"Lieutenant Xenotime. It's a pleasure to meet you. Alright, now you are one of us. A servant of chaos, and a soldier in the Negaverse. A good crowd to belong to, believe me." She grinned with pride, appraising the new soldier's look and liking what she saw .

"Now you get to learn that basics. You'll be given a quota to fill: we need the energy of civilians to fuel out goals, to be rid of the Senshi from our planet. Energy is collected from human targets. You can collect it however you'd like, though drawing attention to yourself or to us is generally frowned upon."

She chuckled. She was a big fan of making big shows of things.

"I'll show you how to draw energy out of a target, but I think I'd like to see how you pick and capture a target. Everything else we'll explain as we're going along. It might seem like a lot to take in, but you'll pick it up just fine, I'm sure."

"The pleasure is all mine," she all but purred, her smile seemingly fixed onto her lips as a now permanent feature.

A soldier huh? She could be a soldier. She could be a damn good soldier. Sure she was young, but she made up for the lack of age with years worth of experience in training, and a very stubborn determination. Not to mention her surprisingly strong work ethic.

As Paintite started in on the basics of what she'd need to know, Xenotime brought an arm up to rest on the top of the heavy bag beside her, leaning against it casually. She was listening, damn near drinking in every word, but she was still a teen. A bit of attitude, even through body language, was to be expected. Each point the general made was nodded to to show she understood, and she only spoke up again when the other woman paused. "First rule of fight club, Got it." She didn't know if Pain would get the movie ref, but she hoped so.

Silver eyes lit up a little more when the general mentioned what amounted to hunting someone down and subduing them. Her posture straightened out of the casual lean she'd taken on, arm dropping back to her side. "Well what are we waiting for?"

Painite got the reference, being a bit of a movie nerd. She didn't even dislike American movies, though some felt it was her job to as an Englishwoman. She watched Xenotime and grinned, very much liking her choice so far. That familiar sense of almost parental pride was beginning to form in her gut, as it did each time she took a new Negaverse Lieutenant under her wings, or at least introduced them to this world.

And she liked attitude. It was just another reflection of potential.

"What are we waiting for, indeed?" She laughed, and reached her hand forward to take Xeno's wrist. She looked the girl in the eye, smiling ear to ear, then the two vanished from inside the gym. They reappeared in the alley outside, and Painite let her go. Teleportation was damn fun, and even Painite reveled in the ability despite having been a General for some time now. She should have been used to it by now, but she still adored it like a ride.

"Alright, newbie," she said, folding her arms over her chest, "find me a target, and show me what you can do."

The more Painite grinned, the smugger Xenotime felt. Clearly she was doing a good job at pleasing the general, and that seemed a damn good start to her role as a negaverse agent. There was also an odd sense of pride connected impressing the person that had corrupted her, some need to prove herself.

Silver eyes dropped to the hand that took hold of her wrist, then widened as the pair of them teleported out of the gym and into alley along side it. It was instantaneous, a little alarming, and absolutely amazing. Painite doing it alone was impressive, but taking Xeno along for the ride? Even better. And she'd be able to do that now! ********, she'd wanted power, and the general did not disappoint.

"That was kind of amazing, not gunna lie." She chuckled, glancing up a Painite, not even bothering to hide just how excited she was about the whole thing. Screw playing it cool, this was awesome.

When prompted to do so she glanced around, eying the immediate area for any signs of vagrants or lowlifes in the alley itself. There was none, but Destiny City was like any other large metropolis, and a good majority of it never slept. She moved along the shadows of the alley towards the road beyond, watching the passing bodies that crossed her path every so often. When she reached the last stretch of darkness just before the opening she waited, back against the wall, until an unsuspected victim wandered along her path.

It didn't take very long. The second a body slid into view Xeno moved, grabbing the arm of the guy's coat and dragging him into the shadows she was currently keeping to. Before he could so much as cry out she'd adjusted her grip on him. One arm tucked under his chin and pressed against his throat, the other up and around so her hand was covering his mouth. All those years of lessons and training came in really handy.

She dragged the man back towards where Painite was waiting, and when she was close enough she drove her knee into the back of his own, forcing him down so she could control him better. "One target, as ordered. Now what?"

"Isn't it?" Painite laughed. "Don't worry. I'm sure we'll be having teleportation lessons in due time. I don't think you're the type to slack off and settle for what you have now. As long as you strive forward, you'll have this skill soon enough."

She took a few steps back and watched the new recruit keenly. It was always interesting to see what instincts they had, right off the bat. Some went for violence, because they did not know better, and of course did not understand how energy draining worked. Or that subtlety was an option.

Others took to the shadows very well. Painite liked to see what she was working with, to know how to help them flourish, and see what they really needed to be taught.

She almost laughed as Xeno caught her first civilian with little effort. Clearly, catching targets was not a lesson she needed. Good. It was nice to be able to skip to the fun bits.

