"Perhaps", said Loki, his mind racing with possibilities. He only vaguely remembered any of the Elder members, and None of them were what Perun, and more importantly Loki, wanted for the pup. "Though, perhaps you can show your worth to me, and to the pack, and take him under your wing for now."
Loki figured this way, he could keep an eye on Rorret, while he investigated the rest of this "new" Brotherhood, and keep Perun with someone he trusted. Well, as much as he trusted any wolf.
"I will be back shortly, and expect an answer. If you were to do this for me, I would be grateful". As he made this comment, he melded back into the shadows, and set off to retrieve his pup. That damn Perun, should have stayed around and heard the fate of the pack he had been brought to, instead of sulking off, and trying to hide. His pride is going to get him in a lot of trouble, and Loki only could hope that his skill would get him out.

Perun had wandered off to go explore and practice his newfound skills. He didn't want to listen to two older wolves just blabbering on and on about stuff he had no idea of as of yet. Even if it meant missing out on what his fate would be. The young pup hadn't wandered to far off though, only about a five or so minute trip away from the two older wolves. Now he was distracted by a butterfly that was fluttering about near his hiding place so anyone could find him.

Rorret's mismatched eyes glittered. He hardly had to think about the offer. A pup of his own, to train as an apprentice? It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. He said nothing however, merely nodded graciously as the purple thiefmaster crept away into the shadows.
His heart was thudding rather enthusiastically as he awaited the wolf's return. Though some of the Brothers may mistrust him, Rorret believed in nothing more than perpetuating the greatness of the Shadowclan. He would do whatever it took to obtain that goal, even if it meant his own sacrifice.
But, hopefully it would not come to that.
His gold-and-green eyes peered into the shadows, seeking out the pair so he could accept the offer and lead them to meet the others.

Loki trailed Perun, angered at the pup, and at the loss of his God. He was so angered that only the natural skill he possessed and the fact that the youngling was distracted by something that he was able to sneak up on him.
As he got closer, the Thiefmaster saw that the pup was distracted by a colorful butterfly. Here, Perun was in unfamiliar grounds, possibly near wolves that he didn't know, and he was too distracted by an insect to be paying to attention. It was time for a lesson, hopefully one that would stick with the pup longer than a day.
He stalked around, until he was near the butterfly, and allowed the colorful insect to draw Peruns attention towards him. when the winged creature was close enough, Loki stepped on it, crushing it to the ground with his paw.
"Perun, you are much like this butterfly. You are proud of your colors, you are proud of your abilities. but you let that pride distract you from the dangers around you. You were told to stay near me, and to listen. Not only did you disobey me and dishonor me, but you didn't learn anything from our encounter. Knowledge is the MOST important thing you can gain, if you plan on surviving."
Loki glared at his pup, driving his point home with the pure anger radiating from his eyes
"We do not know how I will be received here, now, with our God missing, and you are not known at all. I need you to be eyes in places I cannot go, my ears among our pack when those afraid of me speak. I want you to apprentice under Rorret, and learn well. Now return to your Teacher, and apologize for leaving without permission. and beg him not to punish you for being to willful."
Loki allowed his anger to flow out with his words. The power of his emotions lending strength to them. More importantly he needed to be clear headed when he returned to the pack. Anger, emotions in general, clouded senses, and he needed all of his senses to be acute and poised when he saw what had became of the Brotherhood.

Perun was startled at being surprised by the omega whom he pretty much adored and worshipped. Whimpering he cowered before Loki as the older wolf lectured him. He couldn't help himself from wandering! In his mind he was just a pup after all and didn't know the inner workings of adult matters. Not, that he was going to blurt that out to Loki. He at least knew better than to do that. The pup wanted to live and make his idol proud, not be dead.
At the mention of being told that he had to be taught by that other wolf though, he let out a small whine. He didn't want to be taught by someone else! "I promise I'll behave from this point on! I won't even breathe without your permission!" Perun was upset by this news, but with the anger already radiating from Loki, he cowered even lower to the ground. "Forgive my outburst. And I'm also sorry for wandering off." And he waited there a few moments to show his respect to the omega before standing slowly up. He kept his head lowered though as he spoke once more to the purple wolf. "I will make you proud that you found me and brought me here."
With that, he ran back to the other wolf so he could also apologize to him. Out of breath, the young pup made it to Rorret and lowered himself to the ground. "Please forgive me for being so easily distracted and wandering off. If you would be my teacher, I promise it won't happen again." And so the pup waited nervously for the other wolf's decision. He would serve under this wolf, but only if it meant he could be of use for Loki.

Rorret waited, patiently, for the others to return, a smile curling the corners of his lips. This was all going...astonishingly well. He could only hope that his fortune continued and that the pup turned out to be as useful as he hoped he would.
As the pup approached, Rorret's brow raised, but he listened to the apology in silence. "Curiosity is not a sin, pup. But you will need to learn self-control if you expect to survive in the Shadowclan." Ah, now, that was a lesson he had learned...but perhaps not as well as he should have. "You will quickly find that not all wolves are as patient as we."
He glanced up to meet Loki's eyes, something stirring in his chest that reminded him that today, somehow, he had met an equal. Possibly even a friend.

Loki watched Perun run off, and followed slowly. He saw the reaction the pup had when he was told that Rorret was going to be teaching him. He had expected as much, that Perun had expected the Thiefmaster to train him. He was, however, impressed that the youngling so readily accepted his fate.
The thief was more impressed with the way Rorret handled the pup. It was good to see that the Omega was not hard on the pup, the way he had to be. Loki was glad that someone who could see the worth in the pup was there to train him.
As Rorret looked at him, he stared back. He could sense a kindred spirit. "So I take this to mean you will train him? Good, he needs someone to teach him the ways of the Shadowclan. Though, I think I may be sticking around for a while. I think I need to see for myself, just how much my beloved clan has changed."
