Blackrose_Knight Bigbadbo3 That's the thing with words that are read, not spoken; not everyone interprets them the same way . I have my interpretation, you and Esiris have yours. Which is why one must be extra super careful to be clear when there is no intonation and non verbal cues. Agreed, but sometimes, people have to be trusted to be able to find out for themselves what someone means when they say it. That, however, is in a perfect world, and the human world is far from perfect, and so we must constantly fumble around in constant verbal warfare, unable to say what we really mean with few words, but being severely inconvienced every time we have to relentlessly defend our position by throwing in more unnecessary words. A sad truth, but our verbal existence in a nutshell.

Bigbadbo3 She didn't say that all straight people cheat. She basically said that there are some straight people that gripe and complain that gay marriage will degrade straight marriage, yet some of those same people cheat on their spouses, thus degrading it themselves and breaking their supposed 'holy bond.'
Thank you for getting the point. I was speaking about straight people that cheat, they are the ones that degrade marriage, not gay marriage. Or another example, albeit not the most common one, fake marriages like Kim Kardasian's 72 day marriage. Stunt marriages cheapen the institution.
Everyone else, does that clear it up what I meant? >_<
Side note, how does someone that has me on ignore even see my post to quote me?

Lady Kayura Taeryyn Could you please provide some sort of description in your post? So people know what it is you're sharing and why?
I know what this is about.
"Former Minnesota Senate majority leader Amy Koch has been a vocal opponent of gay marriage, and in 2009, she tried to amend the Minnesota Constitution to add language stipulating that “a marriage between a man and a woman is the only domestic legal union that shall be valid or recognized in Minnesota.”"
She's pro-family and Christian and the type of closed-minded bigot I hate. But the kicker is, she cheated on her husband and had an affair with a staff member. xD I really love when people say gay marriage will cheapen straight marriage. Straight people do that themselves. But a gay man wrote an apology letter to her, apologizing that him being gay (and all gay people being gay) for ruining her marriage. I found the letter to be a great read. I'll paste it below.
Dear Ms. Koch,
On behalf of all gays and lesbians living in Minnesota, I would like to wholeheartedly apologize for our community’s successful efforts to threaten your traditional marriage. We are ashamed of ourselves for causing you to have what the media refers to as an “illicit affair” with your staffer, and we also extend our deepest apologies to him and to his wife. These recent events have made it quite clear that our gay and lesbian tactics have gone too far, affecting even the most respectful of our society.
We apologize that our selfish requests to marry those we love has cheapened and degraded traditional marriage so much that we caused you to stray from your own holy union for something more cheap and tawdry. And we are doubly remorseful in knowing that many will see this as a form of sexual harassment of a subordinate.
It is now clear to us that if we were not so self-focused and myopic, we would have been able to see that the time you wasted diligently writing legislation that would forever seal the definition of marriage as being between one man and one woman, could have been more usefully spent reshaping the legal definition of “adultery.”
Forgive us. As you know, we are not church-going people, so we are unable to fully appreciate that “gay marriage” is incompatible with Christian values, despite the fact that those values carry a biblical tradition of adultery such as yours. We applaud you for keeping that tradition going.
And finally, shame on us for thinking that marriage is a private affair, and that our marriage would have little impact on anyone’s family. We now see that marriage is more than that. It is an agreement with society. We should listen to the Minnesota Family Council when it tells us that marriage is about being public, which explains why marriages are public ceremonies. Never did we realize that it is exactly because of this societal agreement that the entire world is looking at you in shame and disappointment instead of minding its own business.
From the bottom of our hearts, we ask that you please accept our apology.
Thank you. John Medeiros Minneapolis MN

Just seeing links scares me. One too many times have I clicked and then taken to a fake login page. I tend to be a little paranoid. >_>
And glad to help. ^^
