questions." She bowed her head, looking ashamed, like a child who has been reprimanded in the schoolyard. Meepfur Sarka tilted her head, considering Two's 'code' and what it apparently did. She understood it in a very vague way, but didn't have the technological knowledge to really grasp it. Still, she accepted the explanation with a brief, "I see."
The liontaur, just about to answer Two's question, was surprised when she apologized almost as soon as she'd asked it, and blinked golden eyes at her guest. How...disquieting. Rio would be horrified. "While you're here, you can ask whatever you like. It is better that you do, in fact, or there is much that you will not understand."
She waved her hands in an arc, sparkling light trailing the motion, and a wardrobe opened. Inside were various colorful skirts of thin, breezy fabric, and tops to match. "Choose something. I will go and get you a towel."
A short trip down the hall later and she'd be back, a luxuriously thick towel draped over her arm. Vesale Whilst Sarka may have found her reason of lack of questioning strange, Two also found it strange, and very hard to overcome the lesson that was so solid in her mind, that she is not never question others. It would take some time until she would actually conjure up some of her own, to get past the training and reinforcement that she'd had. So, she replied with a simple, "Okay." The grey eyed elf watched in awe as the Liontaur opened the wardrobe, without touching it. Where Two was from there were many strange things, but one rarely experienced magic. It was kept secret and private, and only those with a lot of money had access to it. As a slave, Two had never even come close to experience it, and only had the vaguest of concepts of what it was. When Sarka offered her a choice of dress Two looked shocked. She'd never had the choice of clothing before. She'd worn the same uniform for as long as she could remember. When Sarka would return from fetching a towel, she would return to find the woman in the same spot, staring strangely at the clothing, not quite sure what to do. Meepfur Sarka was surprised when she returned to find Two exactly as she left her, but realized she probably shouldn't have been. "Well? Isn't there anything you like? If you prefer something more modest, I'm afraid you're out of luck," she chuckled, "Nashwa is the most covered of anyone here, aside from Rio."
Her own tops were much the same as the katta's, all midriff-baring, and she clearly had no need of skirts or trousers, so she had none to offer. As for Shy and Ishkha...well, it was a wonder they bothered to dress at all, given how little they left to the imagination. Vesale "Oh sorry," said Two. Not wanting to be much trouble or cause a scene, she reached out and grabbed the closest top and skirt. Having never had the option of choice or color before, the Elf didn't have a preference, and so the clothing she ended up choosing was of a red-rose hue. "These shall do. Thankyou," she said as she turned to Sarka. Meepfur "Good," Sarka approved, even if it was fairly obvious that Two had just selected whatever she happened to grab. At least she hadn't stood there and refused to decide. She handed the woman the towel she'd brought, and turned to give her privacy. Some people could be very self-conscious about nakedness, so she erred on the side of caution, but continued to talk.
"Once you've changed, would you like something to eat? Or would you prefer to rest first instead?" Vesale Two took the towel and began to change when the other had turned her back. She slipped off her wet clothes and folded them neatly to one side. Once she had dried herself, she dressed in the clothes she had just picked out. Two was not quite sure of what to make of the freedom of a skirt, having worn pants at all times. It was certainly interesting, and she gave a small spin, experimenting with it's flow. At the question of food, her stomach gave an involuntary reply with a loud rumble. "I'm sorry," said Two, embarrassed at the noise she'd just made. "Some food would be nice." She nodded and turned to face Sarka, dry and dressed. Meepfur "Food it is, then." Sarka grinned, an expression that that could easily have been mistaken for something less well-humored, given her leonine features. "This way."
She led the way back into the tiled hall, then into another room - a kitchen, complete with typical 'modern' appliances that had baffled the liontaur at first, but eventually grown on her. "Is there anything you do not eat?"
Best to know if Two was vegetarian before she offered leftover venison or some other such thing. Vesale Two nodded and followed the Liontaur into the kitchen. The technology she was used to, and had experience with. Once again she was baffled at the question. Anything you do not eat? She'd never had the choice before. She and all the other Slaves that lived within the facility had been fed the same gruel day in and day out. "Uh, I don't think so," she said, unaware of the variation in food and flavor. Meepfur "That makes it easy." Sarka had a quick look in the fridge, where Nashwa had not only stored last night's leftovers, but had already portioned them out onto plates in case anyone came looking for lunch. The katta could be absurdly domestic sometimes. Actually, most of the time.
Within a few minutes, Two was presented with reheated honeyed venison and rice. "There. It loses a little something in the microwave, but I think you will like it."
She was forgetting something, though...oh! Opening the proper cabinet with her magic, she then flicked a circle of light from her fingers that fetched a glass to her hand. She filled it from the tap before setting that on the kitchen table as well. Vesale Two watched as the Liontaur prepared her food. It did make her slightly uneasy watching someone prepare food for her, but she watched, not sure whether it would be right to interupt, and she didn't want to be a bother. She sat down and stared at the food. She'd never seen anything like it, it looked, and smelled delicious, and er inexperienced taste buds would certainly find no fault in the reheated dish. "Thankyou," she said quietly, waiting for some kind of order that she could begin eating, like she had gotten at every mealtime back home. Meepfur It took a moment for Sarka to realize that Two was waiting for permission, but once she did, she gave it, "Go on. I've already eaten, so you don't need to wait for me."
She watched for a bit, tufted tail flicking idly behind her, before venturing, "I think you should meet Rio when he gets home. He would know better what to make of your situation, I think. That is, if you don't mind...?" Vesale As soon as she spoke the words Two began her meal. She tried to hide her hunger and eat with some restraint, but she didn't know just how hungry she was until the food was placed in front of her. Almost dying twice in one day can have that effect. "That would be nice," offered Two shyly. This was the god she had mentioned before, what did she say he was, Love? Perhaps she was meant to serve him. A meeting might be a good thing after all. Meepfur "Excellent." Sarka smiled and sat back on her haunches. "He would have been very disappointed if he didn't get to meet you; he loves guests." The god was almost ridiculously friendly, ad the same went for most of his little group. Not that it hadn't been rubbing off a little...
"When you've finished, you can rest. He should be home by the time you wake." Vesale "Okay," said Two as she finished off her meal. Instinctively she took her plate and cutlery and gave them a quick wash and dry when she was done with them and turned to face Sarka once more, not quite sure where to go to get some rest. Meepfur "Thank you," Sarka said as Two took it upon herself to clean up. Nashwa would have insisted on doing it, but the liontaur was not going to object. When their guest had finished, she led the way back to the room they'd started with, the sleeping quarters.
She gestured towards a bed that didn't yet belong to anyone. "You can sleep here." Vesale Two followed Sarka back into the room where she'd changed and sat down on the bed the liontaur gestured to. It wasn't until she sat down on the bed that she realized just how tired she was. "Thank you for your help today," said the Elf. Then, not being able to hold herself up much longer, collapsed on the bed in sleep.

The Demoness Solo #4 Words: 711
Some ways from the Pantheon, though not too far that travelling there would take more than half a day, was a small, derelict hut. The hut, made of scraps from fallen rooves and sheaths of tin and wood, was propped against a large, but now dead, tree. Out the front of the home was a small garden, littered with different kinds of vegetables and flowers. On top of the roof was a small, poorly constructed chimney, that looked as if the smallest gust of wind would knock it right off, in fact, the whole house looked that way. The chimney was emitting steady stream of smoke, indicating that the place was indeed, inhabited.
"Damn it!" Came a loud , gruff cry from inside. Honovi scowled. The broth she had been cooking for her lunch had boiled over, spilling onto the floor of her makeshift home.
"Stupid fire, getting too hot.." she mumbled as she cleaned up the mess and checked to see if any of the mixture was salvageable.
The demoness scraped what she could from the bowl and sat down on a rickety chair next to a just as rickety table to eat her food. One might wonder, with the rebuilding of the Pantheon, why a servant such as herself was living in the middle of nowhere, when there was very much an abundance of warmth and hospitality available just a short walk away. The female was stubborn, that was why. With no help from any others during the time of Gehenna, Honovi certainly didn't need the help of others now that things were returning back to normal. She was stubborn and independent, a dangerous mix for some individuals.
