[BATT] Battle Royale Round 1 (Minist vs Zeffer)

"HNG!" Minist bit her cheek from crying out. Well, she got what she asked for. She felt unsteady on her feet, her breaths were coming more rapid, and her vision blurred slightly as the currents swept through her body. Wincing she gripped her wrench and swung at his hand. He still seemed in fine shape, she knew she was losing. If she was going to lose she was going to lose smarter by hopefully hurting his hand enough that he could only use one of his weapons.

Ow, ow, ******** <********>. He howled as her wrench clipped his hand, it hurt so bad he was almost sure it had, perhaps, broken something. He nearly tripped while he was shaking out the hurt, and it was obvious that the minor injury was proving to be a distraction when he came at her again, barely able to grip the baton in his right hand. He'd just have to stick with his right, he supposed. He lunged, but missed, cursing softly as he tried to regain focus.

Minist saw her chance. As his attack missed her he had left himself wide open. Without wasting a second she swung at his face as hard as she could. It seemed her plan had worked and now she needed to hit him with everything she had. The fight was definitely not over yet.

Or was it? Zeffer was seeing stars. Minist had been a blurr, and then the wrench had connected with his face, sending him stumbling backwards, and nearly falling to his a**. Blood started to flow from his mouth, thick and blue, and he spat out a few sharp fangs onto the ground.

Oh, that had hurt. It had awakened within him a spark of rage that often accompanied pain. Losing himself, he snarled at the yellowblood and went after her with a fury that he hadn't held before. Spitting blood, he charged Minist and lashed out in a fashion similar to the way she had, striking her on the side of the head with the baton in his good hand.

Minist's eyes grew wide as she saw him coming at her angrily. The next second she was skidding on the ground, the side of her head throbbing. She twitched as she tried to bring herself back up. It was over. One eye closed she pulled herself up onto her elbows and looked over at him. "N-nice. . . hit." she gasped. Then she shakily got on her feet and put her hands up in surrender. She ached all over and had no plans on continuing. Still, she couldn't help smiling as a yellow line dripped from her mouth.

The fight was over...and it had been close. Zeffer could not deny that he was hurting now, and that he was pretty tired. He staggered away from where he'd slammed Minist down as he recovered from his flash of anger. Shaking his head, he reached up to feel his sore jaw, a bit startled by the wetness of the blood there. Looking back, he stepped back over to Minist, giving a nod, trying to smile. One of the fangs he'd lost was visibly gone, only a gap there, now.

"Good fight." he said, panting quietly, and looking about the coliseum as the crowd swelled with noise.

It had indeed been close, and at the end Regina had been leaning over the balcony as the lowblood had given her opponent a run for his money. But now they had stopped, and it was clear that there would be nothing else from them for a while. So, lifting up her microphone, she resumed her duties.

"Outill is down for ooone .... twwwwo .... thrreeee....fouuuuur.....five! Ayyyyyuund we haaave a winner! Siroco moves on up, IIIIII repeat, Zeffer Siroco is going to the next rounds!"

The arena was indeed filling with noise, and once the name was presented it was taken up as a chant, spilling out of the building and into the streets, letting the entirety of Four Fronds exactly who the winner had been of this round.
