"Me? I'm Andrew Caliu."

~Time Skip~

Waking up the next morning, Andrew stretched automatically, sparing a glance around the living room from his location on the sofa. It was relatively quiet in the home, making for a nice contrast to his usually loud dormatory building. The previous night he'd returned around midnight after each of his errands were finished, with the help of his cousin and younger sister. He'd left his single suitcase beside the door and after a quick change in the bathroom, had decided upon the sofa for his sleep. Orginally, he tried not cause too much trouble by leaving everything as it was, but after almost falling onto the floor, he had shoved a few of the pillows off to make room. Now that it was daylight once more, he sat up, giving a small yawn before plopping the cushions into their general places. While he was unsure of the exact time, he guessed that it couldn't be much later than seven, and made his way towards the bathroom to shower quickly. He had little idea of how this day, and week, would be playing out, but he'd awoken in a good mood, and was willing to prepare for anything.

User Image And I Don't Want The World To See Me,

Already awake and fully prepared to face the day, the elder Sylph present was rummaging about the kitchen for something to serve his guest. He peeked into the living room at the sound of movement, noticing that the one that had been asleep there had vanished. Hearing the shower running in the distance, he had pinpointed the location of that one. With only one shower in the house, he left his sister to sleep for now. She would be up soon, naturally, though she was rather slow and short-tempered when first waking up. Laying out an array of eggs, bacon and bread, he sets to work preparing breakfast for three. He was only halfway finished when footsteps on the stairs drew him from his 'cooking zone', and he mentally prepared himself for an irritable sister.

Content to stay in bed, the princess might not have awoken for quite some time had she not unwisely turned on her side in her sleep. Jolted awake by the pain, she cursed lightly before pulling herself out of bed. Her bare feet hit the cold floor with a quiet 'thump', and she let out a loud yawn. Running her fingers through her hair, she stands and makes her way to the door. Straightening the the short-sleeved nightgown she had been coerced into wearing last night, she wanders down stairs where the smell of breakfast was dominant. Hearing the shower running, the princess frowned and moved to the kitchen instead. "Spike my food again and see what happens." ignoring the comment about poison, Rina seats herself at the small table in the kitchen. Crossing her arms, she lays her head down, her hair fanning out on the table and hiding her face. "You know those things make me drowsy even after I wake up." not moving as a glass of orange juice was placed in front of her. "Thanks..." she mumbled, clearly still unhappy about it.

"Me? I'm Andrew Caliu."

Once he was dressed and decent, Andrew stepped out of the bathroom. The faint scent of breakfast grew stronger as he approached the kitchen, where he found two sylphs; although one appeared to be much more tired than the other. "Morning." he stated, sitting on the chair closest to him. Seeing Icarus cook, he wondered if it would be rude to take up last night's offer of recieving a meal. But if he was to stay here until their departure, he would be forced to take from their stores of food. "Care to feed me?" he prompted with a smile, leaning into one hand as his arm moved to sit on top of the table. Running his fingers through his damp hair once, his gaze returned to the princess, who still seemed to be quite drowsy. "I should have known you weren't exactly a morning person."

Glancing over his shoulder as another entered the room, the prince gave a short smile as greeting. "Good morning." he responded, turning back to the frying pan in his hand. The bacon was about done, and so he would need plates; turning off the heat, he turned to open another cupboard and pull out a plate. Covering it in a paper towel, he used a fork to move the bacon from the pan to the plate. Turning back to the table, he smirked in response to the other man's question. "I'm afraid you'll have to fight off the beast. But I do try and feed my guests." he clarified, setting the plate of bacon as well as two slightly smaller plates on the table. "How do you like your eggs?" he asked, glancing at his guest a moment before turning to wipe off the frying pan and set right back on the burner. "Rina, stop being rude and get your boyfriend something to drink."

"He drugged me." the princess accused, sitting up and yawning heavily. Lifting the cup of juice that had been placed before her minutes before, she took a quick drink before turning her eyes on Andrew. "But I'm really not." she smiled sleepily, standing from her spot at the table. Opening nearly every cupboard in the kitchen in search of glasses, she was eventually pointed to the correct one by an exasperated Icarus. With glass in hand, she moved to open the fridge. Peeking around the fridge door, her slightly drowsy gaze fell once more on Andrew. "Orange juice or milk or water?" she questioned, using one hand to move things this way and that to ensure that she had listed all of the available options. Personally, she would recommend orange juice, but she didn't speak this thought aloud.

"Me? I'm Andrew Caliu."

Rasing a brow at her assusation of being drugged, he chose not to question it or the prince's motivations behind such an action. Besides, with her wound, it was probably a good way to let her sleep enough for the recovery to jump anotehr few weeks. "Scrambled." he responded through a short chuckle at Ix's comparison to the princess. It seemed that her morning behaviour didn't vary often. "And the juice, please." he nodded to Rina, flashing a smile of thanks. It was almost amusing seeing her in such a groggy state, considering the sylph was usually extrememly aware of almost everything that went on around her. In addition to that thought, he was surprised to find himself comfortable in his current setting, instead of the usual awkwardness one would usually find after spending the night someplace that isn't home.