Plus, the Aoide had reasoned that her master would be pleased with her, living in the wild as she was, paying homage to the one she followed so dearly every day with the way she lived. She hoped that with the stabilisation of the place, that her goddess would find her way back to the realm of the living soon. Golden eyes shot to an ornate box located on one of her shelves. Inside the box was the key to bringing her mistress back. Obtained from Harmodious some time ago, the demon had kept it with her sense, hoping that somehow she would be able to return her goddess to her rightful state.
Unfortunately, she had not been able to do so just yet, a failure that plagued her mind every time she looked in the direction of the box that held the gem. Was there not a suitable host anywhere? Honovi huffed and returned to her meal, spooning mouthfuls of the food hastily into her mouth. At least when she has returned, I won't have to live like this anymore, she mused as she ate.
As she ate, a sudden thump came from behind her. The demoness shot up out of her chair, grabbing the nearest thing, a soup ladle, to use as a weapon. She looked around but nothing was behind her. Then she noticed it on the floor. The box that held the gem of her former master now lay open on the ground.
"What the..." Honovi whispered as she placed the soup ladle back on the table and approached the box.
Nothing like this had ever happened before. Her heart was thumping quite fast now. What did this mean? She reached out to touch the gem. As soon as her fingers touched the surface of the cool rock, an image flashed in her mind. Someone was flailing about in a body of water. The area she knew, it was the Pantheon, and no doubt one of the pools that surrounded it. The vision then seemed to focus on the one in the water for a moment, and Honovi strained to see who it was, but all she could glimpse was white hair.
"They are the one?" She asked the rock, turning it over in her palm.
Her mind racing, Honovi grabbed a bag and slung it over her shoulder, placed the gem back in its box and put it in the bag, along with some other things she might need. The she set out to find the one who would be the vessel to bring Her back.

A Dream Solo #5 Words: 1024
Grey eyes opened. It was bright. The sun was shining right down on the elf. Was this where I went to sleep? She couldn't remember, her thoughts were foggy past this point. Strange. She looked down at her body. She was wearing her uniform, like she always did. Perhaps I'm here to work. She extended her arms out to push herself off the bed... no wait... grass? Between her fingertips were the unmistakable blades of grass. The elf tilted her head to one side to view her surroundings. She was in the middle of a field.
Bright green grass covered the ground, and scatter across it as well were flowers of all colors, all shapes, all sizes. Some she recognized, having been a servant to one woman in particular who obsessed over her gardens and took great care of her plants, making sure to show Two all the different kinds she had and what to do with them. Not that She listened, after all, she was not taught to be a gardener. Still, some were easily recognizable, others not so much. The elf rose from where she had awoken. In the field there were also bushes, different kinds, some bearing fruit, others bearing flowers. Delighted, the elf pranced over to a push and plucked a large, ripe strawberry. "Delicious!" She gasped as she bit into the pink flesh of the fruit. Her grey eyes danced in delight at the wonder of the place she was in. She looked about once more. There were also trees, she noticed. Many different kinds! They seemed to form a ring around the field. Two squinted, trying to see through them but they were too dense. Oh well, she thought.
She bent down to smell a flower, a rose. As she did it seemed to bend up to her, to meet her halfway. How pleasant! That was when she noticed that all the plants were moving, yet there was definitely no wind, somehow though, they all seemed to be swaying in unison. It was quite a sight for the elf who had done nothing, as far as she could remember, but clean houses and cook food. It was magical. The slave elf let out a laugh in glee, never had she been to a place so wonderful, so beautiful in her life. I don't want to leave, she thought then, her expression changing to determination. It's beauty was intoxicating. Never did the elf want to work in smelly, dark, grimy, dangerous places again.
It was then that Two realized that she wasn't quite acting herself. No, not herself at all! She was a completely different person. All the discipline she had gained, all the lessons and mannerisms that had been drilled into her were gone. Right now, she was carefree, happy to go wherever, not worried that she was in the middle of a field. Two didn't want to go back to working for someone else.
"Perhaps you wont have to..."
A voice! It's sound breaking the silence around her. The elf looked around, where had it came from? There certainly seemed to be no others around. Maybe it was the plants? They did seem rather friendly after all, she thought to herself, stroking the trunk of an apple tree as she walked. Or maybe it was just my imagination, she thought again. The elf nodded with a smile. That must be it. Her mind at ease, Two went back to admiring her surroundings, dashing from one plant to the next.
"Close, but you're not quite on the mark!"
The voice broke through to her again. This time, rather than sounding like it came from one direction, the voice sounded as if it came from all around, echoing in the space around her, filling the air. It was comforting though, Two thought, the voice was pleasant, and had a warm, familiar tone. Grey eyes scanned the area once more, coming to rest on something she was sure had not been there before.
It was a tree stump, surrounded by flowers and bushes, denser than the surrounding area. They seemed to be decorating it, their vines and branches entwining themselves around the stump, so much so that it was hard to actually tell it was, though there were still pieces of wood that gave it away. The elf noticed that all the flowers and trees, even the grass seemed to be leaning towards it. Curious, Two started to make her way forward. Then she noticed there was something on the stump, but it was too far away, she strained to make it out, but couldn't. I'll have to get closer, she thought, making her way to the spectacle.
As she did she felt a slight bump on her shoulder. Strange, she thought, and frowned, looking around for the culprit, but there was no one there. Weird. She started walking again, but soon felt another. She flicked her head around but still could not see anyone. Frustrated, she called out, "Hello? Is anyone there?" No reply came, but there was another nudge. Then everything seemed to darken.
"No wait! I haven't seen it yet!" She cried, not knowing what was sitting on the stump, but knowing it was important. More nudges and the scene dimmed and dimmed. What was happening? The elf started to panic.
"Don't worry, we will meet soon enough..."
The voice came again, resonating around her as the scene grew darker and darker before it was nothing. Two was waking from her sleep.
Grey eyes blinked the sleepiness out and looked around the room she was in. It was plain, but not in the way she had been used to, plain in the way that there was nothing there to say that it was hers. Two looked around the room but saw no sign of any plants, or grass, or bushes, or even a tree stump for that matter. It was just a dream, she decided. A strange, but nice dream.
Two left it at that and noticed through her curtains the sun starting to rise. Now was a good a time as any to get to work.

Why So Saurus?Joint RP #2 Featuring Sarka, Nashwa & Rio (Meepfur)Words: 1032 LinkMeepfur Sarka had decided (and everyone else had agreed, of course) that they should let Two sleep until whenever she happened to wake - she'd had quite the ordeal, after all. But eventually, Two would find herself snuffled at by a cool, scaly nose; Nashwa's saurus might have been told to stay away, but being told and actually listening were two different things. He was relatively intelligent, as far as beasts went, but didn't always obey, particularly when left alone. Some time after everyone else had left the room, curiosity had gotten the better of him, and he'd decided to investigate. Small red dinosaurs were probably not anyone's idea of a good wake-up service, but Altan was clearly not concerned about what their guest would think. He was definitely not that smart. Vesale If not for the Saurus, Two might have kept on sleeping for another whole day. However, she was woken mid morning from her slumber by a strange creature she'd never seen before. At first she thought it was one of the guards on duty, poking her to make sure she was up and ready to get to work. As her grey eyes adjusted to the scene, the memory of the day came back and all that she'd seen since she was pushed from her cliff. Then she looked over to what had awoken her and she let out a high pitched squeak. What it was she had no idea, and not wanting to find out, Two jumped to the other side of the bed and pulled the sheets and blankets up over her, so that just her eyes were showing, hoping to form some kind of barrier between her and the strange lizard. Her eyes darted around the room to look for Sarka but she couldn't see anyone about, so for now it seemed, she was to face the freakish creature alone. Meepfur The saurus tilted its head from one side to the other, perplexed by this person's strange behavior - and that noise it made - and voiced its bewilderment with a "Gronk."
