Appearance description: (optional) Angela stands at about 5'2" and has ghost white hair that falls to about the middle of her back. Her shadowed eyes are pale gray and her complexion near flawless ivory. She is small chested and thin, and is sometimes mistaken for being a bit younger than she is owing to her size and features.

Personality: Remote and distant, Angela takes abit of time to warm up to people. She is often sarcastic or angry, and can be rude to people who annoy her; her sharp tongue and quick wits always at the ready in case someone needs to be taken down a peg or two. She has a low tolerance toward anything irritating, and a quick, violent temper. Though she does like to tease, she can be quite moody and fly into a fit of temper at the least thing. She hates being looked down on, and in a way, her anger is compensation for her own insecurities. Though she comes across confident, she actual is anything but. She thinks very poorly of herself, which is why she is so sensitive and easily offended. She tries to keep herself from developing relationships because she feels awkward around people, and is intensely afraid of being hurt. She is a compassionate girl who does care for others, but finds it difficult to sincerely show it in day to day circumstances.

But once one gets past the rocky exterior, her quirky habits and teasing make her fun to be around, and her fierce protectiveness and loyalty, make her a great friend. (As long as one doesn't tease her about her chest size)

Bio: Angela's father was a faerie noble of the Seelie, but her mother was a normal woman. After meeting Helene, and having a several year fling with her, Eoin had to return home for a "brief visit," not knowing that Helene was pregnant. But time passes slowly for immortals and before Eoin realized how many years had gone by, Helene had passed away. When he returned to find her, he learned of her death, and learned that they'd had a daughter--only that daughter was no where to be found.

In fact, Angela had been taken in by Helene's uncle, a Human scientist with an insatiable curiosity about magic. Angela was not "raised" by her great uncle so much as she was "studied" by him. He put her through a vast array of tests and experiments to see how fast she could learn, how strong she was, what her endurance was like, and how he far he could push the limits of her magic abilities before her body couldn't take it any longer. She hated him and tried many times, unsuccessfully, to run away.

It wasn't until her father, Eoin, finally was able to track her down and rescue her that she finally was able to get out from under her uncle's iron-fisted control. However, lack of socialization made it difficult for Angela to fit in among the Fae nobility. She rebelled against her father and their relationship has been rather poor since he found her when she was 13. It was her uncle Ettiene's suggestion to send her to Rosentale where she could be around others her age, in the hopes it would help her open up, and overcome the shadows and trauma left behind by her past.

Skills and Abilities: Angela has some mild manipulation of light--mostly in the form of causing objects to emit light, or creating small flashes. Sometimes her body emits light when she is distressed or feeling strong emotion.
Angela has the ability to manipulate electrical currents but her past experiences trying to use her magic has depleted her confidence, causing her to often spiral out of control and end up destroying things around her instead of being able to direct and use this ability properly.


Character Flaws:
Angela is overly sensitive and gets angry over trivial things. Her temper is rather violent though she has finally worked up to being able to take out her anger on objects instead of people.
In spite of her size, Angela does not back down from physical confrontations. She is stubborn, angry, and reckless, even when the odds are stacked against her. However, when it comes to anything that causes emotional turmoil, her first instinct is to run away instead of facing the problem. She doesn't know how to handle her emotions and tends to respond to anything confusing, with anger before running away and refusing to deal with the problem at all. In one area, she is too brash, and in the other, too cowardly.

Extra Information: Because Angela is only half Seelie, she encounters some difficulties when using her magic. She has a pair of malformed wings in her back, that constantly try to emerge when she uses her magic. Her back is a scarred mess from the times her great uncle would force her magic to extreme levels, causing her wings to emerge violently. Because of the scars, it's difficult for her to wear shirts with backs on them--the fabric rubs against, and irritates the scars, causing her a lot of pain.

As a fae, Angela has a few unexpected eccentricities that crop up now and again. She has almost a compulsion to climb and perch in trees, and also generally hates wearing clothes in general. When in her room, or alone, she has a tendency to lounge about in undies likes it's the most natural thing in the world.

Has a near obsessive love for boots.

Name: Zhori

Species: Fire Elemental

Age: Unknown (looks around 25 but actually much older)

Gender: Female

Appearance description: Zhori has bright red hair that falls in slightly chopped layers down the back of her neck. Her fiery eyes have no visible irises or pupils, but are a solid menagerie of red, orange and yellow. She is around 5'7" with tanned skin and a variety of blue ceremonial tattoos over her face, and the rest of her body all of which have a special meaning to her people.

Personality: Playful and exuberant, Zhori does not often get angry. Even when she is arguing with someone, she tends to maintain a slightly teasing (almost mocking) tone. She is somewhat arrogant, thinking herself slightly better than the people around her, but she doesn't come across as painfully arrogant. It's more obvious in the gentle ribbing she is constantly giving people. She is the sort of person who seems to take nothing seriously, though this couldn't be further from the truth.

Zhori has a strong sense of duty, and will always fulfill obligations she has. She just happens to feel that life isn't worth living unless you're having fun; and she is determined to have fun with everything she does. She doesn't hold grudges, and is very easy going. People often feel she doesn't care about anything, because she rarely gets emotionally worked up about anything that happens.

