Silveril Volce

________________________

It was probably the only time Silveril held a conversation with anyone in the school. This conversation was lasting longer than his with the potions professor when he asked her to make him potions to protect his skin from the sun. "A pleasure to have you in my class, Angela. And you are correct, I am Silveril Volce." Silveril answered, "Take your time looking through those. I recently read them so they're still fresh in my mind."

It put Silveril's mind at ease. At least there was another creature in the school that Silveril could speak to normally other than the arrogant potions professor.

((Lol. I was about to go look through a bunch of books or hire a professional. xP Just kidding~ xD but I was going to look through some of my textbooks. o_O))

"I will," Angela said, smiling as she stacked the books up neatly. She was glad she signed up for this class. At the very least, if she didn't like any of the other students, or teachers, there was at least one person it seemed like she would be able to get along with. Even if he was a teacher.

"Perhaps after I'm finished, we can discuss them together," she suggested, feeling more than a little awkward to suggest it. "My family doesn't really care much for scientific things," she added sheepishly, hoping he didn't think she was being weird. "The Fae tend to be sort of stupidly occupied with, well, themselves really. And dancing under the moonlight and loads of other pointless things. Not that I mind dancing and all that, but it does get a bit tiresome after a while. Yet every time I wanted to turn my attention elsewhere, or focus on other things, there was never really anyone to discuss things with. Even my tutors didn't really focus much on anything besides magic and lore and the like. So...yes."

"I'm rather glad to be in a place where I can study the things I enjoy. I'm rather looking forward to your class, Professor."

You hiss and groan and you constantly moan

Luke was out, about, and ready for his first class, "Physics". He was hoping that this would be an advanced course, with all the details and such, but after quietly observing some of the students in this school, well... he wasn't optimistic. Coming to class with a leather-bound notebook embroidered with the word "Science" on the front and spine, an old time ink pen, and a small bottle of ink, Luke seemed to be plenty prepared in his tastes. He entered the classroom and gave both the teacher and the other student a scathing evaluation, taking in their every feature with his eyes. Luke grumbled something about another "elementary year:" He took a seat at a desk and waited for someone else to say something; surely it wasn't his position to be fighting for the attentions of a professor who may have well known less than him.

Her sudden mention of the Fae perked Silveril's interest since he had always been curious of the nature of other creatures. He never found mingling amoungst them any fun since the expected him to contribute a bit too much in a conversation for his comfort, but he enjoyed observing them. He's witnessed a few of the Fae and they did a lot of dancing if he recalled the experience. He saw them as rather lively creatures. He was slightly surprised to realize that Angela was one of them since she didn't strike him as one. Taking in her appearance again, he realized that she did have the appearance of one at least. Silveril had a lot to learn when it came to other species.

"So your family doesn't care for such things? Well, they clearly are missing out on quite a lot then." Silveril remarked, "I don't mind discussing such topics though. Perhaps it is one of the few things I can actually converse about."

Silveril turned to the student that had just walked into the classroom. "Is there something that you need?"

Luke looked up with the realization that the class hadn't started yet. "Hmph. I suppose my schedule must be flawed, for I certainly didn't make a mistake in the time. Yes, it's all the schedule's fault... Well, since I am here, I would like to pick up my text book so that I may review the information." He said, grinning and standing back up.

Angela looked up as another student entered. He looked at them sort of the way she looked at squashed bugs on the bottom of her shoes. That is to say, he didn't seem overly impressed with either of them. She returned his look with a cool stare of her own, her grey eyes following him to his chosen seat, before dismissing him as a trifle.

"Thank you. I appreciate your letting me borrow these, Professor Volce. I'm quite sure I shall finish them in no time at all. And no, unfortunately, Fae have absolutely no appreciation for modern science whatsoever. It's likely not sparkly enough. Not that all Faeries sparkle, mind you. But it seems like the Seelie are annoyingly prone to it."

She didn't mention her own stupid affliction. One thing she had learned very shortly after her Fae heritage decided to assert itself, was that no matter how angry you were or how hard you hit, no one respected a person who looked like she was wanting to take up a new career as a light bulb.

She paused when the other student started speaking again, glancing back at him. "Actually, perhaps I could add a textbook to my stack as well, while I'm here. If you don't mind, of course."

He figured that the Fae might be something like that. He wondered how ridiculous they were. Perhaps he might ask Angela if she could explain a bit more of their culture. However; he didn't want to offend her by thinking her kind as being foolish and silly so he had to think about it a little. To Silveril, it was amusing seeing other creatures think that they are so prestigious when all of them are really just utterly ridiculous.

He glanced from Angela to the other student. These two students will probably be the ones that Silveril wouldn't have to worry much about. He might want to give the other student a more challenging book since he seemed very knowledgable.

"How diligent of the two of you. I'm afraid this class might be too easy for you two, but you can pursue your own extra studies if you wish. I have resources in my classroom. Feel free to look through the books that I have." Silveril answered as he returned to his cupboard and started to pull out more stacks of books. Silveril gave a textbook to Angela and he gave two to the student. "I think the thicker book might suit your liking better. It's a bit more challenging than the one this school's curriculum uses."

