Lana'thel hisses at him, her tail flickering behind her before she knew what she had to do... flee. Taking to the skies as quickly as she could she ran away from him... she would plan her revenge though, there was no doubt about that!
Her familiar clung to the long strands of her hair but right now she could care less. She could hear Demon calling after her, and it angered her that her shoulder ached and throbbed, the blood still refused to ebb. He may have got his way, may have indeed marked her... but she would not simply allow it! Would not simply sit back and let it go forgotten.... she would wait... and plan... and one day, she would get her toy back... begging for mercy at her hooves.
Demon grinned as he watched her flee... she was fleeing! He never would have bought the day would come when she would give up, let him win... and he felt rather like parading around with the new found confidence her actions instilled.
Yet he wasn't done... not just yet at least. Calling after her, with a wicked glint in his voice, "That's right! Flee Lana'thel! Know that all will now know of your dishonour! That you were bested.... by the very creature you created." The student had out shone the master. No longer would he linger in her shadow. No longer would he fear her. No longer would the nightmares hold such power and dread over him. "You're nothing." He said softer, to himself, the grin refusing to fade as he made an exit of his own. He started off on land, his mind a buzz with the new feelings swirling inside of him.
Today was a good day! A very good day indeed.....!
Now all he needed was to lead his army of misfits and black-hearts to go and get Cherish back.... he would rip her family apart piece by piece if he needed to! Would destroy everyone and everything that stood in the way between him and what was his... and Cherish was his, not because he made her stay but because she wanted to. That was the difference between him and Lana'thel. He could make people stay of their own free will, offer them things no one else could... they would not turn on him... of that he would make sure! For he had come far too far to let anything stand in his way now, to let anyone destroy all that he had put together and started. Cherish would be his once more, and with the past behind him he could look forward to a glorious and bloody future!
