 Echo smiled at that. "That is indeed the case..." A lesson she had at first struggled with, clinging to her fading mortality and to the values of her host. But she had overcome, and it was good that Cosine had learned that lesson early.
"Through I think that is also valid for all of us. My children grow more independent as they grow and reach out for the world around them. Even I.. With power come responsibility, with responsibility come duty. We are what we are, Cosine." She reached out for another cookie. "If we do not shape the world around us, if we do not influence mortals, then what good would gods be ?"

Cosine gave the goddess a sideways glance and a bit of a grin.
"So true oh wise one." She teased affectionately. "Seriously though, it is so right. We faded because we ignored those that aided our existence. No, not just aided, were the reason for our existence." She breathed in a little, savouring the scents of the garden. "Ankou and I are going on a small journey soon. Infinity discovered some mortals in need of help. I feel it would be best for me to go in person. Convince them that all is not lost."

"I seem to have learned a few things along the way." Was the amused reply to Cosine's first statement. They all did learn - it was inevitable.
"Oh ?" Consider Echo's curiosity piqued. "Do you know what is happening to them ?" Surely nothing she or Ankou couldn't deal with, strong in their rebirth as they both were, now. Even she knew better than to worry.

Cosine smirked a little and looked up to the sky.
"I'm not one hundred percent sure. I think they are just trapped. Stuck in their town or temple with no hope. The world has been ravaged and although we have the means to pick ourselves up and dust ourselves up. I am not sure everyone does."

"That is true..." That was something she'd learned, on her way to the World Tree. So many yet did not know...
"It is good to reach out." She said with a nod. "Bring them hope... Shelther if they need it."
She should do so again herself, now that her children did not need her as much as they once did.

Cosine nodded and smiled, reaching for a cookie herself.
"Exactly. Especially if times will get rougher." She took a bite of the cookie and chewed on it happily. "Now, tell me more of what you have been doing."

"Especially then." Echo nodded once again. During Gehenna, she had felt more needed than she'd ever felt in her own rebirth, through the fact that mortals still turned to her after the end was adverted was... definitively pleasing, she had to admit.
"That's a tall order." She said, laughing. "I hope you're well-seated, sister..."