Luke smiled at the comment, and the last few shreds of modesty he had kept him from saying something to the tune of "I covered this in third grade." So he kept his mouth shut and took the books. He gave the two another glance, making a mental note, and strolled out of the room with out any other noise.

"What a smug git," Angela muttered as the other boy walked off without word. That was precisely the sort of person she absolutely could not stand. In fact, people like him were why she had been so eager to get away from the court. She vaguely wondered if he was fae--though he honestly wasn't good looking enough. She looked back at the professor without any shame at having openly insulted another student. "And that is pretty much what every Fae you ever meet will be like. A smug, shiny b*****d who won't even lower himself to talk to 'lesser beings.'" She frowned.

"Oh! Well, not all Faeries. I mean, I'm not really like that. But I'm only half anyway. And clearly I don't really get on well with the others I would be off dancing amongst the bluebells and mushrooms rather than standing here blathering on..." She trailed off.

"Right then. I'll just stop talking."

At least those in the Seelie Court had a reason to be full of themselves, being all magical and immortal and such. Even if they did have a bad habit of stealing babies and other oddities. "Um, thank you. For the books. I, at least, appreciate it."

Silveril didn't seem to mind the boy's haughty attitude. As long as it avoided conversation, Silveril was actually quite fine with having a student like him. As long as he wasn't disruptive, Silveril didn't think there were any problems.

Silveril was slightly amused by Angela's ranting. Perhaps it was because she was mentioning abotu the silly culture of the Fae, but he didn't seem to mind her ranting compared to other people when they ranted.

"Your welcome. Seeing how the academy has given the us a week's vacation, you probably don't want to be in this dark classroom. I hope the sun is starting to set so I can step outside. I still have yet to get used to the sun." Silveril replied, "I think I ought to be heading out since I will not improve if I stay in here all day."

"Ah...right...yeah." Angela trailed off, sighing a bit as she picked up stacks of books. "Well, the truth is that as much as I don't get on well with Fae, I don't really get on well with Humans either so perhaps I'll just return to the dorm and read." Though there had been quite a lot of trees on the grounds, and that park wasn't too far away. She supposed she could go there. Perhaps sketch for a while. And seethe about the blonde git.

"I'll let you get on with your afternoon then. I do appreciate you letting me borrow the books." Studying the Silveril's face for a moment, she realized he must be some sort of vampire--or a related race. There weren't many that couldn't go out in the sun, other than them. "At any rate, even if there's no class this week, perhaps I'll see you around here and there. I'll let you know how I'm getting on with the books."

She hugged them close and backed toward the door. "Thank you again." Turning around, she left the class quickly, stopping out in the hall to let out a long, slow breath. Ugh...she was shaking a little. It was rather nice to be able to speak with someone without wanting to pound their face into putty, but it was also a bit nerve racking. She kept expecting to say the wrong thing--or for him to say the wrong thing.

But hey, she had managed to get through a conversation with a promising teacher, without hitting him. This was progress! She started down the hall, figuring that regardless where she wanted to go, she was going to have to stop by her dorm to drop off her books. And perhaps change into something less stifling. When had she gotten so rambly, anyway?

Maybe it was just the fact that she hadn't had a normal person to talk to in several years...

Silveril was fairly pleased that his classes took place later in the day. It allowed him to sleep in before coming to school. Silveril hated mornings. It was only natural that he would hate mornings since he was a vampire after all. He still felt sleepy since vampires still needed to be asleep at this time. The potion that shielded his skin from the sun didn't help him at all.

Silveril had already prepared everything for today's class. All he had to do was wait for the students to enter. Silveril sat at his desk and sipped on his drink as he paged through a book that he had borrowed from the library.

Physics. It sounded.... tough. Originally a junior back at her old school, Kasie avoided hard classes like the plague, and from the complaints she's heard about Physics from even the smart people, she always declined taking this subject. Hopefully, she wasn't going to struggle that much.

Maybe she can burst into the classroom and make friends with everyone in there. Then, they can help her ace this class, and so, she did. "Well, he~ll-!....Oh."

Kasie's voice died down when it was only a ohsnickerdoodlesboyboyboy teacher. How... awkward. "....Hi?"

Silveril was dozing off as he was reading his book since he was still sleepy. He jolted awake to the sound of a girl's voice. Silveril blinked as he tried to comprehend what just happened. Since he was asleep, he didn't hear what the girl had just screamed as she came bursting into the classroom.

She looked at him awkwardly and murmured and almost inaudible "hi" to him.
"Good afternoon." he said to the girl, "There are stacks of books in the back of the room. Feel free to grab one and take a seat anywhere."

There might be a slight problem with that. Sheepishly grinning at her teacher, Kasie awkwardly mentioned. "Oh, uh, s-sorry about this, but I'm kind of dead. I can't exactly touch anything much less your books. Well, I can try, but I can certainly guarantee that your books would be soaked. I-It's not like I do it on purpose or anything though! I just died this way..." There goes her usual nonsensical babbling, but, this teacher was pretty distracting by being eyecandy.

Then again, who wasn't in Kasie's eyes?