She moved forward and put her hand on the poor man's head. He slumped a bit as she drew his energy to her. Turning her palm over, she showed Xeno the small glowing orb. "Focus on the energy inside him. All you need to do is touch, and draw it to your palm. You can form it into a little ball, like this. Take as much as you'd like: though we tend not to let the body count rack up unless we have to. We clean up our messes, as well. Don't worry about him, he'll pass out and won't remember most of this."

No Ma'am, Xenotime was not the sort to slack off and settle. She might have seemed a rebellious teen, and she was, but she was ambitious. If there were ranks to be scaled, Xeno would climb them, eagerly, and with rather surprising determination.

She watched keenly as the general reached a hand out to touch the guy's forehead, and her grip on him loosened as he went limp in her arms and finally fell forward, unconscious. "Now that is nifty," she commented idly, resting her hand on her hip.

The Glowing orb carried a certain amount of interest for the rookie agent, and she stared at it curiously as Painite explained the ins and outs of energy gathering. Fingers curling with the desire to reach out and touch it, but she kept her hand at her side. "What do we do with it once it's gathered?"

Until the general had mentioned it, Xenotime hadn't really considered the implication that the man might remember things, specifically her. "What happens if he does remember?" The way Painite talked it seemed the negaverse had been at this for a very long time, so surely they had all their bases covered.

"You give it to me," she said, nodding her head, "and I will deliver it for you, until you're more able to do it for yourself. You can deliver it to any higher ranking Negaverse soldier, but I would like to keep an eye on you, my pet."

She smiled. No one ever liked being called pet, but it was just a term of endearment to Painite. Like Minion. They were words she used for her friends, and of course her Lieutenants.

Glancing down at the man, shaking her head.

"He won't, and if he does he won't believe himself. There would be a lot more news stories of people complaining about being attacked and drained of energy if they weren't so stupid as to convince themselves that it didn't happen." She shrugged, not seeming too worried. "As long as you're careful, and think things through, you'll be fine. And of course, always keep up with your improv: it'll be very useful in situations that seem to get out of your control."

She offered the glowing orb to Xeno, who seemed so interested in it.

Porsha nodded, glancing between the general and the unconscious man at their feet. "Yes ma'am." Good to know she could use any higher up to make deliveries too, but like Painite, she preferred to make her drops directly to the other girl. Not just because she'd been the one to awaken Xenotime, but the lieutenant was developing a fondness for the higher ranking agent. There was a similarity there between them, or two, or three...

She listened at Painite reassured her that the man wouldn't be causing any trouble for her down the road, nodding along. "Good to know, and that makes a lot of sense." When she stopped to really think about it, she'd only heard a small handful of muggings or assaults that came off as a little strange. If there were indeed as many agents as Painite let on, then by all means there should be many more, but there was nothing. "Let's hear it for simple minded masses."

She gave a curt nod to the note on improv work, grinning, then happily took the glowing orb as the general offered it out to her. It was lighter then she expected, and she turned it over in her hands, admiring the slightly eerie beauty of the thing, then offered it back to Painite.

"So is there anything else I need to know about?"

(Would you like to end this one soon, or keep it going? It's mighty old. o 3o)

"Not tonight."

General Painite smiled and put her hand on the Lieutenant's shoulder, nodding her head in approval after one final look over her new recruit. She had done well with this find, and would pat her own back later about it. For now, though, she was perfectly happy to let the girl bask in her new power and aid her along as needed.

"I don't want to push you too far in one night. There is a lot to learn, and you will find, in time, that you'll have your own methods for getting through this life. I look forward to seeing you find your path, though, and seeing just where that attitude of yours is going to get you. Ever higher, I imagine."

She grinned, not being sarcastic now at least. She saw that spark of promise in the new recruit, and it was always a thrill to find. Good things, at least in terms of the Negaverse and how they defined 'good', would come from Xenotime, of that Painite was sure.

"You should get home. Me as well, I think."

Xeno nodded, a little disappointed, but she understood. As much as she would have loved to follow the general around all night and soak up all the knowledge she could give her, it was late, and they both needed their rest.

Hard to gather energy when you were lacking it yourself.

A grin flashed in Painite's direction at the continued faith, and she rolled her shoulders in a small shrug. "I've always been the ambitious sort." At least where it mattered. She was eager to begin this new life, to prove herself and gain ever more power as a result. Those above her would not be disappointed by the rebellious teen that'd just entered their midst.

Another nod followed Painite's suggestion that the both of them should find their ways home. The general would surely have an easier time of it, teleportation and all, but Porsha had been coming and going at all hours of the night for years now. If her mother was aware of it, and Porsha suspected she was, she made no indication that she gave a ********. Really, this suited the new lieutenant just fine.

Powering down, the teen crammed her hands into her pockets and rocked back on her heels, smiling at the woman across from her. "Until we meet again, then?" She had little doubt the general would find her again to continue teaching her everything she'd need to know. Poe offered a final nod, a grin, then turned to leave, humming happily as she made her way out of the alleyway and down the barely lit street.

I would call that a wrap, unless you want Painite to make a final post. <3