A few moments later, summoned by the minor commotion, Nashwa peeked her head in. "Ah! Altan, you are not supposed to be in here, you silly saurus. You know better!"
Looking as sad as a saurus could (which was to say, not very), Altan emitted another "gronk" and sulked over to his mistress. It had just been so tempting, and he hadn't been able to resist! But now he was in trouble, and as usual, it hadn't been worth it. The scaly creature promptly moped its way out of the room, tail dragging on the ground.
Nashwa turned her attention to Two, dipping in an apologetic bow. "So sorry, effendi. Altan does not realize he can be frightening." Vesale Two didn't move from behind her sheet-barrier. Her eyes darting back to the Saurus and the new individual who she had not met before. Was she like Sarka? She seemed similar, in that she had a cat head, but she didn't have four legs like the one who had saved her. "That... that's okay," said two quietly, nervously, still not wanting to put the sheet down. Meepfur The woman didn't look convinced, so Nashwa attempted to reassure her by explaining her pet, "Don't worry, he's quite domesticated. Altan is a riding saurus, although he is mostly a nuisance these days." The katta chuckled. "But nevermind that. Are you rested?" Vesale "Okay," replied Two, still not so sure, or what a riding Saurus actually was. She smiled weakly as the other laughed. "Yes, thank you." She said. She must live here too then. Perhaps she was a friend of Sarka's. Feeling more comfortable, she lowered her sheet. She was still dressed in the clothes Sarka had given her, which, she noticed, almost the same as the ones this new aquaintance was. Meepfur "Good." The katta smiled, hoping that their guest wasn't now unduly afraid of being here thanks to her pet. She would have to go and track down the sulky saurus later - he would probably be 'hiding' in Adi's empty room. "I am Nashwa. Would you like to meet Rio now? He is very eager to see you for himself." Vesale Two listened to the introduction. Nashwa, she noted. Another face for her to remember in this strange place. The elf did not reply with her name, still under the habbit of only doing things when she's asked. Rio? The name sounded familiar. Perhaps Sarka had mentioned him yesterday, she couldn't remember, her mind was so fuzzy. Still, she thought, he could be my new master. The elf was eager to get to work and make herself useful, despite the unusual position she was in. "Yes," she replied meekly to the other, wondering who he was exactly and if he was to be her new master. Meepfur "Very well." With another slight bow, the katta led the way from that room and into the hall, then into a sitting room, which the god already happened to occupy. "She's awake," Nashwa supplied simply, before leaving their guest to Rio.Love was quick to come to attention, setting down his half-eaten sandwich to stand and greet the woman properly. "You must be Two." He inclined his head with a welcoming smile. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you. I'm Rio."
"Come, have a seat," he invited, indicating the floor pillows. "Are you hungry? There's plenty here." Vesale Two followed the other woman out the door, her hands clenched together, she was nervous. It could be seen all over her body, her eyes, the way she stood her expression, every pore showed that she was uncertain, unsure. "He... hello." She spoke softly. Something about the man made her feel very powerful. Though why she was not certain. "I am." she nodded in reply. He knew her name, he must have been expected her, she thought. Perhaps that's why Sarka saved me, because she knew I was to be of service to this man. At his indication she gave a very soft squeak. It wasn't everyday a master offered a seat to one of their slaves. Confused, but not wanting to upset the man she thought might be her new master, the elf took a seat on one of the pillows, though she sat rigid and did not look at him. In response to his question she simply nodded. She did not want to be a burden, troublesome servants rarely worked for very long. Meepfur Hm. Sarka had mentioned that Two was some kind of servant, that she was a bit of a nervous sort, but her manner was a little more extreme than Rio had imagined. She was more than just a little nervous, and she wouldn't look at him - and she was barely speaking. All of this made him wonder if she'd been less a servant, more a slave. It was dismaying, to say the least.
He kept that from his expression, however, keeping a gentle smile on his face instead. Reclaiming his sandwich, he gestured to the spread of food between them. "You can have whatever you like. You're our guest here, you should want for nothing."
Maybe emphasizing that she was a guest might help. He couldn't just say stop that. These things weren't that easy to fix, no matter how much he wanted to fix them. He couldn't just wave a magic wand and have everything be how it should - he had a magic bow, but it wasn't good for that. Well, maybe sometimes it helped, but in this case, it probably wouldn't be much help. Vesale She could have whatever she liked? This was a very foreign idea to Two. Back where she came from, they only had what they were given, and were taught to want nothing. Two didn't quite understand the concept. What did he mean? She didn't want to make him upset. Then she would probably be sent away, back to where she'd came from. Two didn't want that. It was nice here. In the end, Two tried to read his comment more as a command, rather than a question, and so, reached out her hand to grab the nearest piece of food. Instead of eating it however, she just left it in her lap. She wouldn't dream of eating the food that was for her Master. She'd always been taught not too, and she'd seen the types of punishment that was given out to those who had dared to do such a thing. "Thank you sir," she said simply, still not looking in his direction, the piece of food just laying in her hands. Meepfur "You're welcome," Rio responded, though he quickly noticed she wasn't eating what she'd taken. Was she waiting for permission? She'd indicated that she was hungry when he'd asked, so he couldn't see why else she wasn't eating. Oh, dear. Apparently he was going to need to be clearer. "Go ahead, eat it. There's more than enough these days."
Love wasn't very good at telling people what to do, only asking them to do things. He really didn't do godly authority. Vesale Two looked down at the piece of food that lay in her hands with mixed emotions as she listened to the urging of Rio. She was obviously torn. Torn between the fact that it was his food, and one never ate the food of their master, and the fact that she did not want to offend him by not eating anything. With a pained expression on her face, the elf lifted the piece to her mouth and gave it a small nibble. Hopefully that would be enough to satisfy her (in her mind) new master. Old habits could be hard to break. Meepfur Rio found himself having to repress a sigh. He wanted her to eat, but he wasn't going to force her. Clearly, he'd need to leave keeping their guest fed to his aoidei or followers for the time being - he knew Sarka had given her food once already, but for one reason or another, she didn't want it from him. Considering it impolite to eat when she wasn't, he set his sandwich down again for later.
"You must have some questions about all this. Is there anything you'd like to know?" Vesale Perhaps she could learn in time to act like the others did, but for now, Two was very set in her ways, she didn't know any better. The elf placed her food back down, careful not to spill any crumbs upon the floors. She'd hate to upset her new master by making a mess. Aha! Finally getting to more comfortable ground, though it probably wasn't what Rio had in mind. Two, assuming he meant details about the jobs and duties she would be given, perked up immedietly. "What would you have me do? I can clean well, and I cook also, really, anything you need I can do." She nodded and bowed her head, waiting to see what his instructions would be. Meepfur ...that was not what he'd meant, but it was becoming more and more clear that all of Two's identity and reality were wrapped up in what she was, or had been. It wasn't something that could be corrected with a word; maybe if she stayed awhile, though, it could be worked at slowly. It was worth a try, although thinking about such servitude as hers made his skin crawl.
For now, what else could he do but go with it? "If you'd like, you can help Nashwa and my aoidei. They can guide you here."
And he'd speak to them about the...situation. Vesale Two was finally starting to look more comfortable, especially when she learned she would be helping out. She'd show Rio that she could be well worth keeping on. "Thank you," she said with a nod of her head.