Bio: Zhori grew up in a large, happy family. Most of her family was much like herself in personality and though she often had a difference of opinion with her brother Des, her childhood and teenage years were relatively uneventful. She left home at 17, becoming something of a vagrant as she backpacked around, singing in local bars and clubs for a bit of money when she needed it. She eventually went to school, focusing her studies in music--her passion.

Zhori let herself be more or less just swept along by life, not overly worrying about any of her choices, and eventually, somehow, ended up a teacher at Rosentale. Only time will tell how long she will stay at the school before being blown to another place, or setting out to wander around again.

Skills and Abilities: Zhori has a natural fire resistance--as in fire won't burn her. She is also able to shift her body into a state where it is made of flames. In fact, this is her natural form. In her human form, her body temperature is highly elevated, contributing to environment unfriendly to viruses and bacteria. So she rarely gets sick. In her "fire form" she is exceptionally weak to water and can take serious damage if she gets wet.

Her voice cannot hypnotize, exactly, but it does have a soothing, calming sort of quality when she sings.

Flaws: Zhori doesn't always act appropriately or respectfully. Going through life like she doesn't have a care in the world makes her seem like she actually doesn't care about anything so people can find it difficult to get close to her.
She often takes her teasing too far, without realizing when she's crossed the line into being offensive or hurtful.
She really does think of other people as being slightly lower beings--particularly if they're not a long lived or immortal type race.
Reckless with her abilities to the point that people have gotten hurt in the past.

Name: Sethrian Terkynna

Species: Fae/Human hybrid

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Appearance description: Sethrian stands at around 6 feet tall. His black hair is unruly and somewhat curly, often giving the impression of him having 'bed hair' though he does make a bit of effort to tame the curls. His skin is the color of coffee with just a bit of cream and his muscles are well toned. He comes from a family of fae that have snake-like qualities and thus, his crimson eyes are distinctly reptilian, with black sclera and slit pupils. He has ebony scales that cover his back, shoulders and hips, as well as pointed teeth and a bifurcated tongue.

Personality: Sethrian is gloomy, moody and exceptionally serious. He is blunt to the point of being rude and does not mince words for anyone. Unpopular, and often alone, Sethrian has few friends owing to his rather unpleasant personality. Though he is stand offish, with a frigidly no-nonsense exterior, Sethrian is an incredibly lonely person. He has almost no self-esteem and expects to be rejected for his oddities. Because of this, he doesn't give the people around him a chance to reject him; he rejects them first.

If one were to win his friendship, they would find that underneath the gloomy exterior, Sethrian has a dry sense of humor and a love for pranks (which he pulls off with a flawless poker face). He is the sort that falls in love easily, but always with the wrong girl--one who doesn't love him in return.

Bio: Sethrian's mother had a fling with some Unseelie stray and ended up pregnant. Not wanting to be saddled with a fae child to raise, she dumped him with her parents and disappeared into oblivion. Seth's grand parents did their best to raise him. And it went reasonably well for a while. He was a bright, friendly child with a lot of friends, and caused little trouble outside his silly pranks--that is, until he fae attributes decided to assert themselves in his pre-teens. It started with what looked like a horrible rash of some kind, on his shoulders. It eventually spread over his back, neck, hips, and the sides of his legs. And then the scales began to grow in. His eyes began to change as well, and his bewildered grandparents took him to numerous doctors to figure out what was wrong with him.

In the end, the changes were permanent, and caused people to shy away from him. In the Human town where he grew up, he stood out too much, and became a target of bullying. It was only his abilities that saved him from being beat up on a daily basis. After the first time he instinctively spit venom at another boy, people avoided him. He was ostracized and rejected, and even his grandparents were slightly afraid of him, though they tried their best to hide it. He became withdrawn and sullen, his personality souring as he realized that it would likely be like this his entire life.

Eventually, he was sent to Rosentale in the hopes a bit of a break from his hometown would help him sort himself out.



Skills and Abilities: Sethrian has a passive ability that emits a sort of aura of fear around him. Most people experience this as as a sort of slight foreboding, or uncomfortable feeling when around him. In general, most people find him intimidating, but can't place why.
Sethrian also has the ability to sense heat sources that are nearby(body heat, temperature changes, etc).
Finally, Sethrian has venom sacks in his mouth and is able to spit or inject venom into people. The venom is a mild neuro-toxin that causes temporary paralysis and, occasionally, seizures. It takes a few minutes to work, and wears off in a couple of hours.

Character Flaws: Seth's biggest flaw is his personality. He's a rude, moody grouch that slinks around like a cesspool of emo. He's also sort of a closet pervert...

Extra Information: Sethrian very much likes to cook, and is actually quite good at it. It's something he can sort of pour himself into without having to worry about being rejected.
He sheds the skin over his scales every so often. He finds it utterly revolting and tries to hide it from the people around him in spite of the fact that it makes him miserable and itchy and very, very, very grouchy.
Sethrian has slightly exothermic qualities. He has difficulty regulating his body temperature internally, and has to find ways to heat up or cool down during extreme weather. He is especially sensitive to cold and becomes sort of sluggish during cold weather. He's highly susceptible to hypothermia. He doesn't shiver, or sweat, or fun fever when ill.
