“Hmm, you are grass type!” Sasha proudly proclaimed. Not only was she wrong, since Ivysaurs were a dual type, but the half she guessed correctly should have been obvious to anyone with a set of eyes. She was all smiles, though, at least until she saw the offended look on Tulip’s face. “Well, you said I could show you my move…..” Sasha trailed off, “I wanted to see what type you were….” Lightly biting her lip, she asked, “Should I not of done that?” She didn’t mean to offend the Ivysaur, but she certainly did look like she had taken offense.
“Why did you do that?!” Lexi exclaimed as she rushed over. “I told you it’s rude to lick people! You can’t go around doing that Sasha!” Lexi could not believe that Sasha had just done that. Turning to Tulip, she quietly said, “I am so sorry, Tulip. I must have told her a million times that that is rude and that she can’t do that.” Turning back to Sasha, she stated, in a much louder tone, “Sasha! Apologize to Tulip!”
Obviously saddened that she had unknowingly offended the Ivysaur, Sasha, her gaze looking downward, murmured out, “I’m sorry Tulip.”

"I-it's okay," Tulip replied, trying to regain her normally calm, collected composure. She'd never been licked before, not even by any Ghost-types. She absently wondered if Sasha was part Ghost-type, but the thought was quickly removed from her mind. "Technically I'm a Grass and Poison-type." There was still a bit of annoyance in her voice, as she made sure she got all the slobber off.
Tulip's Ivysaur ears twitched, "Did you say that was your move?" She thought, the only types of Pokemon she'd heard had that move were Ghost-types. The earlier thought came back to her. "I wonder if you're part Ghost-type." she thought out loud, to no one in particular.
"Anyway," she shook her head, taking a deep breath with her eyes closed. "We were going to pick berries." She said this latter in a tone that was like she was trying to remind herself what they'ed come out here for. Opening her eyes, she smiled. "Okay, let's do this."

“Well, I was half right then!” Sasha added, unable to contain her excitement. Half was much better than not at all! “You are definitely more grass then poison, though. Poison doesn’t taste sweet, not like grass.” Sasha was glad that Tulip seemed ok with what had happened; the annoyance in Tulip’s tone was lost on the girl.
Giggling, Sasha replied, “Ghost type? I’m not a Ghost type, silly. I’m no more a ghost then Lexi is!” She didn’t know what she was, but there was no way she could be a ghost. For one, she loved bright colorful things and enjoyed going out in the daylight. There was certainly nothing ghost like about that!
Laughing, Lexi added, “Of course she isn’t a ghost. Maybe some Water types know that move?” She then added, in a tone that was certainly not amused, “She is certainly slobbery enough to give a watery lick.” She couldn’t help but remember the time she had been coated with the slobber.
“Yes…she has plenty of saliva…” Slipping her hand into her pouch, she pulled out Myrrh and said, to the stone, “No ghost types here, right Myrrh?”
Unbeknownst to all, deep down insider her rock, Myrrh was laughing.
Clutching the rock tightly, Lexi looked up at Tulip and said, “Sorry again for that…” She really hoped that Tulip would still want to come back and visit again, or that she would still want them to visit her.
“I can’t wait to pick them!” Sasha exclaimed, cutting in. She really was excited to pick those berries.

Tulip shrugged, "I suppose a Water-type could learn it, I know a lot of Water-types, but none of them know it. But, like, Sasha doesn't look like any of the Water-types I know." She went over the moves she knew. She knew Knock Off, which wasn't a move most Grass or Poison-Types knew. You do have a point, I mean, I know a Dark-type move. And I'll tell ya, it REALLY can come in handy!"
Closing her eyes and waving her hand to dismiss the licking, Tulip decided to get the conversation back on track. "Okay, are these the berry bushes over here?" She pointed to what was obviously one of the plants, trying to get everyone's mind, including hers off of the rather unconventional move Sasha had used earlier.