Fresh FacesJoint RP #3 Featuring Glyph (Skieborne)Words: 1098 LinkVesale A small form made its way across the Pantheon grounds. Her head down, Two moved to one of the many fruit trees that were located in the area. Nashwa had given her a task, the first one she'd been given since she came to this place, to fetch some fruit for her to make a dessert. Two had nodded and set out with an empty basket, determined to do the job efficiently, just as she would have before. It certainly made the elf feel more comfortable, finally she had someone tell her what to do. She wasn't used to all this free thinking and speech. She was still trying to get used to all that. Finally she came to rest at a lemon tree, bearing the fruit that had been specified by the Katta. The elf set to work on plucking them one by one and placing them in the basket, hoping to fill it in a timely manner, so that she could show the others that she could be useful, and perhaps that would lead them to tell her what to do more often. SkieBorne Glyph had been napping nearby, enjoying the scent of the orchard as the fruit ripened and filled the air with sweet scents. With as terrible a sweet as Glyph had, such a time of perfumed airs made him quite happy. The soft rustle of a basket being dropped into the grass the the sway of branches drew him out of his doze, lavender eyes blinking open to scan the vicinity.
When he spotted Two, he gave a smile. Many had been harvesting recently, to eat, to preserve, to make into sweets... the last, of course, was his favourite use of them. Rising, Forest padded towards the elf, a friendly smile on his face, "Lemons, hrm? I prefer oranges myself, if I eat citrus. Or lime. Do you need help?" She had an awfully large basket... once full it'd be fairly heavy. Vesale The elf woman gave a jump backwards, startled by the approach and sound of another. Thankfully she had not knocked any of the fruit from the basket in her shock. It would have been terribly embarrassing to return to the home of those who had been gracious to her with spoiled fruit. Two turned to face the newcomer, glancing up at him briefly before glancing down at the ground, her old habits still not broken. The only ones she should look in the eye were like her, slaves. All others she had to defer too. Still, she wasn't as bad as she had been. Rio and the inhabitants of his domain were seeing to that. At his offer to help Two shook her head. "It is okay," she replied, stubbornly yet politely at the same time, if it were possible to do so, she did not want to offend. "I have been given this task, and it is a task I shall carry out." She wanted to show the others that she could be of use, that she could serve. And what use was a servant that had to rely on others to aid them? SkieBorne He blinked at her response, holding a hand out to catch if she stumbled, and made an apologetic face. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to startle you..." Then she denied his offer completely and Forest frowned a little, confused. Was she shy? He didn't get that vibe - her answer was too direct.
"If you're sure..." Looking up at the tree, he made a thoughtful sound, "I haven't met you before. What's your name? I'm Glyph. Planning on making a pie with the fruit?" His voice carried a curious undertone, almost hopeful. Vesale She listened to his introduction, but still did not make eye contact, her face angled down towards the ground. Years of training and discipline couldn't be changed in a matter of days, no matter how hard the others tried. "I am unit 24938B." She nodded, indicating to the mark and code on her arm. "Though most here call me Two," she finished, not sure if he wanted to know what others called her. She looked down at the basket of fruit. She hadn't asked what they might be for when she had been sent to collect the lemons, though now the other brought it up she did wonder. "I do no know. Perhaps a cake, perhaps jam." It wasn't for her to decide anyway, she would make with them what she was told to make. SkieBorne His gaze slid over to the tattoos indicating her unit number and sighed. He'd never been very good with technology, or the products of technology - there were rhythms and patterns there that ran against the grain for him. Was he some product of a test tube then? She would be the first he'd met, if that were the case.
Still, her subservient attitude was odd... those who stayed at the pantheon for any length of time generally developed a sort of 'immunity' to speaking with the gods, but again, she didn't seem starstruck either. "Well met Two." He answered at last, offering a broad smile, "Who're you taking it too? I'm a fan of jam, and pie too, actually." He scratched behind one ear, a silly smile making him seem slightly embarrassed - if he could mooch some lemon sweets, that would be delightful even if they weren't oranges. Vesale "They are for Sarka. I assume she means to cook something for Rio." She nodded and continued to pick the lemons, not tempted by them herself. It would be food for her master, not for her, and she didn't want to take something that was meant for him. "I am sure Rio would not mind sharing with you." She said. She could tell he was not like she, a servant of another, there was something about him that made him seem more of an equal to Rio himself. Perhaps he was a god too, though she knew she should not ask. A good servant does as they're told. But the others had told her she was allowed to ask questions... it just made her uncomfortable. SkieBorne "Rio, hn? I should say hello to Love, actually." He looked thoughtful for a moment and smiled, reaching to select a lemon, "Would you mind terribly if I accompanied you?" SHe seemed a factual sort, quiet and efficient.
Idly, he paused as he looked over one of the fruit and winked as he willed it to ripen just a little bit more before picking. "Have you been at the Pantheon long?" Vesale So they knew each other then. That was good. Two would have hated it if a stranger had followed her home, or worse, an enemy of her master. "I don't mind," she said with a nod and a slightly confused look. Why did it matter what she thought? The people of this realm were strange. The elf watched with secreted interest as he interacted with the fruit. Since coming here she'd become more observant of the world around her. Though she still liked being treated and acting like a servant, which meant she didn't ask many questions. "It has been some time, I think." To be honest the time had sort of blurred for Two. She couldn't really put an exact amount of time on it, just that it felt it had been a while. SkieBorne "Thank-you," He replied with a smile, tilting his head to regard her momentarily, then, quiet and observant. Two's admission made him nod - he couldn't blame her - it was hard, sometimes, to track the passage of time without stars, sun, or moon.
He quirked a grin at her interest and held the lemon out for her, "Tell me, do you accept gifts then, if given freely? " Vesale Two looked at the lemon as if it were some strange object she had never seen before. A gift? Notions like that were unheard of back where she had come from, and though the others tried to get her to take things from them, they were more necessities, things she needed to do her job, than gifts. But here was the branch mantled man, offering her lemon. She didn't want to upset him by resending the fruit, but she didn't want to take it either, the thought of a gift made her uncomfortable. The practices that were done here were certainly different than back home. "It is not... common practice where I am from, to give the servant gifts." Not common... try an unheard of thing. But she didn't want to make him uneasy, as the others had been when they'd observed more of her mannerisms. In the end she decided she would take it, "Thank you," she said, taking the yellow fruit from him and placing it in the basket. Perhaps it might end up in whatever was going to be made. SkieBorne He nodded when she spoke finally, her obvious discomfort worried him and made him wonder about where she came from. "It's alright, it's fruit. A gift from Forest." Glyph winked, hoping that that might soothe her.
When she took it, he was most relieved and flashed a winsome smile, "You're most welcome my friend! One day would you tell me about where you came from? You've piqued my curiosity." Vesale Even if it was a gift from Forest, the elf still wasn't sure what to think of it. This was an odd place, where people definitely weren't treated the same. Two still wasn't used to that. Where she came from? A question she was not expecting. "I came from a ship." She nodded, a slight hint of confusion on her face. Didn't he know where slaves like her come from? But for now, Two thought she really ought to be getting back to Nashwa and the others, after all, if they were going to cook something for desert then it would have to be done soon otherwise it would not bake in time. "I need to return, but you are free to visit Rio if you wish." The elf gave a bow before turning and walking off to Rio's rooms.

Heading in the Right Direction Solo #6 Words: 517
Honovi sighed as she nudged the door to her makeshift cabin open and dragged herself inside. She'd had no luck in finding the intended host for her masters gem, as hard as she'd tried. By the time she had arrived at the scene depicted in the vision there was no one about, and though she'd searched, there were no clues as to where the one destined to host Plants return had gone.
"I was too late... I'm sorry my lady." She said, dismayed, as she placed the box, and in it, the gem, back on one of the many mantles that were secured to the walls of the home.
If only I'd been sooner, She thought as she retired to her sleeping quarters, a scowl painting her face with obvious disappointment and frustration. Tired from the excitement of the day, and from the prospect of her master being reborn.
The demoness laid her head down, and no sooner had it touched the pillows, had she drifted off into a sleep. One like she had never had before.
In her dream she was alone. There was nothing around her, just darkness everywhere she turned. Then, in the distance, a speck of light appeared.
What?
It was hardly noticable, but the demoness was sure that it was there. And if it was then it must be important. Honovi took one step, then another, then she was running towards it, her hooves not making a sound as she teared across the setting of her dream. All the while as she was running the speck of light was growing, becoming bigger, clearer. Soon the demoness could see a shape, the shape of a human. At least, she thought it was human.
