Yokai comically looked at the vixen in annoyance. He didn't like her, at least that is what he told himself. So then why the hell was he following her around when he didn't have too.
"Where are you going....you were headed this way now you're going in the opposite direction."

“I doubt you could stare at a tree long enough to notice anything about it judging by how fast you categorized myself.” She gave a short barking laugh and kept walking away. “I was looking for signs of stupid, but it looks like he’s gone… now I’m just trying to get away from you Mr. Scribble Ribbon. ” She looked back at him with a glare that usually made Ico come to heel like he should when he was doing something stupid.

"Is this guy's name really stupid, or do you just call him that?" Yokai looked at the vixen, thinking about it. If this male was a friend, then wasn't it a little rude to be calling him stupid, and if he was an enemy then why was she looking for him at all.
"Trying to get away from me?" He chuckled, "Well good luck with that...I find it amusing pissing you off."

“I call him stupid because that’s what he is. Honestly the little brat is always getting into trouble and if he didn’t have me to get him out he’d have been dead a long time ago.” She glared at the scribble male. “Do I look like a mother to you? Why the hell should I have to take care of that stupid.” Her claws dug into the earth as she started swearing under her breath again. First Ico kept just disappearing and now this male enjoyed annoying her?!? She whipped around and gave the male following her a smile. “Well if you like annoying me I should tell you. I love your starring.~” She was of course being sarcastic, but no need to let him know that.

"Well..." Yokai looked at hr puzzled, "Didn't you say you were always getting this stupid male out of trouble. That sounds like a motherly thing to do to me." He shrugged his shoulders, "Sounds like you babying the guy. Maybe that is why he keeps bolting away. He doesn't want to deal with you smothering him anymore. If he doesn't fall down and hurt himself then how he is going to learn to stop jumping?"
Where the hell had that advice come from? Yokai chastised himself for saying it out loud. It made him sound stupid. And what did he care about this vixen or her stupid male?

Motherly? Motherly!? Trish whipped around and glared at the male. She was seething. “I am n-o-t motherly! There is no part of me that is in the least bit motherly. Mothers watch out and clean up after messy kits and have no lives other than caring for brats. I am not a mother and I doubt I ever will be.” Stupid male. Didn’t he know that becoming a mother was the death of all free time a vixen had? It would be worse than death since it would mean being confined and tied down. Trish didn’t want that. Still the more she thought about the more she was annoyed with herself. She didn’t baby Ico. He was just stupid. “I don’t baby him.” She pouted.

Yokai looked at her baffled, "But you were just saying that you were the one that was taking care of him...and obviously you are worrying about him. Those seem like motherly things to do. Otherwise why would you care what he is doing?"
The male shrugged his shoulders, "Seems strange to me. Babying the kit rotten...No wonder he thinks he can take off whenever he wants."

Freezing Trish continued to glare at the stupid male in front of her. That wasn’t right she only took care of Ico because he was so weak that a kit with a quick swipe would be able to kick his tail so bad that Ico would have to climb a try to get away. “Ico and I have been friends since we were kits. I look out for him because he is so pathetically weak. That does not make me motherly. A mother has to give up her life to keep a kit safe or whatever. I just keep stupid out of trouble and then go do whatever I want.”
(oh dear I can just see that Ico is gonna have to meet Yokai.. it will be interesting)

Yokai looked at her, "You seem awfully defensive about this....you've said many times that you looked after him because he was weak. Just seems like something a mother or a big sister would do. It really isn't something to get so offended by. You're really a strange vixen." The male looked at her slightly confused.
"So...where do you think this rotten kit is? I can help you find him. No doubt I am a better tracker then you are."

“Being called a mother is the worst. Mothers have to give up their freedom to take care of others. They get covered in dirt and filth and all kinds of just ewww..” She shuddered even thinking about it. This male seemed to have no idea what mothers did. Didn’t he have one? She shook her head.
“Well I had his track earlier but I lost it at the water.” Her voice was a bit of a huff. “I couldn’t find him I doubt you could. ”

Yokai frowned at her, "I think that vixens all over the world would have to disagree with you." He turned and looked off to the side, "My mother could not wait to have kids...me and my brothers. And it...we, have nothing to do with her freedom. She can still run her tribe, be with our father and fight off intruders.
"Never heard her complain. But I guess when you love something enough...you don't b***h about the little things that you don't like. It would probably be a good idea for you knew to mate then. Cause you won't be wanting to have kids at all, but male in his right mind would sign up for that...unless your gay...in which case I would fully understand."

“Well who knows maybe it makes a difference if you raise a kit as an adult.” She huffed and started heading back toward her den to try and pick up Ico’s scent again. If she found him then she could show this stupid scribble ribbon what a pain in the tail Ico was and then maybe he’d figure it out and stop whining on how she viewed the world. Until he knew what it was like to take care of something so hopeless then he’d view the world with a bit more perspective.
“You know what scribbles I think you should meet stupid. Maybe then you’d figure it out.” Yes she’d take him back to the den and let him sniff around for Ico and fail at finding him while a second glance might let Trish find where the blue menace had gone off too. She’d show Yokai and then rub his nose to the ground with it.

Yokai looked at the vixen like she was insane, "Are you saying that you are not an adult?" He looked her up and down slowly, "You look like an adult to me." He blinked. Was this vixen insane? She thought she was a kit? Uhhh not even close. She definitely had the body of a full grown woman, sleek muscle mass, shiny fur, pretty tail....Mm...He gulped and quickly looked away.
"Yeah.... never mind. You totally look like a kit to me."

Blinking she tried to figure out what he was saying. She sighed. “ah no. I know I’m not a kit. I’m an adult, but I started taking care of Ico when I was a kit.” She rolled her eyes. “Maybe I’d have done better if I had been an adult when I started taking care of him… That was all.” She shook her head. This jerk saw her as a kit? That was just insulting. “I’ll have you know I happen to be fully grown.” She stood and slid her tail along her shoulder and back before flicking it out behind her.
“Stupid scribble ribbon. If anyone’s a kit it’d be you.” She looked at him. “Still wearing your mother’s ribbons and such. ”

"Oh...." Yokai thought he felt a little bad about calling her a kit. Maybe. Pondering the issue for a moment....Mm....Hm....Yep. He felt a little guilty. But only a small amount. And the hell he was going to apologize for it. It was her mistake anyway. If she wasn't so confusing he wouldn't have gotten the wrong impression.
"Hey!" He glared at her, "This bow belongs to my father actually." He pawed at the ground. "Its a family tradition for men in the family to have it....so you know what....you can just...stuff it." He made a face at her.