Pulling out the requested beverage, she sets the glass on the counter before struggling momentarily with the cap on the juice. Pouring the liquid quickly into the designated glass, the haphazardly screws the juice cap back on before shoving it back into the fridge and taking out the butter before closing the door. Returning momentarily to the table, she sets both the juice and butter on the table before wandering over to the other side of the kitchen to take the toast from the toaster and stacking it on another of the smaller plates. Placing more bread into the toaster, she crosses the room to dig out apple and grape jam from the fridge and setting them on the table. It seemed that breakfast was fairly uniform in their household, and despite the time that had passed, she knew full well how it would pass. Sitting in her seat once more, she waits for her brother to join them before touching anything.

Scrambled eggs would be simple, especially since both himself and his sister at their eggs that way. It was quick, only a matter of minutes before he was scraping the eggs from the skillet and onto another of the larger plates. Retrieving the toast from the toaster, he moves carefully across the kitchen to set the food on the table. "Take what you want." he smiled faintly at Andrew, selecting one of the forks from the middle of the table for himself. Scanning the food carefully, he moves his small plate to the plate of eggs, scraping some onto his plate before moving on to selecting his bacon. Rina seemed content to take a single piece of bacon from the plate at a time, completely ignoring the plate of eggs.

"Me? I'm Andrew Caliu."

With everybody present, he took hold of his own plate and fork to retrieve a portion of eggs, along with two pieces of bacon and toast. He ate for a few moments, savoring the food and making sure to praise Icarus. While it was simple it was truly delicious; several bars above some of the cooking he's been forced to taste in the past. "This is really good. And I'm glad that there seems to plenty enough so that I won't need to fight any beast." He smiled at the end, sparing a glance to Rina see that she seemingly content with bacon at the moment. Finishing off a piece of toast, he glanced up from his plate with a look of curiosity. "So, how exactly are we getting to the city?" He took a sip of his juice as he pondered his own ideas. He was relieved to know that flying was out, but the fact that the city moved in the air made it seem unlikely for a plane ride. He supposed a teleporter might be appropiate, if there were three in the home currently.

"Trebuchet." the princess answered immediately, selecting a piece of toast. Spreading it with apple jam, she smiled before taking a bite. Taking her time chewing, the princess kept her smile in place. "They look cooler than regular catapults." she explained, finishing her toast in silence. To be honest, she wasn't totally sure despite her strong suspicions. With her toast gone, and her hunger for bacon appeased, the princess drank the rest of her juice before standing. "I'm going to go take a shower." she announced, setting her cup and plate in the sink first. "Now if you'll excuse me..." she yawned, disappearing from the kitchen into the rest of the house. Footsteps could clearly be heard on the stairs, then again a few moments later before the bathroom door closed.

"Thank you." the prince accepted the compliment, pleased that his guest was enjoying it. "I wanted to avoid a battle. They're so messy." he smiled in amusement, biting off a piece of bacon. He chuckled at his sister's explanation, shaking his head so that hopefully Andrew wouldn't believe their joke this time. He was about to explain when his sister stood to leave, and he made no objection when she went to take a shower. It would be best if they were ready soon, and his sister was quite fond of long, hot showers. "There's a portal in the spare room upstairs." he explained, setting his fork across his now empty plate. Settling back in his chair, the prince seemed to be in a better mood today. "It would be tiresome to just fly back and forth every time I wanted to visit her. I'm going to have to rework it a bit, or there will be some.... complications when you try to pass through."

"Me? I'm Andrew Caliu."

Turning his head to Rina's direction, he debated for a moment if this was the truth. He watched for several seconds as she stood and left, quietly waiting for her to take back her joke. It was her serious expression that always caused his doubt, but this plan was far more outragious than the last, forcing him to wait for someone to give another answer. Finishing his eggs, he nodded to Icarus, glad to hear the truthful way they would depart from the home, and that his girlfriend had been kidding. As he picked up his glass, he listened to the added information. It did make sense to have an alternate path, but the idea of a problem arising for himself was troubling. "Complications?...Because I'm human, correct?" He would have to trust that the prince knew what he was doing, or else flying wouldn't seem like such an odd idea after all. Finishing off his juice, he supposed that while the sylphs went about their buisness he would have to make himself busy by calling a person or two.