It wasn't long before she was face to face with the image, a ghostly projection of a woman, her hair white as snow and cropped short, with pointed ears and dark eyes, and a strange tattoo on her arm, flailing about helplessly in the water. The scene was familiar but Honovi did not make the connection straight away.
"Who are you?" She said aloud, wondering who it was she was looking at. No reply was given, yet she stared intently at the figure, perplexed.
Then, a voice broke the silence
"It's her." it said.
"Her..." Came the confused reply of Honovi. The voice was familiar, yet not enough that she could place it's owner immediately.
Then, after some thought, it clicked.
"The host!" She cried! Sure that her deduction was correct, remembering the scene she had witness in her vision of a white haired somebody obviously not adept at being in the water.
"Yes!" The reply was cheery. Whoever it was, they were pleased.
Then, the demoness was awake. Honovi's eyes broke open as she broke from her dream and was back in the real world, except she was sure she would be able to sleep no longer.
Now she knew who to look for. Honovi was filled with energy once more, even though she couldn't have been asleep for more than an hour.
The only problem was finding her.

Changes Solo #7 Words: 541
Two was in awe. Total awe of what she had just witnessed. The sky, absent from this realm, had been brought back, anew. It was something she had not expected, she didn't really know what she had been expecting. The Elf had gone along with Rio and the rest of his crew to the ceremony hesitantly, she would have much preferred to be back at home, doing something. But she couldn't say no to the one she thought was her master, and so she'd come along, following the others, wide grey eyes taking everything in.
There was so much to see, the Elf didn't know where to start, or if she would be allowed. She didn't want to ask Rio if she could explore, in fear that perhaps he would look down on her for wanting time to herself. That in it's self was a new experience. She'd never wanted to do anything but serve, but at the festival there was so much she couldn't not want to see everything.
There was music, all kinds, all beautiful, all being played from different instruments, by different people of different races. All had come together to celebrate the rebirth of the sky. There were displays, some people had even put together a puppet play for anyone who would watch, depicting the gods of this place, though all but two of the puppets were foreign to her. There was food, wonderful smelling, enticing. It seemed people had dropped everything to come to this place, to witness what would happen, and for Two it sparked something.
Perhaps there was more to life than serving faithfully and efficiently?
No, she tried to brush the thought aside but it kept coming back, niggling at her from a dark corner of her mind. Two was changing.
Then it started. He started it. The silence was so thick, it didn't take Two too long to figure out who it was that demanded the attention of everyone, even if she did not know his name. He was the God of all. It dumbfounded Two, that this was a place where the Gods walked free, yet here they all were, for everyone to see. Before, Two had never given much thought to gods, to anything much really, but since taking up residence in Rios home, she couldn't ignore it.
The ceremony was beautiful, intricate, and filled the elf with a sense of wonder and shock. They were capable of so much, yet to rebuild the sky took a significant amount of energy and will. As well as participation from many and not just the one of All. As the balls of light floated towards what used to be the sky Two began to change. The ceremony was affecting her. She was beginning to feel a sense of... self. Something she'd never had.
Then the sky was complete. She looked up at it in it's new glory, wondering at the majesty of it, and felt a tear of happiness roll down her cheek. The elf let out a gasp. She'd never cried before, they weren't allowed. But here she was, with a tear trickling down the side of her face. What did this mean? Two wondered.
She didn't know, but she did know she was feeling different.
And she was happy that there was a sky once more.

A Gift? Solo #8 Words: 1049
Honovi was glad she'd decided to go along to the sky rebuilding festival. She wasn't going to, what was the point in celebrating when the one she loved the most was not around, still stuck within a stone? But she'd thought there might be a slim chance that the one she had discovered to be the host for Valli would be there. And as it turned out she was, though she was with a rather large group of people so the Demoness didn't go barging in and demanding she take the gem right there and then. She was also in the company of another god, what of she couldn't tell, but she'd been around them long enough to sense them. She didn't want to cause any trouble.
So she'd watched and waited for the white haired elven woman to be alone but she never was, much to the displeasure of the Aoide. When the ceremony concluded she'd followed them a ways, just so she could know where to find her again. Honovi was so close, she'd been waiting a long time, and she wasn't going to let this host slip through her fingers.
That night she'd lay awake in bed, the chest holding the gem in her hands.
"Perhaps I could place it on her. That'd be quick enough." said the demoness aloud to herself. She didn't really care for the host, who they were and what they wanted. All she cared for was getting her goddess back.
Honovi seemed to come under the impression that maybe this wasn't the way she was meant to go about it, when she'd gotten a feeling of disapproval from the gemstone in her hands. Typical Plant. She sighed.
"Fine, but if she's the one then she'll have you one way or another," she said aloud again.
She alone must make the choice.
"Of course." Honovi scowled. Just once she wished her goddess didn't care so much for others.
She placed the gem aside and tried to get some sleep, figuring in the morning she would track down the elf and present her with the stone. After that all she could do was watch, as much as it pained her, but she didn't want to upset her goddess.
The next morning Honovi was pleasantly surprised when the Elf had gone out to pick some fruit, apples, alone in the orchid. Perfect, she thought to herself.
"Hey there," called out the aoide to the woman, a box in her hands.
"Oh, hello there," came the reply from Two, a nod of her head following. She didn't take her eyes off the fruit and tree picking though. She wanted to get her job done. Even if she'd been having a lot of strange thoughts lately, that still didn't stop her from wanting to be reliable. They had asked for apples and apples she would give them. She could manage talking and picking fruit at the same time.
"I'm Honovi, and I have something for you." She said, trying to entice the other. Honovi wanted so bad to just make her take the gem then and there, but that wouldn't make her master happy. So she was doing it the nice way. Or trying to.
"A.. gift?" came the reply from Two. She was curious and surprised. She'd never gotten a gift in her life. Still, she didn't want to stop and turn around, that meant she would have to stop her picking. Once she started a job she wanted to finish it as fast as possible.
"If you take it, you'd be doing everyone a great favour." She called, hoping that mike pique her interest.
Two kept picking, wondering what she meant. Perhaps it was a trick. She did not know. She was also uncomfortable with receiving the gift, if it was truly one.
The elf turned her head briefly to look at the other. She was different looking, though she'd come to expect that from this place. "It is okay, I do not need gifts, thank you though." She said politely.
"You must!" cried the demoness. She could feel the longing of the gem for the woman. Why couldn't she just force her?! That thought immediately warranted the feeling of reprimanding. Fine, she said to herself.
"I'll just... leave it here..." suggested Honovi. Perhaps it was the only way, as much as she hated the thought of leaving the gem alone. What if she didn't pick it up? But the demoness couldn't think of anything else. So, she placed the small container down where she had been standing and prayed that the elf would take it, before walking away and hiding herself within the trees, watching and waiting and hoping she would take it.
Two watched as she placed it on the ground. What could it be, it was so small. Still, she had a job to do, perhaps once the apples had been picked she could take a look. Moments later her basket was full. She dusted her hands in satisfaction. She went to walk away, almost forgetting about the box and the woman who had left it. But she was gone now. She placed the fruit down and knelt to inspect the box. It was nicely carved, someone had a good eye for detail, covered in flowers, trees, grass, it was a stunning piece. She flicked the small latch and opened it up. Inside lay a small roughly cut stone, it's colors reminiscent of mossy rocks.
"Beautiful.." she let out as she looked over it. She didn't touch it though, for fear of getting it dirty. Still, she wondered why it was important that she take a stone, remembering the insistency of the other. It was, after all, a rock. A pretty one, but still, it was just a rock.
Never the less, the elf woman picked it up and placed it safely in the basket with the apples. Perhaps I can ask the others about it, she thought to herself as she made her way back Rio's quarters. It would make a nice gift for the master, she added.
A distance off the Demon aoide was watching intently. A smile covered her face as she watched the other pick up the box and take it with her. Her master would return!

