Attacus walked on the side of Sayoko so he could continue to see the changing colors. He was caught a bit off guard H by her question and kind of did not want to answer it. He didn't like saying anything bad about another, but he also knew that telling the truth was important...at least to him. He answered thoughtfully, "I think they mean well, but my mom is very forgetful and sometimes forgets about me, and my dad seems to pay more attention to my sister than to me."
Attacus didn't really like to think much on this subject, it made him feel sort of lonely even with Sayoko by his side. He moed his mind back to the colors and the twinkling. "Are the twinkles in the sky that are leaving more of the bugs?" He asked changing the subject.

Sayoko took a deep breath and tried to center her thoughts before she spoke her next words. She didn't want to upset the little foal or speak ill of anyone. "I can understand that, every parent means well?" She had no real idea herself because she had no children to call herself and wondered if she ever really would. She didn't want to lead the little one astray or on the wrong path so she decided to quickly add more to it. "Perhaps he pays more attention to her for adult hood? I apologize but I have no idea really...”She let her last words end in almost a whisper because she was starting to feel like she was letting the little foal down. "If it helps you any, Attacus, I could never forget you?" She phrased it as a question because she had no idea if it would help or hurt, but it was nothing but truth to her. Sayoko knew that he had wanted to change subjects but she wasn't really done speaking on the matter and had only just a few things more to speak of before she wanted to change the subject for herself. It was a depressing matter she imagined, talking about being forgotten; she wondered if the others she treated badly had a hollow feeling when they spoke of their experience with her. She began to frown again but answered his question about the bugs none the less. "No the twinkles in the sky I believe are called stars; I have often heard stories about them when I was on the mountain." She smiled down at the little foal; it wasn't her best smile but just a small one to show him that it was a pleasure and not a pain.

Attacus took in her words. "For adulthood," he thought. He wasn't sure what that meant but maybe they thought he was already good at taking care of himself because he often left them for hours. He wasn't sure, he didn't know if he really cared he still felt the sting of jealousy and he didn't like that feeling. So he shook of that feeling shaking his head as he did so.
Attacus gave a smile at her next words. She seemed to know what to say to make his spirits lift. "I'll never forget you either," He said with a big grin.
His eyes started to get droopy. He was growing tired and his whole body was starting to grow heavy. He had expended a lot of energy this night. He tried to fight the feeling. He started to talk in little fits of excitement. "Oh Stars! Maybe the bugs fly to them and that is where they go" He ran around flitting here and there randomly and than stopped right in front of Sayoko "But where do the stars go?" He said in a serious tone.

The mare was shocked by both his assumption and question that it made her stop walking. She blinked a few times as her brain tried to come up with some sort of logical explanation as to where the stars might disappear too. It seemed logical that the bugs would fly to the stars but if the stars vanished, wouldn't that mean the same for the bugs? "You know...I have no idea." She decided to be blunt and totally honest with him. “I have never heard any stories about where the stars go, but if hey vanish and the bugs fly to the stars wouldn't that mean that the bugs would vanish too?" She contemplated her question out loud, but it only made another question form in her mind. "If that is the case, then wouldn't it stand to reason that the stars really don't disappear? That means that they lose their glow right?!" Her eyes grew wide at this thought, the sun coming out and making the stars lose their shine; does that mean they get cold?

Now that Attacus had stopped moving he found himself growing even more tired. He laid down as he listened to what she said. His eyelids growing heavier and heavier with each word. He fluttered his wings quickly trying to keep himself awake. He was having a hard time following her thoughts. "The sun glows" he said with a little excitement and a small shake of his wings. But the small burst quickly left him. "Will you tell me a story?" He asked in a sleepy tone.
His thoughts drifted off to stars glowing and vanishing and turning into bugs. He didn't seem to care that he had just laid down on the trail they had been following. He was too young and carefree to worry about the dangers of such an action.

Yoko smiled down at him and nudged him towards the side of the path. "I'll tell you a story only if you lay in the grass." She winked at him playfully, she was sure that his parents would be upset if he came back covered in dirt or got bitten by something weird. "What kind of a story would you like to hear?" She asked as she walked over to the soft grass and laid down in it herself. "I don't know many but I know some, perhaps it would be more fun if we made up one?" She grinned at him mischievously, the idea of making up a fairy tale sounded like a lot more fun then telling one already known. Her long black hair seemed to rest around her and under her as she rest in the grass.

Attacus hesitated at the nudge and then tried to crawl before actually getting up to walk to better resting spot. The idea of the her telling him a story was what got him to his feet. He really wanted to hear a story specially after a long night like he had. He was excited for a story that he felt a little more awake. Once he got up he found pieces of dirt and twigs stuck to him from the path and he could now tell where the twigs had been digging into him. He was now glad she made him move because the grassy spot would be softer and more comfortable.
"An adventure story!" he said with the bit of hyper excitement left in him. His parents often told him adventure stories and they were his favorite. They were usually tales of their journeys and all the Soquili they had met. He had never thought of making one up.
"You can make them up?" He asked curiously. He thought about it and the games he played with his sister were sometimes like stories and they made them up. "Ok! I'll go first," he said without waiting for her answer to his previous question. He felt confident now. He had a clear idea of how he thought a made up story should go.
He laid in the grass and shifted himself to get comfortable before starting. Taking on a important sounding tone he started, "One time...at night when the twinkling lights and twinkling bugs were out....like we saw! There was a pretty mare with long hair watching the twinkling lights and day dreaming."
Changing back to his normal voice he said, "Ok now it's your turn. What is she dreaming about?" He was excited to see what she would come up with.

She found herself enjoying his energy and enthusiasm for making up an adventure story. Her sister never really wanted to do anything of the sort, she just wanted to run around and play all the time. She smiled at him and without hesitating or missing a beat she picked up where he left off. "She is day dreaming about a handsome stallion who will come in and capture her heart. What kind of stallion is he?" She couldn't help but giggle a little at herself because she couldn't remember how many times she found herself day dreaming about the very same thing when she was younger.
