Nuru gave Zar a nod before brushing his hands together to knock off the jerky dust. He turned his body around facing Zar on his hands and knees across the bed cover.
His entire body seemed to dissipate to darkness and the darkness grew. It took a few moments to solidify into the very large black lop-eared scraggly dog that resulted. His red gaze lingered on Zar again. Quietly scanning him for his response.
His tail started wagging again while perking his lop ears.
"So?" He asked curiously

Zar looked Nuru over thoughtfully. "Well. You look like a dog. So I guess you weren't joking about that." Though he still had to stare at the massive claws that he had uncertainly. "Though those look pretty dangerous." Dangerous to his silk sheets too, but he didn't complain about them, his father could replace stupid sheets if he had to, he couldn't replace first impressions. And he didn't really want to come across as an obsessive compulsive nutcase.
He did have to fight the urge to try and pet Nuru though.

Nuru had looked down though. It seemed as if he almost realized the damage he could do to not just the bed spread but the bed itself on his own. He carefully walked to the edge of the bed then stepped down to the floor with minimal ease. He was pretty tall but gangly as he sat on the floor.
"Soooo~" He cooed.
"About yourself?" He grinned an all-too-huge grin after asking.

"Ab..about me? Well. I'm a demon. An incubus." He threw it out there hopeful that Nuru had never heard of that particular type of demon, he didn't seem hugely knowledgable as yet so Zar kept his money on him not knowing the exact details..or stereotypes of that particular race.
He did edge a little nearer to Nuru though.
"Can I pet you?"

"Ah... uh... what's an incubus demon? Sounds... like an automobile." Zar was right. Nuru hadn't the foggiest yet. He wasn't that used to the 'living'.
Still, Nuru was knocked out of his thoughtful daze as Zar shifted at him. Ears twitching slightly uncertain of his intent... but then he asked. Nuru seemed hesitant though.. buuut... what harm was there in it?
"Sure... uh... just... don't forget I'm a person. Not a pet, 'kay?" He raised his brows a bit. His tail scooting rapidly across Zars floor, kicking up dust bunnies.

Zar took the oppertunity to pat Nuru's head, scratching him gently with his claws behind the ears. "Noted" he stated, though mentally his thoughts seemed to be elsewhere, this boil could be helpful he decided. Possibly gullible too.
"Oh and incubi are..demons that enjoy emotions. Specific emotions more often than not. Lust is the one people generally assume. I'm more..other sorts of emotion, frustration and the like. Lust's too..overwhelming for my taste" he laughed wrly. "I imagine if I was around any significant amount of lust I'd have to go do some very serious filing or end up rather ill"

Nuru tolerated the patting but enjoyed the scritching. Leaaaning into it as his foot thumped against the floor a little. Deciding to keep up some pride by not mentioning how ffffffffantastic that felt.
"I see." He stated rather distantly.
"I notice you have a huge thing for paperwork by the way... why..." He paused grumbling delightedly at ear srtch. "why is that?...Do you work?"

Zar smirked to himself and kept right up the ear scratching. Not a pet, eh? "Well I do a bit of secretarial work for my parents. That's all. I enjoy paperwork, its fun. I can...read things by just touching them. I have instincts for where is best to file them. Things like that. Its just..easy for me, and it makes me happy to create order out of chaos, neatness out of mess. It makes me feel in control, powerful."
"And its a very nice way to take my mind off anything that might distract me."

"Don't like chaos, huh?" He questioned with a very playful smirk playing on his maw before giving Zar a thoughtful look.
"You like me, right?" He asked with a deadpan expression. Tail going totally limp to add to this effect.

"I don't mind chaos, it gives me something to do. I'd be pretty bored without it. But I do like to try and sort it out, yes." He was however completely thrown by the Barghest's question.
"I er...er...why..wouldn't..I? You seem friendly, and you've not said anything at all unkind" He felt as if he was walking into some manner of trick question.

"Well... I've been told on many occasions I am very VERY chaotic." He grinned.
"You just caught me on a day when I'm very... " He couldn't quite put a claw on it.
"...Mellow?" He grumbled approvingly as his ears twitched rapidly a couple times causing one to get stuck flopped over the wrong way.

Zar raised a brow. "Well as long as you keep the chaos to a bare minimum around me I'm sure we'll be friends. You are pleasant company when you are mellow though. Hopefully that wouldn't change too drastically when you aren't." he flicked his tail almost contentedly as he moved to daintily sit back on the bed, crossing his hooves, looking Nuru over thoughtfully.
"I'm not normally this calm either." he smirked "I tend to do a whole lot more stuttering and stammering around other people."

Nuru shifted over to plunk his chin on the edge of Zars bed. Staring. Again.
"So. Pretty much act like you did earlier when I first startled you?" He asked while still staring unblinkingly.
"Oh. Um. There's one other thing about barghest. We're su-ppoooosedly an omen for death and stuff. Bad luck if you will." He gave Zar a dopey little smile.

"Ah. Well. That won't affect me in the slightest then, I'm about as unlucky as its possible to be, maybe you'll push me off the other side of bad luck and into fantastic good luck instead." Again he lazily patted Nuru's head, his father had kept a few pets around and now his initial instinct was to pet anything remotely animal-like nearby, at least when he felt at ease. "But yes, like that. I tend to defensively go into stammering mode whenever I get..taken off balance. It tends to mean people go a little easier on me."
He shrugged his shoulders. "Its probably a reflex, not that its ever worked when it actually matters. It tends to just make me an easier target when people are looking for the weak link to attack."

Once again looked irritated at being pat. What happened to ear scritches? Bah, demon is holding out on the good s**t it seemed. He glanced off quietly refusing to continue a decent conversation until the boil did something more enjoyable and less demeaning.