What is This?Joint RP #4 Featuring Glyph (Skieborne)Words: 1095 LinkVesale Once again the white haired elf was making her way across the Pantheon grounds with a basket full of fruit. This time however, it contained apples. She'd been sent out by the others to gather them in order for desert, apple pies, to be made. Two had no objection being asked to carry out the task, though she had gotten more talkative as of late, even asking questions here and there. The fruit picking hadn't resulted in too much trouble, save for the interruption of that strange woman. Two looked down at the ornate box tucked into the basket with the apples, admiring it's details once more. The bow was made of wood, and shined nicely, and was engraved with intricate patterns of all types of flora, such as trees, flowers, shrubs and grass. It was very beautiful, just as beautiful as the stone she'd discovered inside it, a striking moss green gem. She was still not sure what it was for, and thought that perhaps it would make a good gift to Rio, as a thank you for taking her in, even if the woman had said it was intended for her. What was she to do with a stone? SkieBorne Forest was tending a plot of seedlings in the gardens, newly planted by mortals he wished to help. Mostly fruit trees, they would grow to provide food for the Pantheon's inhabitants in a few years.
Knees, feet, and hands covered in dirt, Glyph wiped a hand over his brow as he looked to the sky and the afternoon sun, smearing some of the dirt on his forehead. He liked the smell of the soil, it always made him smile to dig his toes in or to reach with hands and gently tamp the soil around the base of a seedling.
Yawning, he gave a huge stretch and rocked back to sit crossed-legged in the soil, wiggling his toes as he closed his eyes and concentrated on helping the seedling grow. It wasn't much, truly, but he could help it become established. The sound of footfalls nearby drew his attention and looking up from his meditation, Glyph spotted the basket-bearing-Two. It had been some time since he'd spoken to the girl.... he hoped she was well as he lifted a hand for a friendly wave. Vesale It was funny, thought Two as she noticed Glyph. He really does look like he is a plant. She waved back, making sure not to spill the rather full basket of fruit. However, the added bonus of a box with a gem inside was more than she could manage, and soon the fruit, and the box were on the ground. Two blushed a deep red. It had been such a long time since she'd made a mistake like this. Oh it was terrible, the apples would be bruised she was sure. But she couldn't leave them there, so she started to gather them back up into the basket. Hopefully Glyph hadn't seen. SkieBorne His wave faltered as he watched the woman stumble and spill her fruit all over the ground. There was also a box that looked like it contained something delicate that he winced in sympathy with as it bounced across the ground. He frowned, however, at the flare of power across his senses that came from that direction right in time with the jostling. Did this person bear a Gem?
If so, which Gem? Curiosity mingled with compassion as he strode over and knelt to pick the fruit up, a few nestled in the crook of his arm as he retrieved the box and held it out to her. There was very definitely a divine signature there, familiar and pulsing with life. Turning an expectant gaze on her, she smiled, "I believe you dropped something." Vesale Although she was embarrased she had spilled her fruit, she was grateful that the God had come to help her pick up her mess. She managed to get most of them back in the basket and waited for the rest of the fruit from Glyph. "Oh!" She said, realizing the small box had been dropped as well. "Thankyou," she said, hoping that it was still okay. "I was given it by a strange woman. The box is quite nice and there is a rather nice stone inside." She explained, perhaps in a bit more detail than she would of since she first arrived her. Rio and his crew were rubbing off on her. "It's pretty, I was thinking maybe I could gift it to Rio, as a thank you. You can take a look if you want." She nodded. Sure, she felt a drawing to the stone, but she thought that might have been the words that the one who'd given it to her had spoken. SkieBorne "Nice stone inside?" He repeated, holding the fruit out to her and flicking the lid open to reveal the mossy green gem inside. It was pulsing quite obviously to Glyph, a yearning in the aura he was quite familiar with and glanced at Two, arching a brow, "I don't think this is a gift for Rio, actually..."
His smile was a little perplexed, "You don't feel tempted to take this?" In his experience, mortals were drawn to their stone as much as the stone was drawn to them... an almost magnetic attraction between the two. Glyph's respect for Two soared as he considered this - her willpower must be astounding to carry her gem and not be tempted. "This is a Gem, Two. One of my kin..." He bit his lip, suddenly uncertain as to what to say.
It was her choice to take it, in the end, but if she did not, one of their number would not be rebirthed. He sighed, "Before you take it though, I think you should know what it means. Has anyone explained our rebirths to you?" Vesale Two listened to his words with interest. Tempted? Sure she did, but she figured it was just the feeling one got when they were given something. Perhaps she was meant to have it, if the Forest god was asking her about her feelings. Now that he mentioned it the feeling was quite strong. "Your kin?" She asked, perplexed at his statement. A gem, yes she could see that, but kin? That meant this was part of his family? But as far as she knew gods did not grow from stones. They just were. "Take it? What do you mean? Rebirths?" She was spilling out questions now, a big change to the way she was, but she didn't really know what he was talking about. Questions were the best way to get answers after all, she had come to discover. SkieBorne He remained silent for a time, surprised that Two was so... chatty. Last he remembered she'd been reluctant to even accept help, which he realized she'd done so with thanks rather then a short retort. Hn... Rio and his group were rubbing off on her, that was good.
The questions, however, were serious ones and he shifted on his feet as he thought it over. Should he speak plainly or couch the truth in sugar? The second was dismissed almost as soon as it was considered - it was unfair and did little to respect her or the sacrifice she would be making.
"My kin, yes," Glyph shifted the pendant that hung about his neck and tugged the collar of his shirt away to reveal the gem sunk into his chest where the collar bones met, the tiny lines like that of a tree's rings, "See? Every one that has no yet come into themself bears a Gem." A sad smile passed over his lips, of lessons learned and knowledge that he still had more to discover, "We Fell, Two. The Gods were lost for Ages... We are returning, finally, but we are not complete. Each and every Gem lacks something that only a Mortal can provide."
Replacing his shirt, he smoothed it down and set the Council Star back in place, "The Gem is attracted to the Mortal and the Mortal to the Gem because the Mortal possesses some trait, some characteristic that is crucial for the God within the Gem, do you understand? When the two connect, they fuse and the Mortal becomes Host to the God, the means by which the divine spark will be reignited and given a chance to reform.
"However, said process consumes the Mortal in the process, body and soul... it is a sacrifice the Mortal makes. They become an integral part of the God or Goddess who grows from them. Once you take it, it cannot be given back." Glyph's tone was serious but kind as he explained everything from the god's point of view, he knew very well what Malh'reth had thought early on and even at the end... but it would be too different among the Mortals to give that account.
"That is why I wanted you to understand your choice before you make it." There too, was the ring of truth for his Host hadn't made a choice and had reacted badly even though Glyph was not a violent soul. Vesale Two listened, more interested in hearing what he had to say than anything she had ever heard before. She wanted to get to the bottom of the stone, the gem that was in the box, and what it had to do with her. Who better than a god to explain everything to her, even if she wasn't quite expecting to learn some of things he would have to say. Grey eyes watched as he pulled away his shirt to show her what was underneath. So they were reborn, in gems. That was something she hadn't considered, the elf figuring that the gods just were. Learning that they had fallen kind of scared her. Something that was able to do that to a god, to cause them to almost cease to exist, that was something frightening. Valli wondered what kind of thing, being or otherwise, was capable of such strength. "This god, or goddess, needs something I have?" She spoke, almost whispered it, the idea so crazy to her. That she, a lowly servant elf, could have something that was required to bring a deity back to life. Two was surprised, and a bit skeptical but she didn't let it show, she didn't want to put Glyph off. His story was interesting, and it made her think that perhaps she was worthy of something after all, a feeling she'd never really had before. "I.. would die." She spoke, not a question but a statement, confirming her understanding of what he was saying. That certainly tainted her view on things, though certainly it didn't dissuade her, just made her more... wary of the choice she had to make. It was a lot to take in. Two didn't speak for some time, processing everything he'd said and trying to come up with a decision, but nothing concrete came to mind. "Thank you for telling me this, Glyph." She spoke softly, wondering about his own story of rebirth. SkieBorne Glyph nodded at her question, "You have something unique, something the Gem needs to be whole again. It's different among all of us."
