The god's laughter died down eventually, and he peered down at the cheetah. Hmm, yes. He supposed a creature like this one would probably never have this sort of opportunity, he couldn't imagine something so puny ever scaring anything like this. So he shrugged and conceded that Buluu had a point.
He shifted to stand, and for a moment it looked like he would forget where his paw was and squish the cheetah, but fortunately shifted his weight in time and simply stepped over the cheetah casually, deciding to sit on his other side and give him enough room to move.
"Isn't it obvious? I'm a god."

Buluu's fear hadn't subsided completely but he was a little bit more sure that the lion wasn't going to kill him. He watched as the lion shifted his body to stand and for a moment he caught his breathe thinking the lion was going to smash him with his body weight. He released his breathe once the lion had stepped over him and moved to the other side and sat down. Carefully he rolled and sat up in a position that faced the lion so he could see all the lion was doing at all times.
The lions reply to his question came as a bit of a suprise. He had never heard of a god before. "A god? What is a god?" He asked completely unfamiliar with the term and the beings.

You know, that was a rather deep question, though the cheeta didn't realize it. Deep enough to stump Raiden, because even though he was a god, he never really thought about what it meant to be a god. He briefly tried to recall if he had ever thought about it in a past life, but none of the memories that had passed over seemed to include this.
"Well, a god is... We can be a lot of things. We usually have a domain we... represent?" He had never met anyone that didn't, but who knows, nothing was impossible. "And we're kind of immortal." and just generally better than you guys, he might have added. But even Raiden didn't go around advertising he thought that way.

Buluu was still stumped on what a god was yet it seemed that this question was enough to stumped the god too. Even so more questions arose to Buluu's mind and his curiousity had become active now.
"So there's more than one god out there?" He asked with more questions ready to go. "What kinds of domains can gods represent? What do you represent?" Not knowing anything about gods he didn't know anything about what the term immortal meant either. "Immortal?? What is Immortal? Is it something that only gods have?"

This wasn't exactly Raiden's idea of fun, answering questions about godliness in general. It felt weird somehow, though, he supposed it was as good a way as any to show off how cool gods were compared to mortals. "Yes, there are more than one. There are all kinds of domains." He was pretty sure everything that existed had some god representing it, and even some things that didn't exist. The main difference was how strong each of these gods were.
"I'm the god of thunder." To accentuate, he raised a paw and stomped it on the ground, but rather than a thump, the sound that came out was a loud crackle, as if lighting had hit the floor nearby. (He controlled it, though, because he didn't want the cheetah's ears to actually ring from the sound) "Immortality is... Well, mortals, like you, when you die, you're dead." As far as he knew, anyways. He suspected only Mkodi truly knew what happened to mortals when they passed the gates. "When us gods die, we're reborn."
He wasn't so sure he wanted to answer more questions now, but waited around to see if the next question would be worth his time.

Buluu was certainly learning a thing or two and was extremely interested now as the god explained everything to him. As the god stomped his paw on the ground Buluu was not expecting the sound that came. The rumble shook through Buluu and the whole experience left him trembling on the ground for several moments.
"Amazing!" Buluu exclaimed after the god was done speaking. "So you command the thunder of the storms. Wow. It's almost hard to believe." He stated as he shook his head while trying to absorb the information. "So in actuality you can die but you'll come back? Does that mean you come back as a baby and start all over?"

Raiden was quite pleased with the reaction to his little show there, and even sat a little taller with a small smirk on his face. Yep, thunder, really cool. At his next question Raiden shrugged. "Most of the time, I guess." But he did remember at least one past life (a very short one) where he had come back already as an adult.
He yanwed then, not really caring if it could be considered rude. "Look, this has been all fun and dandy, but I've got storms to conduct," And other mortals to pester. "So you're got one more question, then I'm off, got it?"

Buluu wasn't too suprised by the vagueness of the answer he got as it seemed that the god didn't really have that much to say to his questions. He did answer them just not with as much detail as Buluu would have liked and now it seemed his questioning time was going to be over.
He pondered hard on exactly what he wanted his last question to be and a rather important one came to his mind. He decided it would be his last for the god. "I can handle that. I do apprieciate you not eating me and answering the questions I have asked. For my last question to you I would like to know... What is your name?"

To Raiden, that almost seemed like a wasted question, because Buluu already had the most important part. Raiden was thunder, wasn't that more important than knowing something as silly as his current name? But he supposed mortals cared about such things. The god stood, seeming at first like he wouldn't even bother to answer.
"My name is Raiden, if you must know." He said, and spread his wings once more. "And goodbye." The god vanished, or it looked like he did. For a few moments a tiny black hummingbird fluttered in the air, and a slow, almost thunder-like rumble came from the beating of its wings. It briefly regarded the cheetah, then it was gone.
