all i did was beat the first chair eighth grader in a competition.....i really wonder wat its like to be under the second chair.....ive never been under second chair.........AND I WANNA PLAY THE CORNET!!!!! I WANNA BE A FLUTE/CORNET!!!

I'm in intermediate band, and I'm in seventh grade. Second chair wOOT! Our first chair clarinet is not very movable, and the first chair flute will NEVER be moved. She played in division 1 at Solo Ensamble! She went to state too!!! Anyway, back to me, I just don't practice enough to be first.. 4laugh sweatdrop

Congrats. I've been in first chair from sixth grade through eighth. But my HS band director seats you according to age...and I made it to second chair in wind ensemble, the 1st is a senior who made it to the honors band last year...but wait till next near! xd

im also first chair and have been for 3 years. not adding the fact im the only french horn in the only band sweatdrop

I've been first chair for 3 years and I'm talking about high school band. My flute section has about 22 flutes. We are a pretty big band.