“And I know a Grass-type move!” Lexi chimed in. “Though, really, despite Raltses, like me, being psychic, I have always thought we would fit in amongst Grass-Types….” It was a common enough thought for Lexi, which could possibly explain why she was so attached to the other girl. Despite their different types, she still felt some sort of kinship with the girl. “What do you think Tulip?” she asked, somewhat hopeful that the Ivysaur would feel the same way.
“Yep!” both Lexi and Sasha seemed to exclaim in unison. Neither of the girls could wait to learn the secrets of Tulip’s berry picking technique. However, it was just Lexi that continued, “Those are the bushes!”
“Is it a good time for them?” Sasha inquired, hoping that it was. It would be worth the wait, if they had to, but that was far from preferable.

"I've kinda always thought that too, Lexi," Tulip agreed as she moved closer to the bushes to examine what kinds they were and if the berries were ready to be picked or not. "I think it's the coloration Ralts have. It's very flower-like, if you think about it. And even their shape is like a little flower." She turned to look at Lexi and smile. Turning back to the bushes, she bent down to get a better look at two of them. One was a Lum berry plant and would not be ready to harvest for another few weeks. Lum berries were always the last to be ready. But the other one was a Bluk plant and the greater majority of the berries were more than ready to be picked. There were some that could stay on there a little longer, but this was a perfect example for the two younger girls.
Tulip shifted to the side, having a seat in the cool grass. She pointed to the Lum berry bush. "This is a Lum berry bush and is not ready yet, it still has a few weeks to go, notice how the are a little too green? Also, you can tell by the feel of them. If you squeeze them, lightly you'll notice they're still pretty firm. If you were to pick these right now and try to eat them, they'd be SUPER bitter and just gross all around. Lum berries are always the last to ripen."
She moved to the next plant. "These're Bluk berries and probably some of the easiest to tell when they're good to pick." She motioned for the other two move in closer so they could see the individual berries better. "Some of these aren't quite ready. The best time to pick Bluk berries is when they're a purplely-blue color, like this one." She took up a rather large cluster in her hand, pulling it off the stem and handing it to Lexi so she could see.
"Any berry that has some red to it, is about to ripen, but isn't quite there yet. If you pick it though, it will ripen off the plant." The Ivysaur gently moved a cluster forward without pulling them off the plant so the girls could get a better look. "I suggest picking these ones if you need to have them a few days later, for company or whatever." She moved the berry back as gently has she had moved it forward.
Tulip scanned the plant, but couldn't find any berries to show for her next example. "Now, if you see any that are green or white, do not pick those. They haven't even begun to ripen AND if you pick them they'll just go bad. They don't ripen off the plant at all."
"Any questions?" she looked to both girls, hoping this wasn't too much information for them. She'd only gone over these two types of berry plants, imagine how much there was to learn about all the different kinds of berries out there.

Lexi absolutely beamed when she heard Tulip agree with her. “You, you really think so as well?” Knowing that Tulip felt the same way, regardless of how the berry picking went, her day was made.
Upon hearing that the Lum berries weren’t ready to be picked, Lexi couldn’t help but giggle and look at Sasha. She was sure that she had spotted the other girl eating some the prior day. Sasha, who was well aware that she had just been eating some of them recently, added, “Well, they weren’t the best, but the Lums weren’t that bad.” Lexi had quite the appetite, but Sasha, on the other hand, would eat absolutely anything. Lexi silently shook her head, a grin spread across her face, as Sasha commented on the Lum berry.
Both girls moved in close when Tulip motioned for them. Lexi eagerly took the Bluk berries from Tulip and carefully examined them, soaking in everything that the Ivysaur was saying. After thoroughly looking over them, she passed the bunch to Sasha. Sasha quickly looked over them and then tossed them into her mouth with a smile. She was paying attention, of course, but that wouldn’t stop her from having a quick bite.
“Oh, I see,” Lexi stated, as Tulip discussed the ripening of berries. There was so much useful information here!
“We wouldn’t want that!” Sasha exclaimed, with wide eyes, when Tulip mentioned berries going bad. She would never want that to happen!
“Um, I don’t think I have any questions,” Sasha replied.
Lexi, though, she had a question. “Um, what about Custab and Kasib berries?” Those weren’t planted here, but they were two of her favorite berries. They were very sweet.