"It's only set up to teleport Sylphs. Just in case someone got in here while I was away." he explained, standing from his seat. He would clean up the kitchen before moving to fiddle with the portal. It would be simple, as he intended to use the dishwasher for everything except for the frying pan he had used. Rinsing the dishes, he loads the dishwasher quickly and efficiently before scrubbing his pan clean. A messy kitchen was not something he enjoyed, and he had little intent of allowing it to be left in such a state while he was gone, especially when there was a guest about. "Hopefully, she won't take too long. But I really must set to work on that portal if we're to leave at a decent time." he smiled apologetically, vanishing up the stairs and into the room at the end of the hall. He left the door cracked, just in case, and magic flowed freely from the room and into the rest of the house.

Choosing not to take her time, it would be rude to lock herself in the bathroom for an hour when she didn't technically live there, it was a short fifteen minutes before the water in the bathroom was shut off. She fussed with the wound in her side before giving up and using medical tape to hold a patch of gauze in place. Her side had healed nicely over the last night, but she would still need to be careful with it. Emerging from the bathroom with damp hair, she was dressed very casually in jeans and a sweater. Feeling the magic now permeating the air, she shivered and touched the glowing pendent around her neck. Glancing up the stairs, she chooses to move away from the source of magic and go in search of her boyfriend; they hadn't seen each other in a while, and there was catching up to be done. "Andrew?" stepping into the living room, she moved to stand in the doorway to the kitchen in search of him.

"Me? I'm Andrew Caliu."

Standing up as the prince finished his rinsing, he couldn't help but feel slightly guilty for not helping. He gave another thanks before standing from his seat, letting Icarus go about his buisness with the portal. Turning at the sound of his name, he found Rina occupying the doorway. "Yes?" While he'd expected her to take longer, he was happy to see her. She looked much more alert now, and he was willing to give alot of credit to the pendent she wore for her current state of health; She was walking around without showing any signs of pain, making yesterday's scare seem as if it had taken place awhile ago. "You look nice." he said, motioning to her attire. It was simple, but her comfortable stance made it seem beautiful on her. When she was at ease, he would never disagree that it made him feel better. "I haven't really had a chance to say so lately." His hand ran through his hair as he smiled, though his gaze wandered briefly up the stairs at the small prickle of loose magic. He paid it no mind, knowing that anything such a portal would cause such a thing, and instead returned his attention to his girlfriend.

Feeling better and more awake now that was showered and dressed, the princess's eyes lit at her boyfriend's compliment. "And I've felt oh so neglected." she teased, obviously joking. She wasn't the type that required constant compliments, but that didn't mean she didn't like the occasional one. It had been a simple statement, but she was glad that she didn't have to dress up around Andrew to receive such a comment. Motioning for him to follow her into the living room, she shoved the large pillows on her chosen half onto the floor except for one she moved to her lap. Crossing her legs on the couch, she didn't want to push her luck standing for too long; while she did feel better, she would rather sit and not give Andrew any more scares in the near future. She had noticed his attention turning to the stairs, scolding herself for being almost surprised. After all, the man could hardly be unfamiliar with magic. "So. How were your finals?" she steered the conversation into a more casual direction, turning the attention away from herself for now.

"Me? I'm Andrew Caliu."

Following to sit beside her on the sofa, he smiled at her statement, knowing that she was far from being dependent on sweet talk. Shoving his own half of pillows aside, he sat beside her, answering her question. "Very well. I guess studying all night really helped. I was able to pass every class." Most of his exams had contained very little multiple choice questions, and relied heavily on essays and free response. Each of his classes had earned at least a 'B' due to his finals, so he was far from disappointed when speaking about them. "But I was thinking about transfering back to Reed's after another semester." His major was in teaching, but he had hoped to do so in a subject where he could help magically inclined students such as himself. To do that, he would need to find a school inside the veil, of course, and Reed's was the closest.

Pleased that her boyfriend was doing well, the princess smiled at his success in classes. She had been doing quite well in her own classes, and had even picked up cello. She had wanted to play bass, but it had proved to be a bit more difficult with the size difference. Her teacher had attempted to persuade her towards violin, but she had refused. Rina perked up as he mentioned coming back to Reed's. "Really?" she was momentarily surprised, but very excited. She intended to stay at Reed's for a Master's Degree in music. She had completed her general requirements, and most of her music for the BA degree. She needed to buckle down and start working harder on her drama, as well as move on to her Masters requirement. "What do you plan to study?" she asked, rather curious now that he seemed to be getting down to his specialization. He had said years ago that he wanted to teach defense, but she wasn't sure if that was still the case.

"Me? I'm Andrew Caliu."

In response to Rina's first question he nodded, a part of him very pleased by his girlfriend's reaction. While the main purpose of such a descion was for his degree, he knew that it meant they would be able to see each other more often than the past few years. "Magic theory is my intended major, with a minor in charms." he answered, knowing that it was the best of choices offered by Reed's to understand how a person's powers worked; therefore learning of how to defend one's self from it. "What about you? How've your studies been going?" He'd known that she was interested in pursuing music, much like her mother, but he was unsure how far she'd come in her graduate degrees and the intstruments involved.