However, her belief that she would die made Glyph shake his head, "No... not death - not death in the traditional sense. Ankou and Nergal wouldn't come for your soul and usher you into the afterlife... your soul would merge and give sustenance to the deity of the gem. Our first, and most important sacrifice of this existence. Some retain more traits and quirks then others - I've been told a few have even passed their influence on their mortal host, allowing them to inherit the mantle of power." The way he spoke, he hadn't done that.
A soft smile played across his lips as he rubbed his gem thoughtfully, "I'll never forget my host, and I'll be eternally grateful for his sacrifice, aspects of him will live on through me... so in that way, you won't technically 'die' Two. It's hard to explain." He looked at the box in his hand and then to her, "In the end, it is your choice - know that if you do, it cannot be undone but your sacrifice will usher in the return of a god."
He could tell she wanted to hear of his own rebirth but he'd never really spoken that story to anyone. It was a personal experience, unique to each of the gems. Glyph watched her for several heart beats before he gave a shrug, "My own rebirth is not yet complete... I will let you know when it is, though." A soft laugh. Vesale Two still could not imagine what a god or a goddess would want from her. It was an odd thing to wonder, what you had that someone might lack or need. She listened once more as he spoke about the joining, fusing? It sounded complex, and she wasn't sure she quite understood what he meant. So she would not die, not completely anyway? Instead she would fuse? Her body and mind? She wondered if Glyph retained anything from his host. She was surprised at his comment of not being fully reborn. She'd just assumed that once the gem and person met then the god would be born completely. Perhaps not. "I... think I have a lot of thinking to do." She said softly, staring at the box which contained the gem. Then, without warning, she hurried off, all her thoughts on the gem in the case and what she was going to do.

So.
It was a god? In a gem? A god in a gem. That was something Two was not expecting to hear. And it had chosen her to bring it back to life? Another fact Two had found hard to believe. The Elf didn't know how she thought gods came about, she just thought that they were. She certainly hadn't expected to learn that they had Faded and were now making their return in the form of gems that are attached to a mortal host.
A host.
That was what she was meant to be? It seemed to be the case. Otherwise why would the horned woman beg her to take the gem.
Two wasn't quite sure how she felt about this. Had she been told to take the gem before, back when she was in service to the man who had pushed her off of a cliff and landed her in this place she would have done it with no questions. But now, she was starting to have a sense of independence. But now it was going to be taken away? Yet she felt as if it was a job to do, and she always did what she was told.
Glyph's talk had been very convincing though, as it would if it meant one of your own would return. Two couldn't help feeling sad that there was a god, or a godess for that matter, trapped within the stone, and that she was the one would could set it free. That was a lot of pressure. A lot of pressure for one who'd never really had to deal with any sort of pressure like this before. She'd had the pressures of demanding masters, but nothing like the life or death of another. That was completely different!
And what was it that the god or goddess sought from her, what was it that set her apart from the millions of others who were capable mortals. What trait was it that was desired from the one inside the gem. That was another thing that got Two thinking. As far as she could tell there wasn't anything outstanding about herself. She was just a slave, one who was so set in her ways that it made it almost impossible for her to act like a normal person. Whatever it was she made sure she'd remember to ask them about it. If she took the gem, that was.
She hadn't looked at the stone since her talk with Glyph, leaving it in the box and sitting it in a corner of her room. But she couldn't stop staring at it. It was like it was calling to her. She could feel the pull even in this room. Still though, she could turn it down. What would happen then? Surely the other gods would catch wind that she had turned down one of their own. They probably wouldn't be happy.
The last thing Two wanted was to have a Pantheon full of angry gods coming after her. A brief image crossed her mind, of the sky rebuilding ceremony. There had been many there who had assisted that she was now sure were gods. Their displays were captivating, but also she realized that the really were quite powerful.
And what about Rio? She enjoyed serving him, being a part of his company. He was nice, the others were nice. And they endured her questionable temperament. Would he be angry? She didn't want to upset him. And the others, Sarka and Nashwa. Her... friends? Two'd never had friends before in her life, but that seemed to be the best word for them. Would they miss her? Be upset? Perhaps she wasn't the first mortal to have this happen that they new.
Two walked over to the table that the box containing the god sat on and opened the lid. There it was, the earthy green gem, waiting for her to take it. What had Glyph said? To set it on her skin. Then the pair would fuse. Then what, would she be gone straight away? Not a chance to say goodbye? Perhaps it would be better that way.
It is your choice.
Two took a step back at the voice. She looked around but there was no one else around. Was it... the rock? It was talking to her? She reached out to touch it but held back, for fear of the fuse happening then and there.
I can help you remember your past.
Her past? Two could only remember her life as a slave, nothing before that. Did she have more? Had she had a life before her slavery? The thought was too crazy to believe, but she wanted to, badly. That there was a chance there was more to her life than her miserable existence up until now, that was something more tempting to her than anything before.
Perhaps it would be a worthy sacrifice, her life for her memories. Even if she couldn't get back to her old life, she could at least have the chance to remember them.
What had Glyph said, place it on the skin? But where, she pondered, her mind made up that she would offer her body to the god within the gem.
She rubbed an hand on her arm, nervous at the idea of fusing with another. Then it hit her. The barcode. She would place the gem over the barcode. After all, that barcode was what showed her for what she was, a slave, if it was gone, or even just covered, would she feel a greater sense of freedom? Perhaps, but it was the best place she could think of, symbolically.
Pleased with her idea, Two carefully picked up the gem and held it against the barcode and waited. For a few moments nothing happened. And then it seemed to melt into her skin, the sensation causing discomfort for the elf.
Thank you
That was the last thing she heard before she passed out on the floor of her room, her arms and legs splayed across the floor.

Fresh FacesJoint RP #5 Featuring Sarka & Rio (Meepfur)Words: 1297LinkVesale It was some time before Two stirred. She was sore all over... and on the floor? What had happened? The elf rubbed a hand down her arm before she remembered. That's right. The gem. Her fingers traced it's shape as she remembered how she'd gotten to be here. She'd decided to place the gem on her arm... and then she'd blacked out. And there was a voice? She listened for a few moments but couldn't hear anything. Perhaps she was imagining it. And she was still alive. Maybe the stone hadn't worked. Two wasn't quite sure what was meant to happen. "Uhh..." she let slip as she tried to get up, her head spinning. She slowly made her way to the kitchens to get a drink of water to calm her head. Meepfur Sarka had been laying under the window at the end of the hall, stretched out on pillows and enjoying the warm sunlight, when she heard steps on the tile. Even before looking to see who had emerged, she knew it had to be either Two or Iden, as everyone else who was here with any frequency had either hooves or paws. A quick glance confirmed that it was their elven guest, but something seemed...off about her. More so than usual, anyway; she'd always found Two somewhat disconcerting, though it was through no fault of the elf's.
Curiosity piqued, the liontaur rose and followed her to the kitchen to ask, "Are you well?" Vesale The elf seemed to barely notice the liontaur perched under the window, her mind definitely elsewhere. Odd for the elf who was normally very observant. "Hmm?" She mumbled, squinting. Was it always this bright in here? "Oh, Sarka!" She said, suddenly realizing who was talking to her. The elf tried to regain her rigid posture, but it was painful, so she remained slouched. What was going on? "I... I think so," she said, not sounding so sure of her words. "I think I just need a drink..." The elf took another few steps towards the kitchen before losing her some of her strength, leaning against the wall for support. Something was definitely up. Meepfur Sarka had to hand it for Two for trying to lie, to claim that all was well, but her body betrayed her. Something was clearly not right. The liontaur's gaze darted over the elf's form, looking for any evidence of what ailed her.
...ah, there, where her odd tattoo was, a green gem set in her flesh. So nothing ailed her, after all. "I see now why you fell from the sky, or what passed for it at the time. Though why into a lake, I think, will always escape me."