"Those two are a little different," Tulip started, "Custap berries are similar to apples when it comes to ripeness and readiness to pick, since they're such a firm berry. So, unlike the Lums, you want them to be pretty firm. If they're not, they're either not ripe enough... or they're going bad. I'm sorry I don't have any examples to show you, they don't grow near enough to my house." She gave a half smile. "Another tell for Custap berries is their coloration. You want the darker red spots to be covering the majority, but not the whole, berry."
"As for the Kasib, it's best if it's firm too, but not nearly as firm as the Custap. Ummm..." She spun around, rummaging carefully around the Lum bush. "Here, feel this. If a Kasib feels like this and is a nice bright fuchsia color, it's perfect time to pick it."
"I hope that makes sense. It's kinda hard to explain without examples." She shrugged her purple--clad shoulders.

Lexi listened intently as Tulip exclaimed how to tell how a Custap and Kasib were ready to be picked. Those were her two favorite berries, she had to be able to know when they were ready! Sasha was also listening, but, unlike Lexi, these two particular berries weren’t special to her. She loved all berries and would eat whatever she could find. Really, she just liked eating. Sasha never met a food she wouldn’t try. Heck, she had never met a Pokemon she wouldn’t taste for that matter; she was far from picky.
As Lexi reached out and felt the Kasib, she replied, “Oh, I see.” She was memorizing every word Tulip said; this was important information!
“It does, Tulip!” Lexi exclaimed with a smile. “Thank you oh so very much!”
Sasha, smiling, shook her head in agreement and said, “Thank you!”

"Aw, you're welcome," Tulip smiled and giggled purely out of a good mood. She was having a good day, despite almost given a heart attack and then being licked. Though Sasha seemed a bit... odd, Tulip bore her no ill will. to each their own she supposed, at least the younger girl seemed genuinely nice. ...Just off a bit. Lexi, on the other hand, would always be one of her best friends, she felt.
The Ivysaur girl looked to the sky, more importantly, to the placement of the sun. It was far later than she'd been thinking it was, luckily she didn't really have anywhere special to be later. Looking back to the two girls sitting around her, her head tilted to the side. "So, like... um... do you have any other berries you have questions about? If not, um, what do ya wanna do next? I don't have to leave for a bit still."

“Um, I don’t think I have any more questions,” Lexi replied, her face scrunched up slightly as if she was trying to think of something. Turning to Sasha, she asked, “Do you?”
Shaking her head, Sasha answered, “Nope, I don’t have any questions.” As happy as she was to be showed a better way to pick them, she was more interested in the eating of berries.
After Sasha had replied, Lexi turned back to Tulip. “Well,” she began, “we were playing hide and seek when you got here. Would you like to play? Though I should warn you, Sasha cheats!”
“I do not!” Sasha exclaimed, “You never said we couldn’t go on the roof! Anyways, you are the one that uses her emotion sensing ability to pinpoint where I am hiding. That sounds like cheating more than going on the roof does!” At that, she stuck her tongue out at the Ralts.
“I…I…I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Lexi stated in a huff, as she folded her arms in front of her chest. Shaking off Sasha’s comment, she added, “Or we could show you our rooms? The last time you were here they were both empty!”

Tulip stifled a laugh with one of her hands. This back-and-forth that the two kept going through reminder her of two sisters. "Well, why don't you show me your rooms first? And then you can tell me how to play hide-and-... seek, did you say?" The Ivysaur stood, waiting for the other girls to show her the way. She was excited to see how they had decorated their own personal spaces. Since Tulip lived alone, she could decorate her entire house the way she wanted.

