Danny gave him a hard look and then stomped out the door, slamming it shut. Stupid Rikki. Stupid Edel. Stupid everyone.

Now that she was outside the dorm though, she didn't feel so confident. It really was colder out here, and all the ice and smashed glass was still there. She was suddenly missing the ripped sweatshirt quite a bit. Danny rubbed up and down her arms, but the feeling didn't go away.

Maybe she should just go back. Turn around and stay with Rikki in the warm room. They could just cuddle up and do what he said; wait for the teachers and stay calm.