"Here, sit. I will get you a drink." As she had the first time they'd met, Sarka fetched a glass with her magic, then filled it from the sink before giving it to Two. Vesale "I am not sure what is happening," she said softly, propping herself against the wall as she sat down. "Thank you..." she muttered as the liontaur fetched the her a drink, which she gladly took and drank it just as fast as Sarka had fetched it for her. The elf groaned, she was sore all over. Perhaps she should have stayed in bed. "Is... this meant to happen?" She asked, referring to the gem but not speaking of it directly, scared of what the other might think of her for taking the gem. Meepfur The magic user considered both the elf and her question, her tufted tail flicking at her paws while she thought. Taking care of people was not precisely her expertise, nor were gods. "My knowledge of this subject is limited, but in my understanding, yes. Still, I can find Rio if you wish? He can tell you more than I."
Sarka wasn't usually quick volunteer herself for any tasks she considered servant-like, but the others were out, and she was of little use on her own in this situation, so she would fetch the god. Vesale Perhaps Sarka would not be able to help her, if she did not know much about her situation. Still, it was comforting to know that she was around, she had saved her once before and that had made Two feel a lot more comfortable when the liontaur was around, even if she did not show it. "That would be good," she said softly, unsure of what Rio would say. Would he be mad at her? Mad he had lost a servant? Would he throw her out then and there? Then what? Two was very worried. Meepfur Sarka nodded, then off she went to search for Love. It was hardly the quickest of errands, since she didn't know where he was, but she did eventually track him down and tell him what was happening. So it was that twenty minutes later, Rio appeared, minus Sarka; she had decided to leave the god issues up to him and find something else to do. Neither Rio nor Two would need her hovering around.
"Two?" the god padded barefoot into the kitchen, looking to the elf to see that she did, indeed, have a gem. He couldn't truly say he was surprised, given the way she'd come to them. "How are you feeling?" Vesale "Rio?" spoke the elf, though quietly than she normally would. Oh, Rio! Shouldn't she be doing something? How stupid of her to be burdening him with her problems. "I'm sorry, I'm sure it will pass, there are things you require me to do?" She asked, sure that he was here to give her a job to do. Two, in an attempt to reassure the Love God that she was indeed, fine and fit to work, tried to stand herself up against the wall she was slouched against, but it was no use. Her knees buckled and she soon fell back down to the ground. "...Did I do something wrong?" She whispered, one hand clutching the area where the gem had been inserted. She was sure she would be scolded for choosing this, Two was certain Rio would be angry she had chosen to serve another over him, though nothing seemed to have happened. How stupid she had been. Meepfur "No, there's nothing I need you to do," Rio assured her, but barely had time to shake his head before Two tried to get up and subsequently fell back down. The god moved quickly to catch and steady her. "I don't think you should be doing anything, dear."
He frowned and considered her for a moment before gathering her in his arms, if she allowed it, intending to carry her to the comfort of the sitting room."You've done nothing wrong, don't worry. On the contrary, it seems you've done what you were brought here to do." Vesale "But..." The elf tried to protest, it was her job, she was meant to be doing something, what kind of servant was she if she could not manage to do something? Two was too weak to object, so she let the god carry her to the sitting room, thoroughly embarrassed that she had to rely on her master to care for her. Shouldn't it be the other way around? "Brought here to do...?" Sure, she had known what the gem was, thanks to Glyph, but she still did not connect the idea that her being in this realm was just so she could be part of the rebirth of a god. Meepfur Rio set her gently down in a nest of pillows. Whether or not Two thought so, he did think he should be taking care of her, even if she now officially belonged to someone else. "Now don't try to get up this time, alright? You might hurt yourself."
"You do know what that gem is, don't you?" Vesale "Okay," replied Two, still upset that she wasn't up and about doing things like the others. Instead she was here making what she thought was a fool of herself. "Glyph told me, it's a god, or a goddess? Like him, and you?" She mumbled, still not sure she believed him entirely, after all, why had nothing happened? All she had was a stone on her arm. "But I think I've done something wrong... nothing has happened." She wondered if he could help her figure out what was going on. Meepfur "Like us," he confirmed, lifting his shirt to reveal the dark, pinkish gem sunk into the flesh of his stomach. "Nothing has happened? They may be taking their time, gathering their strength. Have you heard a voice, had strange dreams, anything?" Vesale When Rio showed her his stomach the elf's eyes grew wide. So it was true, they really were reborn from stones! So at least she had done something right, she though as she rubbed the spot on her arm where her gem had sunk in. "I don't think so... oh wait, I remember hearing something just after I'd placed the gem on my arm. I think it was thank you. That's all I can remember though.." she trailed off, hoping that Rio would not be disappointed, after all, this was one of his kin, as Glyph had put it. She was sure he would be made if they were not reborn. Suddenly she felt a stirring in her mind, but it wasn't hers. Something else was occupying it. The sensation was very strange, and one that cast a very peculiar expression upon her face. Mmmm... so this is what rebirth feels like..."Hello?" Muttered Two rather quietly, her eyes scanning the room for someone else, but as far as she could tell it was only her and Rio that were there. Meepfur Rio couldn't truly say he was disappointed, at least not completely. It wouldn't be fair. From the very beginning, it had seemed almost certain that Two would be host, given the manner of her arrival. He'd expected it to happen sooner or later. And yet...he would have liked to have had her longer, long enough to get to see her recover more fully, to get to know her better as herself.
When she spoke aloud, but clearly not to him, he smiled a little. "You don't have to speak out loud to talk to them. Think, and they'll hear you."
Alex had liked to speak to him out loud regardless, but Two might like more privacy. Vesale "Oh," she said simply when he said she did not have to speak aloud, her cheeks flushing red slightly, even if she wasn't to know this. Hello? She prodded, wondering if it was the right way to communicate. Rio would certainly be entertained by the faces she was pulling. Hello, came a reply, though it was quiet. So... you're the goddess? Two asked, not one hundred percent sure it was a goddess, but there was something about the voice that made her think it was. Yes, Valli, of Plants, Abundantern Saedis.Nice... to meet you. Two replied, not quite sure what to make of it all. She was still tired from the joining, evidently her goddess was too, judging from the quietness of her replies. "She says her name is Valli." This she spoke aloud to Rio, thinking he deserved to know who it was that was taking her over. Please, give him my thanks."She says thank you." Two repeated, then the elf winced, a sudden pain in her head. She was feeling weak again, she could tell the goddess was feeling the same way. The elf moaned, wondering if she would ever feel better. Meepfur It was rather entertaining to watch Two's face while she talked with her goddess, mostly because he was very familiar with that sort of internal conversation. He smiled a little, and when the elf spoke again, he assured the pair, "It's nothing, really."
"What goddess is she?" Even as he asked, Two winced, and he moved forward to touch her forehead. "Are you alright?" Vesale "Oh, she said Plants." Two thought she'd said it before, but apparently not. Seemed she was more tired than she realized. "I'm just exhausted still, it's getting to my head." She replied when he showed concern. It was still strange to her that he was looking out for her, but she wasn't going to deny his help, she was too weak at this point. Hello? She called out in her conscious, but no reply came back. "She's gone, I think." Two said again to Rio. "I think I should go and rest some more." Two nodded, trying to move but finding she was still not strong enough. It wasn't long before the elf had her eyes closed and had fallen asleep on the couch Rio had placed her on. Meepfur "She's probably as tired as you are. Fusing takes a fair amount out of us, too, if not in a physical way." It took much more out of the host, of course. Alex had had particular trouble with that, needing to feed so badly she'd nearly killed someone. ...not that she had had the best control under good circumstances, either.
But that was neither here nor there, at the moment. "You should," Rio agreed, promptly scooping her up again and taking her across the hall into Adi's old room, where he put her gently on the bed. She should be able to rest better here, where no one else would come in and disturb her.
Once she was settled, he left and shut the door behind him.