“Sure!” Lexi exclaimed, excited to show Tulip her room. “You can see mine first!” Without giving Sasha a chance to comment, she bolted back inside and up the stairs, leading the way.
“Then you can see mine!” Sasha exclaimed, taking off after Lexi.
The two girls seemed to fly up the stairs and down the hall to Lexi’s room. Opening up the door, Lexi flicked on a light switch to brighten the bedroom and then practically jumped inside. On the far wall there was a wide window with bright green curtains that were held open. To the right, at both the near end of the room and the far end, were doors that were currently shut. Underneath the window was a twin sized bed. The comforter and two pillows both matched the bright green curtains. Scattered across the bed were a variety of plushies. There was a Ralts, a Skitty, a Tediursa, a Meowth, a Jirachi, a Bulbasaur, an Eevee, a Piplup, and a Mew. On the left side of the bed was a nightstand with a lamp that looked almost like a bush, with berries on it. On the other side of the bed there was another nightstand, this one, though, had a green cushion on top of it. On the right wall, between the doors, was a nightlight, it was shaped like a small Ralts. On the opposite wall, much higher up, there was a clock that had a Bulbasaur on its face. Underneath the clock was a small bookshelf that held a small assortment of books and some notebooks. Just to the left of the door there was a 3 drawer dresser, painted white. The walls were painted to look like a forest; the ceiling was painted to look like the night sky, with a full moon. Turning to Tulip, Lexi asked, ‘What do you think?”

Tulip followed the two girls to Lexi's room, it was a bit of a challenge keeping up with the two as they bolted off. But, she smiled as she ran after them and up the stairs, only coming to a stop at Lexi's door.
When the room was opened up to her and Tulip looked around, she couldn't help but mouth, "wow." She didn't know that a human-made building could feel this inviting! Spotting the Bulbasaur clock and plushie, she gently picked up the latter and held it beside her face so the girls could see the similarities. "Well, I just don't see any resemblance here!" she joked as she made a silly face. Laughing, she set it right back where she'd gotten it and looked up at the ceiling. "I must say, this is, like, the neatest room I've ever seen!" She looked at Lexi and smiled broadly. "I like how everything's painted to look like a forest and your dolls are so cute! It's really very nice."

As Tulip stated what she thought of the Ralt girl’s room, a wide smile spread across Lexi’s face; she was ecstatic that the other girl likes her room! “I am so glad you like my room!” she exclaimed.
“If you like her room, wait till you see mine!” Sasha replied with a nod of her head.
“Your room is too messy, Sasha!” Lexi commented back, sticking her tongue out at the end of the statement.
“My room isn’t too messy! Yours is just too neat!”
Rolling her eyes, Lexi added, “First we will show her the bathroom, though.”
“Ok!” Sasha confirmed as she leapt to the door nearest the bedroom’s entrance and quickly opened it.
The bathroom had two doors, the one that Sasha had just opened and another one directly across it. To the right of the door was a large counter with two sinks built into it. The sink nearest Lexi’s room was spotless and neatly organized. It had a hand pump soap dispenser with pink soap inside, a green toothbrush that sat in a pale green cup, toothpaste, a neatly folded green hand towel, and nearby, plugged into the wall, was a Lilligant nightlight. The other sink was a tad messier. The toothpaste lay with its cap off, the light blue hand towel looked like it had been tossed randomly, the mirror had water spots, the toothbrush lay directly on the counter, its cup counterpart was on its side, and, in place of a soap dispenser, sat a well used bar of soap. Directly across from the sinks, to the left of the door, there was a large combination bathtub and shower. On the wall, between the door that Sasha had opened and the tub, there was a towel rack with several blue and green towels and across from that, on the opposite wall, was a toilet.
